Purchased a used Mini Clubman at the Tonypandy branch. Miserable wet day during lockdown so purchase was a bit more rushed than might otherwise have been the case. Car is lovely but has been poorly touched up over one wheel arch which I didnt notice at the time. I would however have expected a reputable dealer to have pointed this out, which they didnt, and when raised later said it was entirely my responsibility to have noticed this prior to purchase. Which, of course, it was. Make sure you allow time to go over absolutely everything with a fine toothed comb as you wont be able to rely on this dealer drawing your attention to any defects.

They sold me a car that had a dodgy MOT ( the suspension was glued and taped up ) plus other things was wrong this passed there mot
complained kicked of there excuse was they didn't know they are sending there cars to b looked at and mot,d and are comming bk not fixed ( how many more cars are being sold like this
So they gave me another car again same thing happened needed work

I brought an Alfa Romeo Brera from this dealership.
It didn’t even pass it’s first MOT and I hadn’t owned it for a year at that point.
6 weeks after buying the car, the air Ecu flagged up a fault. Spoke to the garage and was told that the warranty would cover it.
No doubt you’ve already guessed it didn’t.
The near side upper and lower wishbones needed changing and paint from the front and rear bumpers started peeling and the same with the bonnet also.
The garage isn’t bothered about looking after their customers and the general feeling and impression that I received customer wise was that they simply weren’t bothered so long as they had got your money.
Enough said I think.

Very Easy And Straight Forward.
I was looking for a Car that was rare and thought i would have to travel hunderd's of miles but with a little researched found Pinetree motor just an hour away. On the day i choose to go to the looking for cars the weather was shocking and after visiting two main dealers, "where they were not intrested becaused it was raining", i decided to go to one more place before calling it a day. On arrival there was customer parking which on this day was a novelty and i was greated by one of pintree's sales team with an umbrella and a smile even though the rain was not letting up. Has i knew what i was looking for the process was quick and easy from veiwing to buying nothing was to much trouble and the process couldn't have been any easier.

Avoid Like The Plague!!
Saw a car advertised on Autotrader I was/am interested in and submitted my current vehicle details and mileage to obtain part exchange value, which then gets passed on to trader (Pinetree Cars).
Several days later I received phone call from a salesman at Pinetree briefly mentioning the car I was enquiring about and my existing car before he abruptly ended call saying he has my vehicle details and will call me back within half an hour with an accurate part exchange value; he already had the details 2 days before so why hadn't he already worked out price?!?! He never called back within half an hour and I chased them up today after waiting 2 days; spoke to same salesman and he said sorry hadn't called me back but been busy and his "head had gone"!!! Still didn't have part exchange value and he said he would call me back within 10 mins; 2 hours later received call offering me £2k less than part exchange value Autotrader (and other trade publications) had recommended.
Vehicle I am interested in is also advertised at certain value which is stated as finance figure but part exchange is negotiable, however after researching value of car it seems around £1500 overpriced! Salesman not prepared to budge on price advertised and said same price for finance or cash!!
My experience of this company is therefore that they overprice the cars they sell whilst undervalue anything taken in part exchange; doubly ripping you off!!! With very poor/unprofessional customer service to boot!!
After reading other customer reviews I think I got off lightly and would advise others to give Pinetree Cars a wide berth!!!

If I Could Do No Stars I Would!!!
Viewed a Hyundai Ix35 online and decided to take a look. Loved the car at first glance however we were told we couldn't test drive something to do with the insurance on the firecourt, in all honesty I should have left it there then but I needed a car quick, my mistake! Took deposit over the phone very quickly and picked up. customer service was fairly good purchasing the car until we met the man in finance, now I'm not sure wether he hates his life , hates his job or actually hates me but he should not work with customers whatsoever, didn't explain the finance at all and afterwards was left wondering how it was £17k paying back for a car that was £12k! Car was also untaxed. We admit it was our fault for jumping in quickly with this car as we really liked it. Picked it up and an hour after driving away decided it was going back. Reverse camera didn't work, chip in windscreen, hole in the chair, brakes were shocking, and most of all the boot was full of water and the headlights were full of condensation. The reason I got rid of my last car was due to water in the boot! Rang an hour after purchase and they suddenly couldn't even remember me buying a car from them. After reminding them it was 1 hour ago I was there I informed them I'd be returning the car! After work priorities it was returned 3 days later to the most appaling service imaginable. Walked into reception and must have been sat there a good 15 minutes whilst I could see everyone just sat back on their desk ignoring the fact I was there, knowing full well who I was and why I was there. Rude, ignorant staff. Informed them I would be returning the car and not accepting it as the manager stated he would have to check it and speak to the owner. Reminded them of my counsumer rights and trading standards as they were making the situation difficult and we had travelled for an hour four times during this purchase I would not be palmed off. Tried to ensure me they could repair the problems but I was not paying that amount for a car that came with these problems, they obviously haven't checked the car over. Found old tissues in the back and sticky debris on the dash, valet was obviously not done well. After my fourth visit to ensure I would not have any finance in my name, three weeks later I am still waiting for my deposit refund. After 1 week I was told nobody had processed it, the second week I was told they've processed it and to expect it by the Friday. I'm not sure which Friday they are referring to as I'm now on the third Friday. In this time the DVLA has taken two payments in one month of a car I owned for three days and has been registered back in their name. I'm sick of phoning and hearing sales people hum down the phone because they have no idea what to say to me. Since purchase the exact same car and style , less mileage and newer model for the same price, excellent service, no problems and the finance manager was amazing went through everything with a fine tooth comb. Avoid pine tree car superstore altogether .

After waiting over 6 weeks for my refund and still not received, despite talking to the senior manager last week who assured me it was being processed, I have still not received the refund. I imagine this is to do with a member of your staff telling me they are holding on to it until they get the log book back. Very professional. I look forward to reporting you to trading standards today as this is beyond a joke now.

Warning!! Nice Cars, Appalling Service.
Buyers beware. If you are purchasing a car for cash with no part exchange, I am sure you will probably find a well priced a
Car. But I wouldn't expect too much in the way of customer service or after sales.
My own experience of part exchanging and using finance was probably the worst in over 40 years. The part exchange was knocked down, then there was an extra £300 added to the price as it wasn't a "cash purchase", next an additional £150 was added to the price as an admin fee!! The good value car suddenly became a rather less attractive one.
The finance is expensive and is done online. You do not see a copy so you may not be aware of these charges unto

I was badgered into purchasing a warranty for £700 which I didn't want. The explanation being it would cost more to purchase on finance without it !!!! Believe me, more time was spent on this than going through the figures.
Whilst the salesman I dealt with was very pleasant, both the manager & his assistant were two of the most unpleasant aggressive & unhelpful people I have had the misfortune to deal with. Everything customer service should not be.
I experienced exactly the same although I didn't take finance I did do px and yes the price of the car suddenly shot up plus the admin fee less the knocked down price of the px from the original offer Arrogant salesmen dam right rude sales manager Not a pleasant experience Car purchased needed new brakes and new tyres less than 3 weeks from purchase although I pointed this out I was told it was all perfectly acceptable and pine tree would not consider this necessary My advice especially as a lady buying a vehicle would be to consider other places to buy as customer service/relations is none existent and would have no confidence in any after sales work at this place!
I was in Pinetree yesterday, Sunday 6th September 2015. I asked 3 different sales staff what the flat rate or typical APR was for finance. Each one said that that could not and would not be disclosed until AFTER the proposal had been submitted. This is, as far as I'm aware, is contradictory to current FCA legislation, unless I'm mistaken. They each said apply for the finance then decide if I'd like to ahead.
I am a motorcycle dealer, offering finance on a regular basis, and know that the interest rates are displayed and can be lowered or increased by the sales manager prior to submitting an application. So stating the rates cannot be disclosed prior to submission is a lie.
I contacted Pinetree via a message on Facebook to give you the opportunity to answer my concern prior to writing a review, message was read but not answered. Clearly underhand tactics relying on customers lack of experience in the hope of a higher finance commission. I visited 3 other dealerships after visiting Pinetree, Trade Centre Wales being one, at each one the salesperson gave me a copy of the finance rates (subject to staus) on request.
Also, the fact you reported this prior to answering the customer concerns speaks volumes.
I am sorry that you won't give us the opportunity to resolve this matter for you.

I don't wish to be rude, but your response holds no surprises.
As far as I am concerned I will not be revisiting. The responses I received on the two occasions I raised these matters over the phone made it clear that you were not interested in my concerns & as mentioned in my original review you were incredibly rude & Aggressive.
There was not the slightest interest in the points I raised & I would politely suggest that your response is merely a smokescreen. I guess no one appreciates bad publicity or criticism.
I expect nothing from you. I will take this on the chin, but merely wish to alert others. (Incidentally, I only ever review either very good or very bad service).
The items raised were not mentioned on my visit. I had previously verbally agreed a price for the car & a part exchange value with a salesman. I had also checked the finance details & repayments. Again agreed prior to my visit.
When I queried the figures with the lady in finance after receiving the emailed paperwork, I was told, "sorry I just got passed the figures by the sales manager on a bit of paper". Strange that no-one chose to discuss with me.
And on the subject of the warranty. I was told that the total monthly repayments would be more if I didn't purchase the £700 warranty than if I did. You figure that out. I think it's called excessive commission !! (Reading other reviews, I'm not the only one who's caught out like this. No surprise).
As I said, I'm happy with the car, and had I been purchasing at the agreed price & px, without being tricked for a warranty I didn't want or need it would have been a different story.
You may well advertise as the cheapest in Wales, but taking all the above into account I could have save a lot of money by buying a similar car locally. As they say "you live & learn".

Having lived in Baglan for a number of years I have watched Pinetree grow into what now is an impressive second hand car site.
I was pleased when I visited them and saw the familiar face of the salesman who sold me my last car nearly 3 years ago. I was made to feel very welcome.
I knew what I was looking for, found it, test drove it & agreed on a price for my part exchange. Was introduced to a Business Manager who carried out the paperwork with the minimum of fuss. When I returned to collect my car I felt like a valued customer. They even filled my tank as a thank you. I will definitely be returning & would recommend them to friends & family.

First thing's first I am the original grumpy old man, I expect good service as a minimum when spending my money so for that reason I have never written a review about anything (good I expect bad I walk away). I knew the car and model I wanted so checked some websites visited cars sales to meet some pushy "must sell" sales staff, congested "feel" to show areas with little space between vehicles making a good look challenging, staff with no time / interest to spend listening to my wants / opinions.
Checked Pinetrees website, simple easy to use, took me straight to the vehicle I was interested in and gave ALL data. Called in, vehicles well presented with space around vehicles to have a good look, open doors, push buttons, you know A GOOD LOOK. Met salesman "Not allowed to mention names" who actually listened, with so much information on the website I already new all I needed, "Not allowed to mention names" did not try to "sell" he tried to help by making sure I was clear on information on which to base a choice. Went for test drive, not around the block, a TEST drive. Beautiful car. Introduced to "Not allowed to mention names" (finance),again someone interested in my wants, explained everything (patiently / clearly) answering any queries, and without trying to sell "extras". I paid a reasonable price & drove away in an excellent vehicle a very content man. From driving in to driving out I was comfortable, well served and given every assistance. I said at the beginning good I expect well Pinetree certainly delivered above good.

Call me cynical, this is the exact opposite to the service I received.
Yes the prices look attractive at first glance & the cars are decent.
However beware if you have a part exchange or are using finance.
Part exchange prices are knocked and you will pay an Additional £450. You will be badgered to purchase a warranty. £700 for 2 years & don't expect a decent interest rate.
The after sales/customer care too is appalling. Once they've got your money forget it.
On the plus side, the salesman was very pleasant.

Great Affordable Car
After searching the web, I was very pleased with Pinetreecar Superstore website which helped me speed up the time needed to spend looking for a new used car. I decided on fiat 500.
I have to confess, I don't like car salesmen and usually am critical at garages, but at Pinetreecar Superstore I had good service from staff which were welcoming and helpful but not pushy. They were honest about the car I bought and had good insight to what I wanted and needed, which came at a great affordable price. I traded in my old car, and had a good, fair price. If I had to improve anything, I would ask them to speed up the purchasing transaction and not be kept waiting but to be fair, this was not the salesman's role and I only waited a short time in the office and I am a time conscious person. Well done Pinetreecar superstore I would definitely go back for my next car and will be recommending to my friends and family!!

Just Perfect!!
Drove 4 hours to view my new car after seeing it online. I reserved the car over the phone and as promised it was waiting for me when I arrived and was ready to go. I fell in love with the car and the team at Pinetree we very good. Drove the car away within the hour and it was so nice driving it home. Even with the travel costs it was still much cheaper than the other cars I had seen and the service is brilliant.
