The Worst Recruitment Agency Ever!
Applied more than 25 jobs with 100% matching skill set but always received negative response, seems like they have fake jobs or agency is fake, even when I used them to recruit people still can’t find the right person for me!
Utterly Useless
I had a brief experience with Lafosse, judging by the other reviews I had a lucky escape
They asked me to meet their staff at their offce, I bought a return train ticket and I arrived on time, no one was there to meet me and discuss the contract, after an hour a different consultant met with me who had no idea about the role, I never found out about the role nor would I have gone on a 4 hour wild goose chase, chasing a contract that clearly did not exist
I will never use them again
Some Of My Skills Is Very Rare...and I Am Deeply S
Some of my skills is VERY RARE...and I am deeply strong and experienced on this very rare skill that I've. Sent my CV...got the same automated response like all of the other ppl on this review. I don't think I am the last drop of water of the desert and of course sometimes I really fail in a hiring process. But when this skill in particular is necessary I receive at least a phone call because it's insanely rare to find people on the market with this skill. So, it's easy for me to presume that the opportunity don't even exist.
Don't Waste Your Time Applying
As many have stated below, if you do make the mistake of replying to their advertisements on any of the well know web sites, you will most likely get an auto response such as:
"Hello,
Following your recent application for this role, we are writing to let you know that unfortunately, you have not been successful this time.
While we understand that you wouldn't have applied to this role unless you felt you were a good match for it, please bear in mind that our assessment is relative to the profiles of the other applications we received."
They are just a CV Silo not an agency.
Fake Jobs
Fake jobs advertised they just want your refs. Dont waste your time they will keep you on phone for an hour then will ask for refs.?????????????????????????????????
La Fosse Or La Farce ?
Do they actually have any positions? If they spent less time on rejecting applications and more time on securing actual vacancies, they might get somewhere in the market place,
Don't bother wasting your time applying to them
Terrible Service. Zero Follow Through. Waste Of Time.
I used this company on recommendation of a friend who knows the Founder. Admittedly, he hadn't hired anyone thru La Fosse, but he had heard that they were meant to be different to most recruitment companies. Idea is they give very few CV's. They gave me all the spiel about why they were the best. Breath of fresh air I thought! Sadly I was so sold on their pitch I didn't bother checking the reviews on here and now I wish I had.
Their business model is a classic case of over promising and under delivering. They promise you the earth and can't find the candidates. Except it's worse than that. They promise, then fail, then tell you they never made the promise in the first place.
If you're looking for Developers don't bother. Despite what they might say upfront, they only have one person working on their entire Dev function, yet they will sell themselves as a 'Tech' consultancy. Their network is too limited, and they don't have a big enough pool of candidates. Looking at candidates reviews below it seems like they just don't get back to people, maybe because they only hire junior staff according to the reviews on Glassdoor. Whatever the reason, don't use them. They are a waste of time.
Mixed Feelings
I know/knew a few of the guys at La Fosse including the owner. Normally I have found that they del more with senior roles and when they think they have a good match they will be in contact a lot.
As with all agencies they only chase candidates that they think they can place- its how they get paid.
Not Even Worth The 1 Star
After countless applications made for a number of roles and consistently being advised by an email to be unsuccessful, I concur with all the other comments made of La Fosse Associates and their attempt to work in an industry invested in people is much to be desired. The lack of wanting to meet with candidates who clearly have the credentials and their poor people management skills leaves one to wonder how they are still in business, or is it a game of playing the numbers and the more they attempt to supply the more chance they have of gaining a seat within a business. I only wish I had come across this review site earlier in my search so as not to have my time and effort wasted. I most certainly will not be supporting this agency with any business for now or future. As an agency is in most ways an extension of the business they are seeking to supply candidates for, surely companies have an interest in who they have as a face for their own business.
I have similar experience with them. Now I simply ignore their adverts and feel sorry for companies that trust them.
Automated Response.....again!
Seems I'm not the only person to have experienced La Fosse Associates lack of professionalism and general lack of ability.
Having applied for a role where, scrolling through the job spec, I ticked every requirement, I get an automated response a day later saying i'm unsuccessful. No feedback, not even my name in the salutation line.
Surely a recruitment agent would at least want to meet with a candidate who matches the job requirements and then decide if they would be a good fit for their client and whether to submit the CV?
Do not waste your time with these!!
