I Have Owned The Suzuki Grand Vitara 2.0 Auto 4x4
I have owned the Suzuki Grand Vitara 2.0 Auto 4x4 for more than 2 years and I am fully satisfied with it. It has brought me to the rocky mountain roads of Sagada which it has negotiated with ease. The rougher the roads, the more comfortable and reassuring the Grand Vitara becomes. The only part I replaced is a fragile rear door latch which does not match the sturdy nature of the rest of the car. After constant inspections (pre-9/11 attacks) of the vehicle by over eager shopping mall guards, the plastic rear door handle finally broke. When I went to the dealer for replacement, each and every Grand Vitara owner has already replaced their rear door latch also because of breakage (Suzuki, please take note). I wish that they would replace it with a steel plated handle. That is my only complaint. The air conditioner, multiple utility pockets, sturdy and upright seats and trouble-free engine has otherwise won my heart.

Comparing The Suzuki Grand Vitara 2.0 Auto To Othe
Comparing the Suzuki Grand Vitara 2.0 Auto to other crossover vehicles available in the Philippines the Grand is tops. I feel the Grand will last a long time than the other uni-body psuedo 4 x 4 s in the market. Shift on the fly is standard proven to be useful in foul weather.

A Real Surprise. The Suzuki Grand Vitara Has Exce
A real surprise. The Suzuki Grand Vitara has exceeded my expectations. The level of specification is equal to a similar car costing several thousand pounds more. A real value for money vehicle. I would certainly consider purchasing another Suzuki.
The exhaust smell.
chek the wall between the engine and the driving compartment for loose rubber-plugs, wire-hardness, it is also a whole for the antenna-wire
If you have AC, it can also make a bad smell! The AC-system can be cleaned with some special treatment.
There is a set of rubber-flapps that is hanging in front of the holes that brings out the air from the cupé when you fill it with new air, (located under the car in front of rear tyre) if these flapps are missing or is stuck you can get some smell in your car!
Off-road vehicles need to have firm suspension to enable them to cope with harsh surface conditions so you will feel bumps more than in a soft suspensioned vehicle. I have had no problems whatsoever with ingress of exhaust fumes. Perhaps a specialist exhaust centre could identify the source.
Agree with your views, except ride not so good! But...do you get an exhaust smell (not catalyst) through the car? I have a 2000 model, 12000miles but cannot use it! It has been to 2 dealers, had various tests (incl re-adjusted rear door)but all to no avail. Any ideas?
