I would strongly advise anyone considering Premier Property Lawyers (PPL) for conveyancing to think twice. ​They rebranded recently from MyHomeMove.

Our experience with them was a nightmare from start to finish. We instructed PPL in April 2023 to handle our Right to Buy purchase, reassured by their claims of expertise in such cases. After 18 months of wasted time and mounting frustration, PPL ultimately withdrew from our case, leaving us with nothing but disappointment and significant losses.

Throughout the entire process, PPL consistently failed to take any meaningful ownership or initiative. Their approach to communication was abysmal; every message was a generic copy-and-paste, leaving us to decipher what they meant and to figure out our next steps on our own. There was no clear guidance, no proactive support, and certainly no evidence of the "expertise" they advertised. Any questions we raised were either ignored or met with vague responses that provided no real answers or solutions.

Our concerns and complaints went unheard, with each issue seemingly swept under the rug. Incompetence is an understatement when describing how they handled even the simplest aspects of our case. They dragged their feet for months, neglecting critical points of negotiation with ​the ​seller as well as the lenders and allowing deadlines to pass with no ​outcome. This repeated lack of professionalism led to two lenders withdrawing from the case due to PPL's ​incompetence and inability to competently address the transaction's terms.

As if that weren't enough, they falsely advised us to secure building insurance under the impression that completion was imminent, leaving us out of pocket by several hundred pounds. In the end, PPL pulled out of the case entirely, claiming that they were not equipped to handle ​our Right to Buy purchase—a fact they ​were adamant about having the relevant expertise from the outset and only revealed after 18 months of supposed "work."

The level of anxiety, frustration, and financial loss we've experienced due to Premier Property Lawyers is immeasurable. Their negligence and lack of accountability have been infuriating. Choosing PPL was the worst decision we could have made for our Right to Buy conveyancing. The few hundred pounds we thought we’d save by going with them were absolutely not worth it. I genuinely wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. Premier Property Lawyers is, without exaggeration, the conveyancing company from hell. Save yourself the time, stress, and money—go elsewhere.

As you know can’t fulfil the job required I am without deeds and you won’t act for me any more. No experience in the industry and won’t just get the job done. I have evidence you’ve ruined my life currently

We have been in our home over 3 years and we are still not registered as the owners with the land registry. Despite trying to sort this out I just get ignored by this company. Absolutely terrible company and I would advise people to give this company a very wide berth.

Finally Done - 13 months later

Observations:

They lost important paper work 3x - even though I paid for tracked delivery.

Was charged over £600 more than initial quotes received

Nearly lost the property since my case wasn't a priority

Now being asked to pay an extra £180 as they made a mistake on my last invoice and refused to accept a payment plan.

Use this company at your own peril !!!!!

They are simply Awful.

They will cause you delays.

They will ignore you.

They will make mistakes.

They will ask you for things you already sent.

They will delay your purchase.

They will delay your sale.

They will cause you nothing but stress.

They Don't communicate.

They don't call back.

They don't acknowledge you.

Don't trust their trust pilot "reviews"

I am absolutely shocked that this company has any good ratings. I have used them twice (god knows why as they were useless the first time!) and they are absolutely atrocious to deal with. They took far too much money from me when I paid my fees, then it took me 3 months of constantly calling, emailing, time and effort to get my money back. Even when it finally landed in my account, it still wasn't the correct value. They promise to call you back and never do even when you specifically say you are logging a complaint. Even when I had told them I had logged a complaint with Legal Ombudsman, they still didn't call me back or give me my money back for a further 3 weeks. They have provided the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. They don't take your calls or complaints seriously. Save yourself an extortionate amount of stress and use another company!!

I just felt I had to write a review about premier property lawyers who dealt with the sale of our property,Agents were professional yet friendly in their approach,they were so helpful and supported us through the sale,nothing was too much trouble,I would highly recommend premier property lawyers who employ excellent staff, thankyou both agents ,we do appreciate the work you did for us

Unprofessional, unreliable unethical and non committal

To quote comic actor Terry Thomas "what an absolute shower". If the world does not give you enough grief already then just sign up with Premier Property Lawyers for a conveyance and you will be swamped with sleepless nights and misery.

It is not all bad though because I am rapidly heading towards an entry in the Guinness Book of Records for the worlds longest conveyance. Unfortunately this entry will have cost me thousands as a result of their incompetence, lethargy and endless prevarication.

I am with PPL as a result of Purplebricks demand that I must use them. I would have liked to know prior to agreeing to accept their representation that the estate agent makes this demand based on high introduction rates of commission rather than ability.

From my experience I doubt any review that gives more than one star and wonder how PPL is allowed to continue to trade when it is such a disgrace to the profession.

You have been warned so steer clear!!!

Would definitely recommend these conveyance lawyers, very thorough and professional, any queries were answered promptly. Very easy to navigate the E-Way portal.
