Awful Insurance Company!! Do Not Use!

Awful experience - do not get insurance through ford insure!! I had an accident in May where another vehicle crashed into my car at standstill - purely their fault. Ford insure did not give me any advice regarding the matter, there were huge delays with repairing my vehicle and offering me a replacement vehicle (despite me calling every day). I ended up settling with the third party insurance and informing Ford Insure. 2 months after I've settled the claim, a claim advice team have now called saying they want to offer me a replacement vehicle and to fix my car, despite my car being placed as a 'write-off' by their own garage. They said they only received the claim by ford insure that day (July) . Ford Insure clearly don't know what they're doing as an insurance company.

Always have ford cars and ford insurance just changed our car to a brand new ford kuga rang insurance company for a quote on our new car absolutely extortionate got the same standard of insurance a lot lot cheaper elsewhere shop around folks our experience says loyalty counts for nothing with ford insure don't do it shop around

After been with ford car insurance for four years ,and when my renewal quote came it had gone up a fair amount so I decided to call them to see if they would match a quote I had earlier,however they could only reduce the premium a little but the speel came out you get ford replacement parts etc etc so I decided to go with ford insure,for another 12months what a big mistake,the operator I spoke to said a price I was happy to pay which was fine they sent the quote through the post dated the 17th August and on that quote was the usual please check these details and as you pay by direct debit YOUR COVER WILL BE RENEWED AUTOMATICALLY so thinking it was all set up no stress next thing I know I have a threatening letter saying we will proceed with legal action because PREMIUM CREDIT have been unable to collect my direct debit instalment not only that when I called ford insure they told me a diffrent quote that was £6 more expensive than was on the original quoteI don't exactly know what is going on but I have had nothing but hassle and had to call them four times so my message to anyone thinking of insuring your car with these novices think again,I am concerned if ever I have to ever claim what sort of service they are going to provide fingers crossed.

Absolute Rubbish

A lot of trouble with people not listening to what you tell them, them talking over you imagining they know what you are going to say. Things being 'filed'

Away where no one can find them such as proof of payment on headed notepaper with the policy number of the previous insurer.

No one returns emails or phone calls.

Absolute rubbish customer service. If there was an option of NO stars that would be a better option..

No wonder they were cheaper than our ( better) insurer, they obviously need the business.

Cancelled Policy- By Post To Wrong Address!!!

had to contact my insurer following an accident where my car was crashed into by another one whilst it was parked up outside my house. Person on the phone advised me that my policy had been cancelled the previous month as I had missed one months payment. When I asked why I had not been informed, they advised that had, however, they had sent the letter to my old address. I raised a complaint and asked them to check my previous calls as I had given them my new address, received a call back to be told there was no record of me notifying them of my new address. I am now left in a situation where my car has been written off but I am unable to obtain a hire car to get to work (I live 20 miles away and am a shift worker). When I contacted them again, I was left off hold whilst the agent proceeded to call me a liar to one of her colleagues and I heard the full conversation. Disgraceful company.

Called Up To Cancel My Policy After 10 Years With

Called up to cancel my policy after 10 years with these people. Had to use a premium rate phone number which took 10 mins to get pastiche advertising and 'handy hints'. In this day and age, a premium number! One through I was informed of a hefty cancellation fee! Surely after 10 years of loyalty and no claims, z cancellation fee should be obsolete?

I will never use this pathetic excuse for an insurer again. The staff member I spoke to was incredible forthright also, he must get angry calls all day. I could feel that he was wearing those over pointed shoes too!

Do not touch this insurance company, absolute nightmare. They were kept up to speed weekly with why my NCD proof could

Not be provided quickly, they noted this on the system every time but still cancelled my policy. They then notified me three weeks later (by post) that it had been cancelled. My wife was driving a car with no insurance for three weeks with three kids in the car. Inexcusable. The letter arrived dated three weeks prior and they genuinely wanted me to believe it had been lost in the post! We then lost our deposit, paid an admin fee and then paid another deposit for a new policy, which was more expensive. All went well till the end date approached. They had not taken payment so I called to ask why, I was told it was a ten month policy and with the initial deposit no payment was due. I then got another letter saying they had tried to call me, they hadn't, and that the policy would be cancelled again! The letter arrived 4 days before the end date of the policy so was not a back dated letter at least but still pointless. I then phoned them and was asked for a contact number as they didn't have one for me! They basically wrote to me threatening to cancel the policy so that I would contact them, they could then try and get me to renew! I'm not even sure if this heavy handed approach is within the guidelines to which these companies should

Excellent Service!

I have been with ford insure for 5 months since buying my new Ford Focus, I had never had to claim before but unfortunately a lorry hit the side of my car under 2 weeks ago. I called them up and explained once I got home and was on the phone no longer than ten minutes, they told me I need to do nothing more they will sort the rest. I had a phone call from my local ford the next day at 9am arranging to collect my car the very next day and to drop my courtesy car which was exactly the same as my car. The man was very friendly who came the next day asked me to sign a few things and we were done. Then my car was ready just over a week later, they have done a really good job with my car and even fixed a dent on the other side of my car. Ford insure even waived my 750 excess which I had to pay which I could then claim back as I wasn't at fault.

All in all I have had a very hassle free pleasant service by all involved and i would highly recommend!

Terrible Customer Service

Phoned up for a quote for my brand new ford fiesta, was given a quote of 281.70 - paid this amount over the phone and cancelled my existing insurance for my old car with Citroen incurring a canx fee of £47.00.

I then realised that I had given ford insurance the wrong amount of yearly no claims bonus so rang them back and they told me that the new insurance payable would now be 171.00 instead of 281.00 - I was delighted and was told that they would refund the difference. The next day I was contacted by ford insurance who then told me that there had been a mistake and the sales consultant had given me the wrong quote of 171 and it should really have been 241.00. The lady on the complaint dept at ford said that she had listened to the recording of the conversation and the sales consultant did quote 171 but when I complained that it was their error and that I had paid the canx fee with Citroen I was then informed that it was a " human error" therefore they could not honour the 171 but then told me that the consultant responsible was being sent for extra training !!!!

I would have thought that a large company like ford insurance would pride themselves on customer service and as a matter of goodwill at least honour the quote given.

I have gone back to Citroen who are marvellous and I will be writing a very nasty letter to ford insurance and would not recommend them to anyone.

I have had a similar experience with this company . I left the Post Office Insurance on the basis that I had been told by one of Ford Insure staff that I would get a £50 cash back if I took their policy . This would have been a saving. The cash back never arrived .

Expensive. Failed to honor promise . No stars for them!!!
