We Just Love This Car.

This car is unbreakable. We have had it four years and it is ten years old. Mechanically is sound. A few of the clips for the roof broke but they are plastic and eventually the weather makes them fragile. Anyway, you can buy then online for about £20 for a whole set. The car is brilliant for getting through the snow and it is awesome in summer as the roof comes down. The kids love the car because the roof comes down in the back but not the front. The car when washed looks really good and there is absolutely no rust. The roof going up and down I don't find a problem but of course it's not electric. The boot I don't find particularly small either. I use it for going to the caravan and I find if things are well positioned you can just stack things up. I will have this car till it dies.

Owned Our Jimny For 4 Yrs Now Just Had Fuel Pump G

owned our jimny for 4 yrs now just had fuel pump go,£400 fitted in a garage,prob get that down a bit if shopped about!!!.but £400 for 4 yrs motoring ain't bad,hasn't even blown a single bulb,yes it is painfully slow,yes you need a phd in physics to put the roof back up,yes there is no boot,but with the roof down on a hot day driving to the beach u carnt do better ,and on a freezing day,with snow everywhere u will b the only car going anywhere,the review where he said he gets 40mpg is a bit off ,ours does nowhere near 30mpg at most,a 2l diesel 4x4 would give u more mpg,but cost u 2 or 3x's the amount 2 buy

The Suzuki Jimny Soft Top Is A Great Little 4x4. I

The Suzuki Jimny soft top is a great little 4x4. I wanted something not as expensive to run as a toyota rav4 etc however has the off road capabilities of a defender and this little suzuki fits perfectly. The soft top is a great laugh, although it takes a while to get the back bit up and down with all the zips etc its well worth it. The boot may be small, however if you want something for space then it would be pointless to buy a jimny. The jimny is everything that I wanted and more.

Lets Cut To The Chase On This Car. This Suzuki Ji

Lets cut to the chase on this car. This Suzuki Jimny 1.3 JLX Soft Top is a fine vehicle for what it was designed to do. Suzuki, back in the late 70s, saw an opportunity to attempt to replicate the Series 3 lightweight para-drop Landrover. Take in to context they succeeded - SJ80/SJ410, now the Jimny 1.3 JLX Soft Top, this car does what it says on the tin.

It's fast, nippy, 40mpg, a CO 2 of about 170, whose complaining? The final edition series roof is a doddle to put up and down (2 clips at the back 10 studs, just grease them, I can do it in 30 seconds). The front over head roof panel, 2 clips that's it. This 4WD is not a Rangy. However, put nobbly tires on it and it will give them all a run for their money. Suzuki have ceased production on them now, so prices will be going north next summer, watch this space! This car came fully loaded: Met paint, power steering, 2 airbags, alloy wheels, anti-lock brakes, and CD Player for £7500. I rest my case!

I Was In Greece And Decided To Hire A Car, Out Of

I was in greece and decided to hire a car, out of all the cars I've seen I wanted to have a go at the Jimny, even though there was a vitara I liked the Jimny for the size of the engine (1.3). So I pulled up in the hotel and the look on my girlfriend's face made me smile, she was excited to go out for the day in a convertable 4x4. This is how we got on;

We took the roof down which was like a nightmare with all the zips and panels, Then, me being a bloke and not thinking practically, we opened the boot and we were horrified. 'Where was the boot?' she asked. I thought, 'great, I'll take it back now', but my girlfriend said, 'We will have it for today but change it tomorrow'. So unbelievably we fitted the buggy, (not a tiny stroller) the panels, a few carrier bags and the baby bag in the boot, I couldnt believe it! It was tight but it worked. My son loved it in the back as we were high up and could see everything with the wind in his hair.

We decided to stop at the beech and this was the nightmare, I opened the boot and everything just fell out, to make it worse the heat was beating down on me and I was fighting with zips to get it back together, The only bit of the soft top I thought was great was the sunroof! When we wanted to leave we realised we had walked down the steepest hill ever, and I mean steep! We couldnt get the buggy up the slope to get out of this place, it was hard enough to climb up. So i said, 'well we got the jeep lets test it'. Me being horrified to be going down it as the bonnet vanished and all I could see was the floor, i got down safely and to my amazment at how easy the jimny made it, my girlfriend, said 'It looked scary thats how steep it was'. We packed everthing in and getting up it, I thought, was where we were going to be stuck, we flew up it with no problems at all it was so quick and easy I just fell in love with the Jimny from then on!

We also went through the sea a little and drowned the poor thing and had to be rescued, the engine died and just would not start at all and I was 10 minute drive away from land (tarmac). Other than that the jimny was great all round, it has a powerful little 1.3 engine (beat my mate in a new shape fiat panda) comfy front seats, even though you bounce all the time, and just felt so fun to drive I have never driven anything this good before. The wheel wobble above 50 was a bit rubbish and the space in the back could be more generous but overall I loved it. Just take it easy driving along the motorway and bumpy roads. We kept the car the rest of the week and now we want to buy one here in england, although I will more than likely be going for the hard top version as the security of just popping the roof off isn't for me.
