Utter Rubbish ... Waste Of Money
Unfortunately i used them to train for my HGV licence and got absolutely nowhere. if you want to throw £2k at a so called professional driver training company , and then do all the leg work yourself. then this is the company to go with.
on joining i was booked on to a training portal in order to train for both theory and hazard perception tests and that as they say was that. there was no follow up calls to check on my progress, i had to call them to book me at test centre to take exams which i passed 98 percent.
Again radio silence from their end no call to see whether i had passed and to book me onto the next stage Driver training. I called them to complain and got a short shrift " who are you ?" response. I immediately emailed the sales guy to complain that the only paperwork i had received was my invoice for payment and that they struggled to find my details on their books, the following day he called to apologise and advise he had escalated my issues to his bosses and someone was going to call with my booking details for training which they duly did. At the same time i was told as i have had my licence since 1989 i was EXEMPT from the CPC qualification (totally incorrect when i researched myself) when i challenged them they advised me that the salesman was new to business and advised me wrongly . in order to do the CPC course this would be an extra £750 which due to their mistake they would discount to £550 . At first i thought this was a good gesture but again i did my research and found a company who did the course for £350.
and finally at the time of signing up with HGV Express they advised that once i had passed they would then act as recruitment agents and introduce me to the big logistic companies as of yet no one has got in touch to check my progress. ive emailed the so called director of the company with my complaint and chased up 5 days later as i had not received any reply and as of writing this still my email has gone unanswered.
To be honest based on my experience with them i would not trust them to organise a proverbial drink up in a brewery let alone a meeting with a professional logistics company .
dont be fooled by the glitzy advertisement they dont know what they are doing.
TOTAL AND UTTER RUBBISH OUTFIT . I DONT THINK THEY EVEN OWN A LORRY JUST SUBCONTRACT WORK OUT. i would not give them 1 star
Very Helpful And Very Good Speaks I'm Happy With

Go Somewhere Else.
Save your money and go somewhere else or even better, go direct to the driving schools. I passed all my category C tests with hgv express a couple of weeks ago but would not recommend them to my worst enemy. When I initially spoke to them, I was told that when passing my tests and becoming fully qualified that they would help me to find work in my area, that they would recommend me to companies that are looking for drivers in my area and that they're recommendation would help me to find work, this hasn't happened and was probably just shpiel to get me to spend money with them, one of the many training advisors that I had to deal with who booked my weeks training with a local training company, couldn't be bothered to tell me that my practical driving test was at the end of my weeks driver training, I had to find that out for myself by ringing a different training advisor a few weeks after my test had actually been booked. I didn't receive any reminders on the week or day of my test or even just a friendly 'good luck with your test' on the day, would have been nice, especially after the amount of money i'm being charged. I had to ask for more training/revision for my cpc case studies test as all they done was sent me a book that I could have gone out and bought myself, and probably saved myself a few quid too, and now after passing all my tests and waiting 2 weeks for my new licence and d.q.c. card I find out after speaking to the dvla, that I need to send off some more forms to get my digital tacho card which is going to take another 3 weeks. Thanks hgv express for telling me this (not) especially since your a training company and said you would take care of everything. I even phoned them after passing all my tests to tell them I passed, as they couldn't be bothered to phone me, and see how I got on, and all they said was congratulations and didn't give any advise on what my next steps should be eg. sending off for my digital tacho card, helping to find work. So thanks for nothing hgv express, oh except a huge bill for your utterly useless service, take my advice and don't use them.

Q&A
Is this company worth the money? Have they found anyone any work? I don't want to waste my time and money on them if they just keep taking my money and don't put work my way to pay for it all.
t the moment I am still waiting for my liscense from the DVLA but they have offered me work although I haven't been able to take the work also just because they train you up it doesn't mean you have to stay with them once your training has finished you can go with any agency you like and you can take any offer of work you like basically all they do is train you up then try to find you work I think ( I don't know if this is correct ) they are a driving agency who also get you the training needed so they make there money not only on the training but also as an agency would I recommend them well they have been very good with me reassured me that this often happens with the DVLA of which other people have also said this and phone me every couple of weeks to see how things are going so even though I have not yet started training they do seem to be doing there job so as I type this yes I would recommend them hope this helps answer your question
Has anyone had the pass protection element? Does it cover me until I pass or is it limited?
Can I cancel my finance? I now need to care for someone 24/7 and won't be able to do the job. All I've done on the training is book my theory, I haven't sat it yet.
