I was very skeptical about the value of paying for someone to move us (first time buyer naiveté I now realise!) but having seen the amazing job these guys did they earned every penny.

The owner came round in person to quote and even though Porters were a touch more expensive than another we received, the confidence he instilled and just his general attitude made me want to go with Porters.

Martin and Terry arrived on time and bright and chirpy on packing day- it's a very personal thing having your house boxed up but I had no qualms about the pair working unsupervised. They worked in a methodical and courteous way taking instruction where needed but also using their initiative to prompt us novices on certain items. Needless to say when the pair came back for the 'big move' on day 2 I was thrilled to have them back.

Everything was packed perfectly and not one single breakage despite them moving an entire cabinet of our wedding glass and china.

The ultimate feat of brilliance was the boys lifting our daughter's wooden playhouse OVER a full height garden fence- these boys must eat their spinach!!!

I honestly cannot fault them from start to finish the experience has been wonderful- thank you Porters!!

Recently used Porters of Woking for a house move and could not fault the service and also a very competitive price compared to the other quotes received. An excellent team turned up on time, worked carefully and efficiently to execute a smooth move with no damages. We have used a number of removal companies in the past for international, national and local moves and have to say Porters provided the best removals experience to date. We will likely use Porters of Woking again.

Very casual bunch offering completely unprofessional service. Broke many items and then advised the insurance we took out with them didn't cover, which of course means they took money for insurance from us and didn't actually have any or chose not to use it. When I spoke to the head guy he became extremely abusive and he ended the call. I've never experienced anything like them. They did not pack items correctly and broke 2 lamps and damaged my speakers. 

Very polite and cheerful team. Managed to do what others failed to do. Got a very large bed up to first floor of a townhouse. Worked very quickly and efficiently and tidied up as they went. Highly recommend them. Thank you!

Porters seemed like a good option as the guy who came to give the quote was so nice. They arrived on time and were friendly enough.

However, after they had gone we discovered that they had left black ink on our sofa, our matress, our filing cabinet and our guest bed. We know which guy it was as he actually asked us if he could wash his hands as he had black ink all over them! We also found items that they had dumped into a box with no protection and so were completely broken and had to be thrown away.

We called twice to complain about the ink and were told both times that someone would call us back but no one ever did. Would definitely not use again.

They do not worry about the new neighbours. When the previous occupants moved out Cooks of Cranleigh parked in the road and carried everything out as the driveway entrance was very tight. However in moving the new people in Porters of Woking were only interested in the speed they could unload and reversed in breaking two large over 6 foot branches from our verge tree and didn't even apologise and were rude when I phoned them up to complain. Not very impressive.
