Waste Of Time
I placed an order. It took 5 weeks of messing about for them to send me paperwork. I returned It the same day they sent it me. There was 4 weeks more waiting then an email about a delay. 3 weeks later and 4 ignored emails I cancelled my,order.

Once They Take Your Money They Become Completley U
Once they take your money they become completley unresponsive! Awful service. I've been waiting since February for an in stock car. Pre corona they disappeared once their £200 cleared. Also they took their phones off the hook!! There is absolutely no excuse for their behaviour. I cannot believe that this has happened and I found that they are reporting negative reviews on trust pilot. I have already spoken to the bank about clawing back my money as it is now June and no one will answer emails or call me back. Disgusting. Please think twice before using this company. I'm now £200 down with a finance agreement arranged and signed, yet I have no car.
I feel sorry for all the people I have spoken to who went ahead and purchased insurance (which they tell you they have to do) knowing your car won't be coming!
Be Careful What You Sign For! Poor Response Times!
The lease process went smoothly. All went well until I got a slow puncture. This is when I realised that I had not been supplied with the wheel nut key or the inflation pump for the tyre.
With further investigation it came to light that the list I signed to say what was with the vehicle was a generic list. It does not include everything supplied with the vehicle, or items that are not with the vehicle! It just states everything on the list is there!!! It can also take up to two weeks to get a response from the complaints e-mail address which again is very poor customer service.
As the list supplied with the car is not really relevant then how is any person leasing a car to know if it should have a wheel nut key when the nuts themselves have covers on them which I needed a pair of pliers to get off!!!
They have walked away and left me with no key and for me to sort the issue!!!
Be warned, when you get your vehicle be very careful of the generic list. It stated I have a spare wheel and car jack when this is not supplied and they openly admit this now, but are happy to try and use he generic list in some form of defence.
A packing list should state what is supplied, not what may or may not be supplied, and also miss off some items!

Avoid Like A Bad Smell
Stay away from the cheats !!! Vehicle leased for 3.5 years, returned in excellent condition but charged more than £700 for some unconfirmed damages (we do not know what it was for...). To make things more difficult we got a Parking Charge Notice for £100 a day after our car was collected by Arval UK... The person who collected the vehicle must have parked it wrong and the bill has been sent to us !!! The customer service very rude and not helpful. The person I spoke to refused to give her name. Avoid this leasing company if you would like to stay trouble-free.

Not Again
In response to a previous question, no, I would not use again, had a 'new' Fiesta 2 years ago that turned up with scratched alloy, dent and scratch on bonnet and took ages to get it repaired, had to go the to 'top man' to get it resolved, never again, had a 3 year deal and can't wait until Nov next year when I can give it back, never again!
Can I ask what the process was like sending it back?

Do Not Use This Company
Nationwide didn't pay my cash back incentive as promised when I questioned this it took the customer service manager 5 wk days to pay this she was unapologetic for the mistake and quite frankly rude. they do not take your complaint seriously. They also put my application through as a sole application after requesting multiple times throughout that I wanted it as a joint lease plan again the customer service was poor no apology made and no effort to resolve this matter so far.

Poor Customer Service
Be very wary of what you agree with this company. Despite being an existing customer, and being approached by them with respect to a replacement, they have failed to provide a vehicle in time. This is despite the original date being moved back by a month to match the end of the current lease. The worst thing is that the notification arrived the day after scheduled delivery to the dealer. Customer service is also terrible. It took 3 calls plus escalation before I got any useful response on the issue. The assumption seems to be that it will be too difficult for you to go anywhere else.

Take Your Money, But Will Not Refund Or Get You A Car
Ordered a car, paid the admin fee of £200, on day of delivery at 2.30pm got told it had been cancelled, with no further date. Now I can't get a refund. I've been calling every day and getting fobbed off and have sent numerous emails to customer service the sales rep and their complaints department to which I have had no response. I do not understand how they can cancel a vehicle and not refund what I have paid. I have stuck to my end of the contract, but they have not. I've paid admin costs to change my insurance over to this fictitious vehicle and now have no means if transport. Please use any other company but this one. I've had lease cars for 10 years and have never experienced anything like this. They will take your money and run. And you cannot do anything about it. Avoid!!!! A total joke.

Worst Customer Service And Sales Team
Spent a lot of time choosing a car. Completed online order form Friday. Rung back by Sales Advisor and went through multiple aspects of the order/lease. Told that order would be held until after the weekend and to call back. Called back Monday to speak to the same Sales Advisor as told to do. The car had gone up by £50pm! Sales did not give me the heads up on the Friday that the manufacturer was putting the price up over the weekend. The reason according the Advisor: "why should we know what the Pricing Department is doing". An extraordinary admission for a business. Basically I was told "tough". This led to trying to speak to a manager. Obstructed. Tried to speak to Customer Service. No manager apparently available in the whole company. All on holiday! Finally after much badgering I got through to the Sales Manager. Not interested. Amazingly she could not understand why I was aggrieved. She was very defensive and arrogant. My current vehicle is leased through them but I will not use again. The website looks professional but behind the scenes it is shoddy. Also, the tone and attitude of the employees is not customer focused. I will advise all I meet not to use them. Ironically, what led me to them in the first place was word of mouth endorsement so they should remember how powerful this can be. I am now left to start the search again and to write to the Managing Directors who I have no doubt will have the same approach as their employees. Good luck.

One Month Of Getting The Bus! Zero Contact From Nationwide
I couldn't be more dissatisfied with the customer service I have received from Nationwide. It has been a month since I ordered my urgently needed "in stock" car, I have barely been able to get hold of anyone there since paying my admin fees. We don't have another car and have spent an outrageous amount on public transport. I have been asking for an update constantly. Eight days after I sent my proof of address over they decided to tell me it wasn't suitable. My plans for Easter weekend have now had to be cancelled, something I wouldn't have dreamed of when I applied online on 25 February. Avoid Nationwide, they have a very strange way of doing business with prospective customers.
Q&A
Hello, can ask you, because I can't find the answer on the website. Is the car insurance included on the lease contract?
Thank you
Car insurance is not included. Just as a quick warning, do your homework before taking out a lease because this company's ethics are disgusting.
