Worst interaction and customer care I have ever experienced. I am a new landlord and decided to rent my property out. After a week or so I was told a couple and 1 family member had offered on my property. I was told they were 2 professionals tenants and the third tenant wouldn’t be referenced as she was pregnant and not working. I wanted professional tenants only but the estate agents were well aware I was pregnant myself and I feel they have made up a story based on my circumstances to play on my emotions and heart strings! I accepted the tenants based on the information I was presented. I later found out by the tenants themselves that they had no children and had never been pregnant, this was completely made up. The story I was told was completely fabricated by the estate agent, they took advantage of me. A few months after the tenants had moved into the property I discovered from my neighbour that 6 people were living in the property and not the initial 3 that I was told. I spent over 20k refurbing my property and it’s very disheartening to know that the people that are renting it out are not the only persons living in it. I booked in an inspection with the tenants directly and I was shocked to see several mattresses in the living room and next to the beds in both bedrooms! There was also a piece of paper sellotaped to my recently new and painted bathroom door which read, rules of the bathroom. It was clear more than 3 persons were living at the property. My neighbours have provided my with cctv from their ring door bell and I’m shocked. The estate agents manage my property however the tenants text and call me when issuesarise sooo what exactly is the management fee that I’m paying for? I have made many complaints to the owners of the estate agents, countrywide however these complaints have landed on deaf ears! I have made a complaint about the above because it has and is causing me so much stress… Countrywide who own Bairstow Eves have responded to my complaint saying that the references was a misunderstanding on the estate agents part and apologising… No resolution offered! It wasn’t a misunderstanding, I questioned the referencing multiple times and each time I was assured. The referencing process is very strict with any estate agent so simply saying it was a misunderstanding is a lie! With regards to the extra persons living in my property, Bairstow Eves have said this wasn’t the case at the start of the tenancy. Despite them managing my property, they haven’t offered a resolution or told me what they are going to do to make things right! I have emailed them today informing them the tenants are in breach of their contact and the estate agents are not acting within my best interest! The customer service is awful at this estate agents and they continuously lie anyway they can to agree a deal! They do not take accountability for their mistakes and also have an excuse. There owners countrywide have not been helpful either. I’m currently obtaining legal advice and progressing this!! If you’re looking for an honest estate agent, I would urge you to read my review first!

Oh, where do I even begin with this 'glorious' letting agency? If you're looking for a masterclass in ignoring customers, avoiding responsibility, and achieving absolutely nothing, then look no further! These guys are true professionals—professionals at not responding to emails, never answering phone calls, and generally doing less than the bare minimum. In fact, I think they’ve elevated “doing nothing” to an art form.

Need something fixed? Good luck with that! Expecting a response to your tenth email or phone call? How adorable of you to think that would happen. They’ll take your money with the kind of enthusiasm you wish they showed for literally anything else, then proceed to vanish like Houdini.

Recommending this agency? Only if you enjoy watching a slow-motion disaster unfold in real-time. If “complete incompetence” is your vibe, then these guys are your perfect match. Stay away, unless you want the full experience of banging your head against a wall while screaming into the void. Absolute shambles. Truly, even 1 star is too much for what they present and 'deliver'! Absolute joke! Stay away from Wanstead branch and Leytonstone. Even people from complaint team or as they call it 'customer care' team , don't get the grip what they are for.

**AS A LOCAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE I SUGGEST YOU DO NOT TOUCH OR GO NEAR THIS COMPANY** WALSALL BRANCH NEVER ANSWER PHONE, BREAKING THE LAW AND RAN BY A BUNCH OF INCOMPETENT TEENAGERS WHO SLAMMED THE DOOR IN MY MOTHERS FACE AFTER HAVING FAMILY ARRIVE AT THE PROPERTY TO THEN NOT MOVE MY SISTER IN. Not sure if the better reviews these guys are getting are mainly for the sales department but the lettings department leaves a lot to be desired! Ran by a bunch of teenagers who left my sister hanging for weeks whilst also being in breach of the tenant fees act. When my sister pulled out (rightly so given how she was spoken to and what legislation was breached!) they tried to hold onto her holding deposit. They also left her standing in the property she was meant to be moving into with 2 other family members present who had also filled their cars up to help with move in day and then said she couldn’t move in as they hadn’t sorted the landlords signature on the tenancy agreement. Horrendous and so in breach of the law. Never answer their office phone which is hilarious considering it’s the only way to book a viewing when wanting to rent. Left a voicemail letting them know I work for the local government and know the tenant fees act like the back of my hand. I also stated what legislation they were in breach of. I told my sister not to continue with the rental as the company and their approach was not one of professionalism. Second I’ve left a voicemail stating this my sisters holding deposit miraculously goes back into her bank account. One thing I will say is at least they saw sense and didn’t end up in court over their illegal breaches! Happy to receive your generic response to this review Bairstow Eves. You are well aware of what scenario I am referring to in your letting history. I am not interested in ever liaising with such a company going forward who are meant to be professional and law abiding in nature. Not had one update on ou.r sale had to progress it myself no replies to 3 emails and one voice message other agent in chain have been in touch, the branch staff were very good but since lockdown it has been very stressful as we are elderly and went with them to save us the stress if we had wanted to do it ourselves could have saved money with on line agent very let down and dissapointed

I was desperate to find somewhere to rent that would accept pets.

Walsall Branch contacted me and told me they had just what I was looking for.

was able to view house very quickly and was very pleased with the way the negotiator

dealt with me.

I am yet to move in and hope the way I have been treated continues.

There are a couple of little problems with the property that I am assured will be sorted prior to the move.
