Simply The Best

I have owned my 1999 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER COLORADO 3.0L diesel for the last four years. The car has covered

190k miles and has never missed a beat .Regular oil change and scheduled cambelt replacement being the main expenditure.I would not recommend anyone starting up a specialist Land Cruiser repair business as unlike other specialists their services would not be in demand. It does not have the street cred for the school run but if your up to your neck, in whatever, you know you have the ability and reliability to get you home.

Most Amazing Family Car

We have 4 Children so could not have a standard saloon we have tried the Sharon/Galaxy and the Merc V class both wore out or where problematical. However this amazing truck has done 203000 miles with us and apart from normal servicing it has had only one problem, we had to replace the radiator, the design has changed since. We wore out the rear suspension which wasn't inexpensive but apart from getting a bit tattier with age it still goes like a train and takes all of us with a trailer and roof boxes on Holiday and it is full most weekends travelling the country with Kayaks and 6 strapping lads in the back. Would most certainly buy another.

Best 4x4 On The Road...or Off It

We bought ours new 11 years ago and its just passed 140,000 miles with just a replacement radiator being required throughout its life. Amazing! Spends lots of time towing horse trailers around the country, ploughing down pot holed tracks or hauling building eqipment around central London. Perfect at everything we throw at it. I just cant imagine what I'd replace it with so will just keep on running it. My mother bought a new Land Cruier in 2009 which is quieter, faster etc but it doesn't do anything which the old one can't. Well done Toyota, Land Cruisers rule...if you have a Disco get to your local Toyota dealer and swap it!

I Bought 8seater Toyota Landcruiser Colorado Vx 3.

I bought 8Seater Toyota Landcruiser Colorado VX 3.0 from UK WITH 175000miles and i have exported in Romania where i'm using every day on most bad roads you can imagine , 2 weeks ago i was pulling a 3.8tonne trailer ,believe me she was pulling like train! Also over here in winter we have 20 inch of snow and she keeps going without problems (ofcourse with proper winter tyres), last week i had to drag Discovery and BmwX5 out the snow.

The Colorado is one of the best rivals for a Land Rover Discovery, and much the same size. Like the Disco, it's very strong off-road, with standard high- and low-ratio gears ALSO THE BEST IS DIFF LOCK, pretty handy on Tarmac, too. It rides well most of the time, better even than a Land Rover Volvo XC90 in certain situations and much better than a Mitsubishi Shogun.

I had before Vauxhall Frontera and Volvo XC 90rubish off road AND IN SNOW.

We're as family very pleased with this 4x4, my wife prefer to drive Landcruiser than nearly new VW Touran because is does feel more safe in this 4x4.

Make sure if want to buy one of this ,look for abuse and with full service history as some of them are abused, my one had previous owner for 11 Years and with full service history and this proved that there's many more years of life left in her.

And dont't forget i belief Landcruiser has been built for draging Discovery and other 4x4 out of mud and snow!!!

Good luck.

I Have Owned A Toyoto Landcruiser Colorado Vx For

I have owned a Toyoto Landcruiser Colorado VX for 3 months. I bought the car because I have to drive four kids around and did not want buy an ugly looking people carrier. The kids love it its very spacious the seats are good quality leather front 2 are heated and the back ones fold away nicely to create more space. The engine is very reliable does not let you down come rain hail sleet or snow mine has done 93K which is not even warmed up fro one of these. The body is solid as stone however you can also purchase chrome mirror covers and steel spare wheel covers that make the Colorado stand out. Fuel consumption is around 20mpg as it's an auto but its well worth the drive. Great 4x4 miles better than other jeeps around

Owned From New, Bought In Spain. Now Covered 31000

Owned from new, bought in Spain. Now covered 310000km, only failure was fuel sensors for starting at 290000. Spends summer getting covered in dust in Spain and winter ditto salt in Scotland, but still no rust. Has towed heavy caravan all round Europe. Has been serviced from Greece to Glasgow, and have yet to find a bad toyota dealer

I Bought A Toyota Colorado In London And Drove It

I bought a Toyota Colorado in London and drove it all the wat to South Africa (Capetown) It is an amazing car. Never stopped. Sometimes we were driving non stop for 3-4 days over the worst roads I have ever seen. No problems. We did see many other cars broken down next to the roads but was always feeling really lucky that we were in a Toyota. Amazing car . . all I can say.

Q&A

JosephineMacheke

I bought a pre-owned Toyota Land Cruiser from UK I am in Southern Africa i now experience that the right tyre is wearing (whole tyre) out while other three are okay. The steering is also a bit stiff. What might be the problem? Do I have to change all the tyres as the car is now in a different climate condition? Or is it a matter of wheel alignment?
