Immature, Waste Of Time
The owner of this company has the emotional intelligence of a child. Don’t waste your time, as when things go wrong, as I’ve experienced, Ling turns angry, vengeful and rude.
They are so below par of the standards you’d expect a company to uphold when you’re committing to a long term partnership.
Don’t run the risk. I was lucky to see early in and am thanksful I got out early.

It was terrible weather, pouring with rain and the salesman not only came out and opened the car we wanted to look at but held an umbrella over us till we got into the car for our test-drive.He was very helpful and gave us time to decide if we wanted to buy the car.

Easy, Simple And Thorough
I've read some of the reviews here about LingsCars and the Lingo messaging system. We recently leased our first car and after searching and searching we came to find Lingscars. As crazy as the website is, they had the best deals available. We started the process with Ling and everything was clearly outlined from the outset. We received a quote which we needed to agree to and then we made an order which we needed to agree to (all the fees and charges were clear and up front). These quotes and orders outlined everything we needed to know.
All the organisation and arrangements with dealers is handled by Ling also an added bonus.
Thoroughly competent and decent experience, would recommend and use again.

Leased A Van From Lingscars.com In November 2013,
leased a van from lingscars.com in November 2013, all went well and was happy with everything. Then in June 2015 I get an invoice which says we think you may owe us £180..... Bit odd it took so long and they think I may owe them, but I sent them a cheque as I know there is a admin charge with leases, (ive had around 40 in the past), then in July 2015 I get a solicitor letter saying I owe £180, so I call them and explain about the cheque and they say its never arrived, so I say I will pay by card, but THEY DONT TAKE CARDS!! This should ring alarm bells, anyway I pay them by bank transfer (which is a pain as I need to find the little machine to setup a new payee) anyway, the next day I get a court summons for the £180, so I call back up to be told quite rudely that I need to pay £90 in court costs! I explain that the invoice was from nov 13 and the first letter I had was in June 15 but they say they have messaged Lingo which is some internal messaging system on their site.
Not impressed one bit, the website looked like some sort of rip off merchants and they have not disappointed!
Ironically I am just looking to lease another 2 cars for the company and have actually been looking on their site pricing things up, but after this I will be going elsewhere!
TIP for Ling - If your customer owes you money - Email Them or call them, dont send message to your own website and expect them to reply!!!
Oh hum, note that you logged into my LINGO system 46 times in total. Also, every LINGO message from me generates an email to you. You also had the "plain text" option ticked, plain text messages of my LINGO messages copied to every email sent to you by my system.
I am sorry you feel disgruntled. I am sorry you chose to express that by posting to this review site. All you have done is show "the whole world" that I chased the unpaid payment, and that it was paid eventually.
However, the issue was simply an unpaid payment which generated court fees after (over) 1 1/2 years. That has now been cleared, so as I say... thanks for that.
Ling, LINGsCARS.com
Ling you still dont get it! We have agreed a contract for £18000 with you for a lease, the amount that was not paid is for £180, this is the only amount that you chased via your Lingo site, the other £17820 was paid via normal methods of bills being posted and emailed and paid by direct debit and has been paid perfectly on time with no issues.
Paying you had nothing to do with you posting a childish unprofessional comment on a review site, I have much better things to do with my time than go to court over £91! we turnover in excess of £1 million pounds, arguing over £91 even though I feel we dont deserve to pay it is not a good business choice, much like your attacks on me from the beginning.
Had you just said at the start im sorry you didnt log in and read the reminders I sent via Lingo its an error on our part, I would still have paid the £180 I owed straight away, and would still be a happy customer, but instead im not and you have now shown the whole world just how tin pot your operation is, so not a great outcome!
Ive decided though as you keep replying and it entertains you so much im going to post more reviews on the many more sites out there, lets tell the whole world about how I dont pay bills I dont receive!
The funny part is I get the feeling you have this problem quite a lot and really if you just sent people an invoice in the post and then phoned them and took cards over the phone I think you would eliminate a whole load of hassle
Update, this customer just paid the outstanding £91 court fees just after I posted the above comment saying they were still outstanding. I feel I should give them credit for doing that. So, ...thanks.
Hopefully, instead of anonymously going on and on by giving me bad reviews (entertaining though it is for all reading this) they will now close the matter.
Please note that I am only a biyatch to people don't pay their bills. Normally I'm very nice :)

QUOTE: "we pay our bills on time".
Errr, hello??? The bill was paid 1 & 1/2 years late. Court fees still outstanding.
Thanks.
Ling, LINGsCARS.
Thanks for your comments Ling, we are honest business people, we pay our bills on time and we dont have a string of dissolved companies behind us.
I think your replies above and the one to the other person who gave you a bit of negative feedback give any potential customer a much better understanding of your business ethics than anything I can write. If anyones ringing alarm bells its YOU!

Great Service.
Just ordered my second car from lings, great service and everythings handled well. I cant fault them, communication via E Mail is easy, and they answer any questions promptly. I ordered a car from them that was not advertised on their site. I requested a bespoke quote and they replied the next morning.

Painfull
Really attracted by the prices but that website! Jeez, drives me bonkers looking at it. Just need to speak to someone there but they only deal via email. It was a fun idea a few years ago but needs to mature a bit now. As for me I'll be paying a few quid more per week but speaking to a human with a normal website.
Silly comment... I do have telephones. They work. I answer my phones. However, the whole administration the process getting a new car from me, is fully transcribed (ie done in writing) on my LINGO system (not by email). My responses are typically within 5 minutes during working time, and my customers say it's the best system they have ever used, as they have a full record of what is said. It's fully secure and allows all documents to be uploaded and viewed securely. If you buy a new car using only the phone, you get told all sorts of rubbish by car salesmen and it's "he said, she said" nonsense, and you are lucky if you get a call-back. A car is a big thing, you can't just get one verbally. Things have to be written down. This review is from someone who *didn't have* a car from me, didn't even get past the enquiry stage (so is hardly a customer review, it's a non-customer review ... nonsense). They will have been put off because (heaven forbid) I will have requested basic info from them in writing. My website and service and prices are best in the UK. Sometimes a dose of common sense is necessary, as I have over £5 million of new cars on order and can't juggle that many new cars and cash, simply using the phone. - Ling

We Lease Lots
We've leased loads if cars from Ling over the past 12 years for our business and will continue to do so. Fantastic service, fun and engagement. We never go near a car showroom. Why would we, when we have a car supermarket on line with responses in minutes! Behind the jokey personna a fabulously well-run business. Recommend without hesitation.
Well, I am real, my website is real, my new cars are real, my prices are real. Whoever this customer is, thanks so much for the comments. Glad to be known for the best service in the UK car industry. - Ling

Good Price, Good Service And - Fun
I've looked at LIng's cars a few times when researching a new car, but always stuck with PCP from a local dealer - until now. I wasn't happy with the cost to change my Mazda that my dealer quoted so worked out the total cost of ownership and compared it with other options. Ling's cars was nearly £3000 cheaper over 3 years so I took the plunge.
It was great. The proposal form was easy to complete and I was kept fully informed at all times with good communication from Ling's team and also from the supplying dealer and my new car was delivered on the date I requested (with first registration the day before, so the tax disc followed a few days later from the dealer).
I also enjoyed the jokes along the way.
Interestingly, Ling keeps the personal ordering website 'live' during the lease period so there's always a record of the transaction, correspondence and (optionally) mileage.
A first class experience so far!
Thanks so much for the comments. Yes, I keep everything "live" forever, so you can always go back and check what has been said. Everything is kept in writing. This is because lying is endemic in the UK car industry, it's a qualification you need to be a car salesman, I think. I do my best to save people money but i an Chinese, not Catholic: I can't do miracles... but in this case I saved the customer £thousands. Happy. - Ling
