The Comfort And Fit Of The Viper Gt, And The Abili

The comfort and fit of the Viper GT, and the ability to alter the internal padding to fine tune the high level of comfort further makes this a great investment, you can pretty much put it on and forget you're wearing it, it's that comfortable, no pressure points, or uncomfortable areas. The helmet has a number of vents, 2 in the visor which help to keep the visor clear, but a combination of the breath guard and fitting the supplied fog city insert to the visor (no drilling required - it' already compatible) means that I've not yet had the visor mist up, even when at a standstill in the cold/rain. The extra visors, in the chin, and a further 4 on the top of the helmet make this great for a hot day, no more taking off the helmet to find a soaking inside - and if you did get it wet/dirty the whole liner is removable. Visor release - though advertised as quick release does take some getting used to, and I ended up watching a couple of clips on Youtube to get the hang of swapping visors - don't be alarmed by the loud 'clicks' when you remove & insert the visors! At speed this helmet is one of the quietest I've experienced, and with the clever flap under your chin which allows you to extend a small mechanical flap to close the gap between the lower edge of the front of the helmet and your chin/upper neck.

The only downside is Arai's cost - but this helmet has had Arai's R&D ensuring it does it's job well, it's designed to protect your head - spend whatever you can afford to protect it!
