I resorted to searching the internet for a secured loan after my bank refused to lend to me (even though I banked with them for 20+ years).

I found Smart Secured Loans on the first page of Google and filled out their application form on their website.

A guy phoned me about 10 minutes later and whambam he gets me a loan for £15K.

All very well you may assume, but in hindsight, I think the APR I eventually got of almost 15% was a bit much, and now I wished I'd taken a bit

more time to look around for a better deal.

Ok, my credit history aint exactly perfect, which is why I'm told the interest is higher, but if anyone fancies doing a bit more of the donkey work themselves, I'm sure you could find better deals.

Moral of the story ? - Don't jump in too quick, and approach as many lenders as you can before signing away your life !
