Milestone R A Millstone Round Your Neck! And Will Drown You

I have had several recent experiences with Milestone, ALL DREADFUL. They prioritise money and payment way above customer care. Their communications via e mail and telephone are unclear and their terms and conditions regarding payments of any type are really vague, until you try to end your contract with them and are landed with a HUGE bill, previously hidden from your knowledge. They claim to have sent a new business letter, but never do so, so that you cannot cancel at the correct time and get your money back. To recap, they are greedy, money grabbing, non - customer orientated. To anyone trying to get an insurance from this broker, BEWARE, DO NOT, they are sharks and will eat you and your finances quicker than you can blink. What a shame they are continuing to work in it's way when so many people are experiencing hardship. DO NOT USE THEM. I certainly never will and I will ensure taxi drivers, friends and family all avoid too.

Refund Took Time

Cancelled insurance after a day and been refunded half of what I've paid. Sad thing is it took 4 weeks before I received my refund and been promised that they have sorted it out, aren't they thinking that I have financial obligations too and was pleading them to release my refund. What's annoying with these insurance company is that they don't want you to be late on paying them, but look at what they are doing with the money they owe in terms of refund to customers... Don't deal with this company, anyone who's thinking about it, don't you ever try dealing with them, AVOID THEM!

When Professional Is Needed

As a company we have used Milestone Insurance for many years. Within this period we have found them to be both helpful and courteous each year when renewals take place. Requesting documents to be copied and distributed to a number of people has never been an issue and always completed within the stated timeframe.

Recently we were faced with certain problems relating to vehicle insurance which required both communication with third parties and what can only be described as imaginative lateral thought processes.

I have the greatest respect for a member of the Milestone team, who applied all the above qualities and resolved the issue with speed and professionalism, making her in my view one their greatest assets.

The young lady in question, after this mini crisis, proved that the extra mile defines this company as one i would recommend.

Unprofessional Incompitant

Don't touch milestone with a barge pole I wanted to insure my new taxi a Mercedes M8 vito I lost 2 days wages as a result of utter incompetence I gave the spec of my new taxi and TWICE the sales guy got it wrong and he cost me 2 days wages I had no option but to cancel the policy and despite his promise of no cancellation charges my card was debited by £270 through no fault of my own I found this company totally incompetent also breaching data protection in sending me emails of other people's names and addresses and registration documents when I complained I was abruptly told mistakes happen it's down to human errors DO NOT GO NEAR THIS COMPANY PS THE LEEDS BRANCH

Avoidmilestone

Paid in full, cancelled 2 months later because for some silly reason they don't insure 9 seaters to which i upgraded. Got an email confirming cost of £500+ for 2months and cancelation. 2 days later letter through post that cost went up to £599. 40 days later still no refund. Avoid! Cheap to start with but rippoff on the way...

Rang Milestone After Searching The Internet For Ch

Rang milestone after searching the internet for cheap taxi insurance.They were very quick to set up the policy ,price seemed good too although never heard of the gefion insurance company which I was told is some Welsh company with good reviews. I told the insurance brokers that I had 11 years taxi experience but for the past 5 years I had been driving a company car hence had no taxi NCB. I disclosed all information which I was asked.Paid my huge deposit in full sent all documents they requested.3 weeks later I get a letter asking for a letter from my previous employers confirming that I have been working for them.I told them I've left and now work for Uber If I don't get the letter my policy would be cancelled I was absolutely furious why this wasn't requested earlier.I said to prove that I've been working as a taxi driver I could send old taxi badges was told ok send them in gefion might accept them

But No now they need a letter from the council and a letter from ex employers with policy details and proof that no claims were made during the past 2 years.

I would definately not recommend milestone insurance.They are after setting the policy and getting the deposit think Yes you're trapped now we can bully you into paying additional charges.

Very bad company AVOID!!!

Proof Of Taxi No Claims Being Witheld

Having fell on hard times due to my Taxi needing a lot of repairs and ending up unemployed I called Milestone insurance to help me out by freezing my account till I got back on my feet, they were no help at all and spoke to me like I was a piece of dirt and threatened to withhold my 9 years proof of no claims bonus which I have built-up over the years with other companies until I paid them cancellation fee which don't have due to not working. I explained I needed my no claims but they refuse to help. It is wrong that they can bully us this way. If I was you I wouldn't go near them, use your money with a decent company. Beware of these nasty folk.
