We have used Currency Solutions for a number of years, and although they can provide a good service it is not always flawless. On the last two occasions we have used them ( to transfer funds to the UK) they have failed to transfer on the due date to our account, which has caused us problems. They appear not to have any proper complaint handling protocols or procedures. Although they belatedly provided a partial apology on the last occasion they still sought to avoid taking any responsibility for their errors or the consequences of them.

A good company to use when things go right, but very poor when things go wrong.

I was naturally wary at first, but they have processed 2 transfers without a hitch and are now processing a third. What I like about them: They are a lot cheaper than the banks. Currently my bank charges £20 and gives a much worse exchange rate. Currency solutions also seems to be able to get the money into my foreign bank account within 24 hours whereas my regular bank can take four days.

Service is professional and fast and the documentation and web-based account they provide is simple and straight-forward. I'll keep on using them.

The hiring manager has worked there for 4 weeks, knows nothing about Trading.

Avoid like the plague

We contacted currency solutions to place a trade, but was constantly being pushed to trade at a lower rate. The senior trader then reversed a trade and just booked the coss into our account and deducted the money. No transparency of charges, we still ave nothing in writing about the trades. DO NOT TRADE WITH CURRENCY SOLUTIONS

I desperately needed to trace a transaction made in 2004 (age of quill pens) in order to prove legal entitlement. I knew this would be a very long shot but decided to try to contact [name removed] , who looked after us very well 9 years ago. Not only did he ring personally, he remembered what the deal was about and immediately grasped the importance to us. After only a day he managed to retrieve a priceless (to us) document, which is exactly what was required. I have doubts that any other company could be so efficient and friendly. You are allocated to a personal currency broker, with which you will deal for every transaction. Leigh Gillis, my currency broker has been very friendly and amicable. She kept me updated on how the market was going and has been very understanding with my doubts.

We have always received a very personal and efficient level of service. The monthly transfers are very easy to action and we will continue to use Currency Solutions for our currency exchange needs.

Very friendly , easy to use service. Good to have a real person on the other side of the trade. The team goes the extra mile to help you. I have been using the service for more that 5 years and I never had a problem.

Would be nice to add a personal logon showing list of outstanding trades , amounts , etc but this would be an add on that would even further improve the service.

As a newcomer to brokers and currency trades, things were made easy at the start. Although there have been a few occasional hiccups, they have always been dealt with speedily and most trades went through without a hitch. I feel I can make trades with confidence. Funds have always arrived in the right bank in the timescales agreed. Just make sure you are clear about the time taken for funds to clear etc., so you understand when things will arrive with your beneficiary.

I have been using Currency Solutions services for over 3 years. They have allowed me to buy Euros, Dollars, Polish Zloties and other currencies easily, with a good pricing.

They always indicate the spread which allows me to see that their margin is very competitive.

I am happy to recommend them and will continue to use them in the future.
