We employed John & Amanda Treagust as letting agents,we met them and reguarly exchanged emails with them over aperiod of 7 months.

It appears we were mislead, rents charged were higher than we were led to believe, repairs were not carried out and we were overcharged for any additional services or facilities provided by them. We are currently owed rent and deposits collected on our behalf from tenants. We have had to arrange cleaning of the property ourselves and have had the locks changed on the property for security purposes.Is this a familiar pattern of J&A Treagust business operations in Spain,if so,any information related to their current whereabouts, activities, contact details and any persons pursuing them legally to recover monies would be welcome

this couple have now moved and do live in valencia and he has set up a travel agency there so please inform whom you need to and believe me i know he lives there as i have seen him ok

Abritel are part of the HomeAway Holiday Rental Group. John and Amanda Treagust of Costablancalive advertised my property on the HomeAway group websites for rental as well as the Costablanca site without my permission. I contacted the HomeAway legal department and asked them to remove my property from their site, my solicitor contacted John and Amanda Treagust and informed them that they were breaking the law and threatened legal action. My property was subsequently removed from the Costablancalive and HomeAway Holiday Rental sites.

If you plan to book a holiday rental on any of the HomeAway group websites, i would suggest that you first check whether either John or Amanda Treagust are the agents as they owe myself and many others substantial amounts of monies in connection with holiday rentals

I also have been scammed of thousands in rental income for trusting them with my property and not receiving a penny do not!!!use this couple who are setting up companies and sites like flys to the honey so to speak I can recommended a new local lady dream cleanz Los Dolses now I can rest as for John & Amanda I'll see you in court..

Do not book with costablancalive.com or .eu [name removed] is a con man and a swindler, he does not pay his staff or the owners of the properties he lets, he even had properties on his books that were purely up for sale and he used them as holiday rentals for his own gain.

He is now living in the Mojacar area in Almeria, anyone with a letting or estate agency in this area be warned. he was forced to close his other website villasbyphone.com when people that were owed money found out it belonged to him,there are people in the Torrevieja area that are owed thousands of euros by this pair of cheats. He is still advertising on holiday rentals website http://www.holiday-rentals.co.uk/p489504 is one of his properties, I wonder if the owners are aware. still waiting for my deposit since 07/10 i thought i was the only one but i should have guessed when john emailed me saying problems with villa will have to move you .i email him every day with usually no responce .can nothing be done about this blaytant thief.dont get me wrong the villa was nice but in the toatally wrong location .and also terry the taxi driver was a top man 10 times more than john treugust .im glad to say i have fond memorys of my family holiday but all our doing and not costablancalive.co.uk .yes we organised the holiday but you look at the face of the company and say ok that looks good ,please dont be sucked in

I have commenced legal action against John and Amanda Treagust for non payment of rent and the retention of the keys to my villa. When information gathering I found that John had advertised my property on other sites than Costblancalive without my permission. These sites include Villasbyphone which looks as if it is now closed and HomeAway Holiday-Renatals. With the latter I have had my property removed and Customer Support mentioned that if I know of anyone else in a similar position to contact them and they will remove thier property from thier site. For persons thinking of booking a holiday with John and Amanda BEWARE as they were continuing to accept bookings for my property knowing that the property was no longer available and that the committment could not be fulfilled

Beaware of using the services of John and Amanda Treagust,trading under the name of Costablancalive. I am owed approxiamately e4000 in addition they have left my villa in a disgusting state and have not returned the keys although having been asked on numerous occasions.

I have commenced legal proceedings to recover the monies owed to me and would suggest that some/all of the numerous people owed money by these people take similar action.
