I rang Stebbings asking if they had a specific car that I was looking for, they got back to me within the hour and had found me the perfect car.
They are very professional to work with and made buying the car so straight forward. They delivered on a lorry and took my old car away. fantastic !

Recent Purchase
Bought a two year old Volvo from here just over a week ago and have found the after sales care disappointing. The salesman said we would get four new tyres, the top sheet of the job sheet shows Four New Tyres. However, when we got it home we noticed that we had one odd tyre, not even the same make. I took the car back to query this and was referred to the Service Team. the service guy showed me their copy, it only had three new tyres written on it. We have been told that the fourth tyre was 'road legal' so not only have they got different versions of the paperwork. they are quite happy for a customer to have a single 'odd' tyre. Our regular mechanic informs us this is very poor practice. We now have to 'go halves' to get the fourth tyre to march the rest of the set. Additionally, we have a side panel in the hatch that was damaged, the after sales team said they will replace and they should have it in within three days, we are now day four. so we wil see. Such a shame the service has gone downhill. We were looked after properly the last time we bought from here.

Be Warned - Beware - Be Wise - Stay Away
Bought a VW Passatt from them for £14000 with their Gold COVER auto protect @ £700 which is not worth the paper it is written on. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS COVER OR VEHICLE FROM THEM. IF THINGS GO WRONG, Auto Protect, THEIR INSURANCE COMPANY SAY ITS WEAR AND TEAR AND STEBBINGS DONT WANT TO KNOW, YET THEY ARE KEEN TO SELL THIS COVER. The flywheel went on our car and their assessor with an arrogant attitude, said it was wear and tear and not covered. We have a bill in excess of £1000 WITH OUR MAIN DEALERSHIP WHOM ARE DISGUSTED WITH THIS COMPANY. AUTO PROTECT IS ONLY GOOD IF YOU DON'T INTEND TO USE THE CAR and keep it parked up SO NOTHING CAN WEAR AND TEAR OR GO WRONG!!! Do yourselves a big favour and stay well away. For those of you that have purchased from them... just pray nothing goes wrong with your vehicle as you'll be left high and dry AND OUT OF POCKET!!

i phoned stebbings in the week to enquire about a truck spoke to salesmen & said I would visit to view .phoned again on the Saturday to say I would be there at lunch time to view the truck . we had to wait for the specific salesmen who was busy eventually we went to have a look at the truck on our own . we had travelled 70 miles to look at this truck ! the salesman came to us with the keys and said he was dealing with other people and to look around .opened the doors to the truck and found it covered in mould ! they hadn't even been to check it out .so make your own mind up .

Stebbings are good,bought 5 cars and a van from there, sales perfect,friendly, always let me test drive on my own, any problems are sorted out, had a problem with my nissan and rang them about it took it next day sorted, didnt have to pay a thing as i took out the extra warranty, got a good trade in price on my old car aswell, they go the extra mile, read some of the reviews on here its a USED car place there not brand new so please expect marks etc, prices low if you want a brand new car then spend 1000,s more on one thats worth half that in a year then moan, TRADE ins mean trade in prices,

Agreed The Price Of A Car With The Sales Manager B
Agreed the price of a car with the sales manager but when passed to a salesman he added a £49 "admin fee" which when I questioned this he explained it was for his time "doing the paperwork". What? They must be joking! Be aware.
Hi, I am actually the account holder for Stebbings and not the prior author as thought. We do display the admin fee on our own website, Autotrader and all the other advertising sites we use. We also have a generic deal presenter that is used with every customer who gets to the stage that figures are presented. This also has a full break down of the make up of the charge. Admin fees are widely charged by car supermarkets and are normally £99.00 this is common with the larger supermarkets like Carshop, Motorpoint and Car Giant. We are different at only charging £49.00 but not just that including the next MOT test with in this figure. We believe that £49.00 to carry out all the checks and an MOT if fair value but accept your views. In regards to HPI we unfortunately do have to pay per check, but do receive a discount due to the volume we carry out. I hope this helps in explaining our charge, albeit I accept may not make it any more acceptable. Thank you Richard Brown
Under the office of fair trading regulations for car dealers, (I read up on this) stebbings must make the customer aware of the admin charge when agreeing the price and not later when the order is signed known as "the point of sale" . A notice should be displayed making it clear that an admin charge is payable and at stebbings it is not. £49 for sending a document to DVLA is a joke and stebbings have a Bulk HPi check facility which is not chargable per car sold. Would I be right in thinking Stebbings wrote the previous response themselves..... Computer says yes!
have recently purchashed a vehicle from stebbings and as with most car supermarkets we were informed there would be an small admin fee of £49 to cover Hpi And NMR checks and re registering of documentation with DVLA.
Which for piece of mind we thought this was a small price to pay.
however by paying this fee, stebbings also agreed as part of it to give the next mot free, so it was given back in the form of a free mot.
cannot see what the problem is, Fantastic Service, Great people, would definately recommend and buy again..

Just brought Astra Gtc from Stebbings, all i can say is what a pleasant experience, from having my old car valued to buying my new car. The salesman was great taking us through the whole process. When we we picked up the car it had been serviced and valeted, couldn't have asked for more. If your looking for a new car i would give stebbings serious consideration!

We travelled from the Isle of Man to Stebbings to part exchange our truck and to buy a Citreon DS3. The lady we dealt with at first by phone from our home and then at the car centre was very helpful and made everything easy, she explained everything on the forms that we had to sign, made sure the car had been cleaned etc and that we had the mats to go inside (even though the mats may be a minor detail it was nice to know
we had them). It was the second time we had dealt with her the first time we were just looking at the DS3 but she gave us all the time we needed and answered all questions asked. We certainly would call Stebbings first if we ever need another vehicle and have already reccommened Stebbings to others.
