as others mentioned they call ppl and ask for ex employers not really interested at your profile. So sad whats happening with recruitment market in UK. It's already second company having similar unethical practises!

This company is so so weird.

The world of recruitment agency is already pretty bad, but here they don't help.

Basically I got contacted (and then chased) by someone called "Charlaine Baruque" (hope she is not faked) regarding a Sales position for a software vendor. Got in contact with the client for a first call, but basically the Charlaine had no idea on the process. She was just calling me to catch up on what the client had already directly told me. Very akward.

And then absolutely zero news.

Very bad practices. Avoid.

This company is a joke. I don't think they have any real jobs. Instead they present job adverts from other recruitment sites from the past to get a CV from you. Unable to provide any details on the job when you phone up - don't know the company, the location, the size of the team, no job specification. As a genuine job seeker following redundancy, dealing with this bunch of time wasters is the last thing you need. Stay well clear.

This recruiting agency posts fake job ads to lure in unsuspecting professionals, just to extract information. I was called by one of these "agents" about 10 minutes after I applied to a position advertised by them. Needless to say this "agent" didn't even read it! Asking questions about things that were CLEARLY stated in my CV.

This person then proceed by giving me a VERY loose and vague job spec (Unknown exact duration, number of team members) whilst "not being able to disclose the name and location of the client" because "that will be disclosed by my manager", manager who, ofc, never called. The agent in question then asked me if I was interviewing with any other company, as they "had to notify their client", I said yes. Worst mistake I could have ever done, as the agent spent the next 10 minutes trying to pry the name of the company and manager I was interviewing with saying that " It is necessary to complete your profile" and "the client wants to know"... Phishing at its finest.

At the end of this "interview" they person I spoke with emphasized the importance of me sending them multiple references from past hiring managers and directors. I answered by saying that I will be happy to provide them once I my application moves into the interview stage. Needless to say, it never did.

Avoid like the plague.

The hiring guys do not know how to speak to experienced professionals,clearly they have no idea of the market they are recuiting for.They try to gather information from you,they do not have enough materials to answer your questions.In all likelihood,they are not directly in touch with the HR of a company,probably sub agents.There are plenty of good agencies in the market.If possible avoid these guys.

This is a Bogus agency who call you up on pretext for a job , but covertly collect information on key managers from the past client you worked with.

Never give information on the managers you worked with.

Lawrence Harvey Search and Selection is a disappointment. All this 'fake grass' in the office and other stuff, they forget to mention that they also have 'fake people' in their offices.

No customised solution for jobseekers. A internal target driven culture is what one experiences.

There are for sure better and more personal recruitment companies.
