Have been a big fan of cityindex for some time now; they are always professional and the platform is great. You know, when you go online and read so many negative reviews about financial spread betting brokers it makes you wonder and cautious but with cityindex I didn't have a single problem and I've been with them for over 5 years. A good spread betting company.

I was apprehensive when starting out but the educational tools and customers services were extremely helpful. I won’t be leaving in a hurry.

Before signing up they said I could trade via telephone and once I joined the management decided I could not trade via telephone because they think I call too much - how unprofessional of them not to consider my disability. Anyone that invests money is bound to make frequent calls to secure their investment and I was no exception. Disappointed with the management for making this decision. Will never trade with such companies again that do not show any consideration towards those that are unable to trade online.

Do not use fine most of the time until you get into big trades the application starts freezing refusing to let you close trades in profit or loss. I lost 8k because i couldnt cut my loses on numerous occassions, when i complained they blamed the browser setting or network settings. Check the reviews thsi is a common problem and i suspect a purpose one determined to eat you capital. DO NOT USE 

Appalling customer service that they could not care less about their customers. To be avoided at all costs.

Customer service very poor, never ring back as promised. Cant seem to resolve simplest issues. At times when the markets are moving fast, the platform get stuck too often and you are left helpless, often unable to close positions or open new ones!

Vey poor service overall! stay away!

Not really sure what to write here as I think the title says it all. Unless you're too desperate to trade with them, you should avoid them.

The customer relations department make it incredibly difficult to withdraw funds and close your account. My bank card was cancelled due to a fraud, the cityindex team informed me that i had to use the card that the payment was made with to withdraw funds, when i informed them this no longer existed they asked me to prove my account, sort code etc which i did, despite having the relevant information they still did not action payment. I have now referred the case to the FCA to investigate.

Totally agree.trading cfd with CityINDEX and way too often can't close when in profit but my stop losses trigger right away,never fails. Don't know why am I still with them...had complained hundred of times,got my losses covered once by customer service but that was it. Worst customer care, and most importantly I'm losing money on one in every 8 trades, £10-30 each time but it all add up. Hope gain capital change this but I think it's me that have to change providers. Really annoys me when they pride themselfs in adverts to win categories in awards,surely is not the customers that awarded them.

The worst on the market to use , keep away, on 100 trade tickets on long position 97% went down in price. it obvious they run against people like me and you.

I had an open position for almost 3 month, I then closed, as soon I closed, the price went up, I then bought again after a few minutes, and then the price when right down again. So I sold, when I sold again it went right up.

 Keep away, they will rob you .
