I had a terrible experience with Chase De Vere.

This company took over the financial advice and management for both myself and my wife, at the start generally after moving from Barclays the company were OK.

The issues started when myself and my wife separated, our adviser confirmed that he could continue to act for myself and my wife during the period of an important financial transaction.

At the 11th hour prior to the transaction taking place Chase De Vere advised it could no longer complete the transaction for both myself and my wife due to there being a conflict.

This caused us considerable distress.

Having then made a complaint (some 7 months later) Chase De Vere will still not accept that myself and my wife had been mis-advised, over the 7 months I have had to invest in considerable and lengthy communication with this firm, there response times to emails and letters generally have been very slow and has caused both myself and my wife even more distress.

Opposed to accepting the fact advice was provided on an important transaction by the adviser (when the companies policy was that this was a conflict) they will not accept responsibility.

As such I have now sent my complaint to the financial Ombudsman.

I requested contact from the Directors also on several occasions and even contacted 2 of them on Linked In however I got no response.

Not great service when you have a complaint against services provided by a business and the Directors do not respond when requested.

I am now in the process of moving my financial affairs to St James's Place

It seems Chase De Vere has a history of having to make compensation payments, just search "Chase De Vere Compensation" in Google.

In summary, my personal opinion is they talk the talk however if there is an issue or complaint the company are not interested and push you through there complaints department, when you requested to speak to company Directors they do not respond.
