I had a week of Sourav from Ranstad Maidstone ringing and emailing me to fill this out and chasing my references.

When I had finished and sent them everything he asked for NOTHING!

I didn't hear anything from them and they ignore emails.

Unprofessional and rude!! Avoid!

As a student entitled to weekly mental health support, I was left in an unacceptable condition in my 2nd year of university because of my mentor's sheer incompetence and negligence. He kept making excuses about workload claiming he could only commit to supporting students every 2 weeks, yet I only received support from this service every 3-4 weeks on average. Nothing was acted on when I reported this poor work ethic, and I was required to make contact with my university's wellbeing team because I had no mental health support. I was then put on the waiting list for my university's counselling and was not given my support quickly enough. A complaint was made and my mentor did only a few sessions weekly and then resumed his negligent behaviour. After much protesting, I was eventually able to secure a different mentor who did commit to doing it weekly, but it was still difficult to get hold of the company for this problem to be addressed sufficiently. If said mentor has not been fired from this company yet, I will be shocked. For any students at university with mental health issues, I suggest you search for a service other than this one.

In voted to dexterity test for role with Ferrero. Left in reception for 45 mins before chasing with reception. When they finally turned up there was no apology and the person actually said he would try to get me in early as though he was doing me a favour when it was already 45 mins late. Hardly great preparation before doing a test but they didn't care as long as they get paid by Ferrero

Started a job at a local plant through Randstad in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Was hired as a Forklift Operator and was originally told that I would be paid a particular hourly rate. I was supposed to work partly on the line and partly as a Forklift Operator, but as I started and they got rid of one of the operators, I somehow slid into the role fully. I was cool with that. I agreed. I worked the 1st week and then the 2nd week and this was supposed to be my first paycheck. The first week, I asked my recruiter if they had my payrate down correctly and he told me yes. When it came time for me to get my paycheck on that Friday, I went onto the portal and did not see a paycheck for me which I thought was very strange. I started getting worried so when I got off that Friday morning, I still had no paycheck into my account. I waited for the representative after working 12 hours and he stated that he was sure that payroll had put time in for me I was tired and ready to go home. The HR Rep claimed that he was going to contact the lady in charge of payroll but it was still a little too early. I later on received a call back from him stating that the payroll lady confirmed what he thought had happened and that she had released my funds already and that I should see it at any time. He claimed that she was supposed to call him back with a reference number. I was not feeling this at all, so before I went to the office, I googled a Customer Service number which I called and they told me that payroll NEVER put any time in for me. I asked about my hourly rate and when they told me, I was livid! That was not the payrate that was discussed and I had been driving the forklift almost right after I started because I had to take my test. I went to the office. A bunch of running around (about 2.5. hours) and now they tell me that I would not be paid out until Monday. I know it does not help, but I'm sorry was all that I could get out of him. I was so upset. How could this have happened? Where is my correct pay? Where is my orientation pay? I called out two nights because I was sick and I have bills. I just felt betrayed all the way. Needless to say, I was contacted again by the same HR guy today (WHEN THEY DEPOSITED AN INCORRECT AMOUNT INTO MY ACCOUNT) telling me that he had to terminate because of the days I missed! Say what?! Man, where is the rest of my money and I have a check coming this week as well. I guess that pay is going to be messed up, too. This just CANNOT be right what they are doing to people. Very UNPROFESSIONAL!!

Take your details and references send you to the wrong building site, then tell you the client does not need you, worst agency I have worked through, lucky for me the client snapped me up and I got the work.

Stay away from these little r@ts! Not even bothered to answer your phone calls, voicemails, messages and emails! Just a timewasters!

This review is based on fact. Recruiter at Randstad got in contact regarding position of manufacturing engineer at Caterpillar Belfast. Advised that he would apply and send CV to client. No job description was sent. Have heard nothing from him no reply which is professional courteous as other recruitment companies will do advising if client interested and status of application. Contacted Randstad after one week and still waiting on job spec and information. Signed FR

Got told being paid stillwaiting while staff going for weekend in Barcelona on my and others wages

Sacked me even though I was performing because my mother had a stroke and they got concerned I might be off. Used the excuse I had a CV on CV Library so I couldn't be trusted.

HR then wouldn't talk to me and a week and a half later I found out they charged me so much for working there I got paid £79. Should have been 2k. £500 alone for training. They don't tell you this or they ''retain" further money from you as "fuel withheld".

I wasn't bitter about being let go really but I find the excuses to take so much money off people absolutely scandalous. They will do anything possible to keep your wages.

They hardly gave me work once I had passed their requirements and then rang me after a year to ask me how much another agency is paying me! Heard that they go to schools and offer a cheaper rate so that supply teachers are paid even less than they are now!

Don't ever use them, they do not provide their staff with proper pay and will use you to find out information about other agencies. Very sly!
