Misogynistic Attitude
Two weeks ago I spent nearly £14,000 on a used Suzuki. The Sales person was a pleasure to deal with helpful and very courteous. There was a problem with the rear bumper losing its colour and I was assured, that it would be rectified,. Unfortunately as soon as my vehicle was washed the colour came off the bumper and now it looks a complete eyesore. Earlier today I took off the number plates that have been placed on the vehicle by direct cars and found that there was a number of holes at the back of them. Holes holding the new numberplate had been drilled into the metal of the vehicle, to the front.This Numberplate was then secured by self tapping screws.
The rear number plates holes had been drilled into the boot, in both instances the original factory set holes for the number plates had not been used, nor sealed I spoke to someone to report the problem. I was questioned in depth as to my qualifications, and if I was actually a Mechanic as to my opinions that these holes would maybe a problem later down the line with water ingress and probably rust.
Mr Baylis used intimidating and humiliating behaviour, verbally to try to destroy my self-confidence and undermine me. He constantly over talked me and would not accept that there was a problem. Was it because I’m a woman and that my opinions did not count? Apparently so, going by the reviews left by other female customers.
This particular site is a very high profile male dominated outlet, initially when I went to purchase the vehicle I did take members of my family. This is how uncomfortable I was made to feel but I would like to add these opinions that I’ve noted in this review do not concern the advisor, he was a complete gentleman throughout the business dealings.

Terrible And Shocking Company.
We purchased a car at long distance via a middle party who found our car and organised our finance for us.
As we were purchasing the vehicle at long distance we were supplied with a condition report by Direct cars which was meant to show the damage if there was any.
We received our report and no damage was declared prior to purchase .
On day of delivery we had a dent in the wing - A deep nasty scratch to the bonnet a rusty stone chip on the passenger side of the window and chips to the rear bumper . And of course the air conditioning didn’t work and the car was dirty!!!
None of this damage was even mentioned to us or declared on the condition report prior to purchase.
Our finance organiser tried to sort this for us and was told that direct cars would take no responsibility for the vehicles paint work or damage but did however offer us a £100.00 - good will gesture for the inconvenience but would not sort the damage . We told them to stick it as this wouldn’t even sort the stone chip .
The damage to the car Totalled £730.00.to have sorted and thankfully our secondary party has now sorted.
This company clearly lie about the condition of their vehicles so if you are buying at long distance then I would advise to either make the trip to see the vehicle or just avoid this company totally.
I myself will never recommend direct cars - will never use this company again and their company and after sales service is a total joke, that isn’t even funny and I would advise to avoid at all costs to avoid the stress alone
Really disappointing Deceitful company .

emailed the other day asking if the car was still for sale then travelled 130 mile to look at the car. the car was sanitized ready for us to view, drive, what ever we wanted. we had the keys handed to us and then told to take our time and just give the guys a shout when we finished "No Hassle at all". to be honest the car was as described everything was what we expected. before we left we had a walk around and they had many people viewing the cars. they are the first we have visited with out the hassle they do actually leave you alone, it was so nice.
We did not buy the car as it was £300 over our budget then needed the £150 tax plus told they ask for £50 to prep the car.
So as they dont offer a discount for cash transaction even without a trade in, i thought £13k was enough to pay for the car. shame as i would have bought the car. Maybe its down to this covid and not getting to discuss who knows.

Direct Cars provided an excellent car shopping experience. There was absolutely no hassle. I was able to look at the cars on offer, and when I said I liked a few of them I was able to get the keys from reception and sit in them etc with no salesperson present. I was then able to test drive the car. O.K., an employee was in the car with me, but I didn't actually mind that, and could understand why it was necessary. I eventually bought my car with no hard sell salesperson breathing over my shoulder. They did offer Gap and extended warranty, but did not pressurise me in any way.
After a week or so I reported that the inbuilt satnav was not working properly. I was booked in to get it fixed a couple of days later. When I took it in, they told me they could do it that day, but that it would take a few hours. I was given a replacement car for that time, and was phoned when the satnav had been replaced.
I cannot fault Direct Cars for the service they provided, and can highly recommend them.

Went to look at cars last week and found one we liked and paid the deposit, ready to be picked up today. We were told that in the mean time the car would be serviced and valeted etc (I believe there was a £50 "admin" fee for this).
The service we received was good and the sales reps didn't pester us at all and only acknowledge us when we approached them and we were happy with our experience
Picked my car up today and after I got home I noticed there was a dirty mark in the back seat which had been there when we had initially looked in the car last week. It was an obvious and fairly large mark which would be noticed by anyone looking in the back, so either the person valeting the car was very bad at valeting, or they did not bother valeting at all. All it took was me wiping a wet finger over it and the mark was gone so it was hardly a big thing to clean which leads me to believe they didn't valet the interior as they said they had on the form they gave me.
Not a big deal, but I wouldn't buy from them again. What else might they lie about?

Started looking on auto trader for a Nissan Juke - found one on Direct Cars at a great price. On arrival I was greeted by salesman D Milnes (not pestered), staff there to offer help and advice when needed.
I was offered more than expected to part exchange my car. Excellent warranties available.

I started my day looking round all the different dealership and all I got was hassle, i have never been to direct cars before I can't believe I bought my previous cars from elsewhere.. It's hassle free way to buy a car is spot on its true I walked round found my car, walked into the showroom when I was approached by a lovely salemen R o b who gave me honest advise he couldn't be more then helpful, 10/10 direct cars I will be back again!!!!!

What a fantastic place to buy a car, after looking round at loads of different places I finally found my perfect car at Direct Cars at a unbelievably low price! Brilliant people to deal with from start to finish our salesman Garth was a pleasure to talk to and helped us out with our every need. I can't believe I didn't find you sooner and I will be back in the near future to change my wife's car and won't bother looking anywhere else! Great job Direct Cars see you all again very soon.
