Sadly Jones Motors Co are not an organisation I would choose to purchase another vehicle.
It took 4 weeks for my car to be ready for collection due to various reasons including admin errors and V5 issues. (The car had to be registered with Jones Motors before it could be registered to myself).
The car was meant to have had dashboard changes to convert from KPH to MPH as it is a Japanese import. The last correspondence via email dated 24th January 2024 states ‘Once we receive the replacement dash showing MHP rather than KHM on the central screen, we will book you in to replace’. 5 months after I purchased the car and 2 months after the last correspondence and I am still waiting for an update on where we are with those changes.
The car had issues with the brakes when I took a test drive. I was told after I took the test drive that the brakes would be fixed by the time the car was collected. They were not. Again, 5 months on there is still an issue with the brakes. One quote from correspondence reads ‘As the brakes are brand new, there is a point where the brakes would need to run in for an amount of at least 500 miles’. I asked if I could have the invoice for the new brakes and the question was ignored.
Another quote from a different member of staff reads ‘The brakes have passed an MOT test and when tested were highly efficient. If you want new brakes the cost will be down to yourself. After all it is a used car and like many working parts on a car it is a consumable item which is noted on our warranty declaration’. I am still unsure if the car had new brakes fitted as initially told and still no sign of an invoice for the supposed work undertaken as stated in the first correspondence.
Please do your research and ask plenty of questions if you are looking to make a purchase from Jones Motors Co. Make notes about work that will be done to the car before it is handed over and also ensure you receive documents such as MOT certificates (I did not, I was emailed a link to the DVLA after a request was made). I paid tax on my part exchange vehicle for 2 months after it was handed over because the paperwork was not completed and sent to the DVLA.
Negative feedback is not easy but I would not want anyone else to deal with the issues I have had. I am driving around in a car sold to me by Jones Motor Co with brakes that are not up to standard and a dash reading KPH not MPH. Car sales should be smooth transactions and be reasonably honest, something Jones Motor Co did not offer with my sale.
Sadly the reply to my review says all it needs to say about this organisation.
Still have the same contact details if you wish to resolve the outstanding issue. I had to foot the bill to fix the brakes so you don’t need to worry about that.
This review has just been brought to my attention. A response will be a truthful response to the nonsense that’s been left above

Would not recommend purchasing from here at all. I was looking to buy a car and phoned up to ask if I could take one for a test drive to see what model I liked. He informed me I can't simply test drive a car to see if I like it, and asked whether I had the financial means to pay for it. I reassured him that I had the financial means and had a car which I planned on selling privately. He told me I could visit between 4 and 5. When I arrived, I looked around the different cars and found one I was interested in looking at and taking for a test drive. When I went in to ask, he told me that he would have to do a finance enquiry on me to ensure I was approved before allowing me to test drive the car. My father was with me who questioned whether this was explained to me over the phone, which it wasn't (he merely queried whether I had the financial means, he didn't explicitly say he'd have to do an enquiry prior to allowing me a test drive). He informed me that this step was necessary as the car has to be "taken off the market" for me to test drive it. He said people often come in and test drive cars, then come back and "offer a grand less, or say they don't like the colour... What's the point of test driving the car if you don't like the colour?". The car I was enquiring about was the spec and colour I wanted. He told me if I wanted to test drive an Audi to "see if I like it" then I should go to the Audi dealership around the corner seems as they "don't own their cars so they don't care what happens to them". Was he trying to insinuate I was planning on stealing or damaging the car??
The man was rude and arrogant. Hoping he works on commission so he doesn't receive a dime - such a disgusting attitude and clearly showed a prejudice based on my age and his assumptions! I wouldn't mind so much but I'm a 25 year old teacher with an existing car and a mortgage - it's not like I'm sat outside the dealership with a cup begging for a car to test drive. Will take the business elsewhere!
This review is nonsense and doesn’t not tell the full story. A honest response with true facts will be published over the next couple of days.
