My Automobile Is A 2001 Tracker Zr2,there Is No Ru

My automobile is a 2001 Tracker ZR2,there is no rust on it,at all.Simply b/c when I bought it 2nd hand,I put it on a rack, and sprayed rustproofing underneath it.A must for small suv's,there is 76,000 miles on it.I have it serviced when it needs to be,and have replaced whatever has to be replaced.Your Tracker has kept my wife and I safe in more then 1 instance.Thankyou for your craftsmanship. If you make and suv that rivals the TRACKER in the future, plz, let me know about it.

Good Car Around You Must Maintain And Keep Clean.

Good car around you must maintain and keep clean. Gas mileage alright. Inside door handles are cheap and break very easily. When pushed hard on the highway it will downshift and will blow around. Air, rain, snow all leaks through the convertable take off top. Gets rusted very easily so maintain it very good. Exhaust is very loud and embarassing.

My Chevrolet Tracker Now Has Nearly 60,000 Miles O

My Chevrolet Tracker now has nearly 60,000 miles on it and has been very reliable. The only problems I have had have been a bad outer rear wheel seal at 3000 miles and a recent problem with the left rear power window motor quitting. This vehicle will go almost anywhere, but you have to be careful of large rocks and take it slow. It has very comfortable seats and will get you there in a hurry if you keep your foot in it, but will suck gas if you run it hard and fast.

I have gotten from about 20 mpg to 30 mpg, but average around 22 to 24 mpg, which is about average for small SUV's with four wheel drive and automatic transmissions with four cylinder engines. If you keep it under 70 mph, you can get from 26 to 28 mpg on the highway. Needless to say I have a heavy foot. Cruising speed seems to be best in the 80's, when you can do that. It tops out around 110 to 112 mph. Better than most full size SUV's with governors, but scary at extreme speeds.

I tried a KLN filter, but found it didn't clean near as well as the stock type filter (It was much thinner and I found fine dust in intake system), and it didn't help mileage or power either.

Pulls hills off-road very well in four wheel drive low at 12,000+ feet in the snow. Easy to shift the automatic manually for more control with an overdrive lockout button and a power button that will hold it in second gear. It will tow up to a recommended 1500 pounds with no problem.

I love this vehicle and would recommend it to someone looking for a small all purpose truck frame based go anywhere 4X4, but the manual transmission would be better if you want to use cruise control or are bothered by a busy automatic. (The automatic transmission is made by a Toyota subsidiary. The rest of vehicle is made by Suzuki and GM in Canada).

The four door has lots more room and is quieter and more comfortable than the two door, but it's also longer and heavier. The hardtop of the four door makes it safer and its insurance is cheaper. These vehicles were also available with a V6 in more upscale models, which would help with the cruise control and busy automatic, but will probably use lots more gas. The Suzuki Vitara of the same years is the same basic vehicle.

This Chevrolet Tracker Has Been A Great Car, Espec

This Chevrolet Tracker has been a great car, especially for the price. I am disappointed that Chevy is no longer making Trackers. The 4-wheel drive is great in the snow, plus the convertible top makes it fun in the summer. My Tracker has been very reliable and gets reasonable gas mileage. The convertible top is somewhat difficult to put back on once it has been taken off but I managed and it's ok. I would trade mine in for a new one if I could.

Have Put About 28k Miles On My Chevrolet Tracker 4

Have put about 28K miles on my Chevrolet Tracker 4x4 since I bought it and it is somewhat peppy, but not overly so. Will burn rubber when given full gas pedal, even when it shifts into second. Somewhat economical it gets 26 MPG. Will go through any snow when in 4 wheel drive. Interior comfort is excellent although smallish - it is a small SUV. Good sound fron disk player. Quality craftsmanship interior and exterior.

Overall A Fine S.u.v. No Rattles Or Squeeks, Good

overall a fine s.u.v. no rattles or squeeks, good on gas, although underpowered with the 2.0 litre 4 cyl. engine it is reliable and torquey on bottom end.
