I Have Used Credit Safe For A While Now…

I have used credit safe for a while now, and our account manager is so kind and helpful, very patient and always ready to be on hand to assist. I have dyslexia and get very anxious so to have someone reassure you and take you along each step certainly is very valuable. I would certainly recommend her to anyone.

Creditsafe Need To Be Shut Down

I am a small business owner and was referred to Credisafe. I was told they would show your credit scores accurately and offer so many other benefits.  When I decided I didn’t want the service they billed me for an additional month and now refuse to cancel my services. Someone calls and want to argue with me about why I want to cancel my services. This company is TRASH.

Flexible Sales Team Paid Commission On Their Sales

Ive been with Creditsafe for a few years. It seems each year on renewal the annual fee is completely negotiable. Day 1 they start at thousands but you will end up at a few hundred pounds. They are a pressure based online sales company offering , sometimes, inaccurate data. They will pressure you and pressure you until you agree to re-sign. My company is not doing well due to COVID and I have told them so by email twice, once before the renewal date, but I keep getting emails regarding my renewal and today, believe it or not, an email telling me my accounts suspended. Great, that's what I am trying to do. They are like those companies you see on Watchdog and also fail to know the law about pressure selling. They seem to go through staff like there is no tomorrow, call one day and speak to one member of staff and a month later you have another "account manager".

Help!!! Creditsafe.

Hi, maybe anyone was in similar situation and can help me. Yesterday I just wanted to check credit score one of my suppliers, and found Creditsafe via Google. To view one off report I was asked to enter my details and that I will be granted one time username and password, which I thought will be sent to me by email. But just 5 min later I received phone call from one of their staff giving me username and password so I could do my search. Then that person started explaining about their services and asked me if I would be interested to sign up for £1800 a year so she can send me email with full description of services. So I said ok and thought that it feels quite expensive for me as I only do 1-2 searches a year. So after confirming my details we hung the phone, and few hours later I received order for £3600 2 year subscription followed by invoices, instead of expected product information packs. I replied to their email straight away stating following: "Hi [name], I am really sorry, but I think I misunderstood when talking to creditsafe on the phone. I thought I was going to be sent product package for me to review and decide if it’s something I need for my company, but instead I have received order confirmation. I gave it some thoughts and decided that my company is too small and not changing clients or suppliers to often, so I believe it will be to high price for us to pay and only use your service a few times a year. So please treat this email as cancellation of any subscription or agreement (if there is any)." And also I have sent similar email to their Helpdesk.

This morning I received call from them again saying that entered into agreement with them over the phone the I told them that I was interested in their services. I told her that in that case it was huge misrepresentation from their side, but if it happened I believe that I have a consumer right to cancel any service or product within period stated in T&C's. I have read their T&C's start to end, and found that there is nothing about cancellation or cooling off period at all, but I found that you entering the agreement by signing Agreement or by setting up your account and logging in. So I didn't do either. And when I told it to the person on the phone this morning, she just ignored it and said all she can do is reduce premium from £1800 to £1200 a year, but I refused and only asked to cancel whatever they set up for me without my written consent, so she ignored me again and said she can reduce premium to £400/year. I told her that all I want is confirmation that I don't have any subscription with them, on what she said she can't help me then. I believe that is ridiculous, and selling their service in such disgraceful persuasive way without giving you time to do some research on them.

I have contacted Citizen advise and business line, and reporting to actionfraud police department as well. So they advise me that my solicitor send them letter stating braking of misrepresentation act 1967 and do Subject Access Request and also use ADR scheme. But from what I see, I am now entering into long process where I have to spend my time and money, trying to fight something I never signed for. I am running small business all by myself which requires huge time investment where you actually sacrificing all your quality family time. And now this company is taking my time from me and it makes me so frustrated. Is there no any other simpler way or no low to protect us as consumers?

Product Is Useless And Customer Services Is Very Poor

They treated me very badly, first they made me an impression that they excellent product to cater my need, later found its no way neat that.

Asked me to sign a contract before I see the product and later instruct legal to chase the contract value for the money without using any of their service.

Had to pay all their invoice for nothing.

Credit Ratings Are Rubbish

While all other credit rate are credit very good credit and describe us as very low risk ,credit safe advise their users not to give any credit on our company.

When suppliers tell us they use credit safe I advise them to pay a bit more and go to a proper credit rating agency.

We have been in business for over forty years and feel that this is the worst product we have ever seen.

A Case Of Buyer Beware

As a cash only business I believe that we were really misold this product. The sales stratedgy was more than intense, to the point where not having the capacity to be down right rude I agreed to the whole thing just to escape the pressure of the sales mantra. We will obviously have to pay for the service for the year but over the months have not accessed it. Indeed I wouldn't know how as no instructions have landed on my desk despite several people phoning and my colleagues have had no use for this service either. This is obviously a company whose sales are driven by commission based or incentivised targets. My story involved the operator just needing the one sale for tickets to Disney land. What did surprise me on reflection is how or indeey why we were contacted when ALL our details are registered with the telephone preference service!! Maybe this dosent apply to Disneyland and the likes of Mickey and Miney. However on a more serious note I do feel the sales and direct selling approach was far to intense and overbearing, certainly not what I would want from my own staff. I did mention it to the company via email and indeed just received a call from their representitive who in all honesty was just interested in when the invoice would be settled. So for me its a lesson learnt and sadly I have come to the conclusion its probably just best to put down the receiver than try and do a polite 'no thank you'

Liars At Best

Having provided us with data which was inaccurate and useless, they agreed to refund the money we had given them in advance. Two months later and we are still waiting for the money. They have consistently lied to us, told us staff were not available to process the transaction and have done everything they can to avoid giving us our money back.

Their data is not very good, and their data sourcing system is unable to differentiate between sectors in the market so data available is not targetted.

I would suggest that you never do business with this company
