Only Ever Had 1 Problem With This Car. A Section
Only ever had 1 problem with this car. A section of the exhaust was corroded when the car was approx. 3 and a half years old. This was replaced under Hyundai warranty quickly and at no cost to me. No further problems in the next 18 months so far!
NEGATIVE POINTS
Not much bad about this car at all, just a couple of things. Slightly disappointing return on fuel economy - you'd be lucky to get over 40 MPG out of this car even driving very steadily.
Sometimes tricky to engage reverse gear, especially when cold (this is actually mentioned in the user manual, so may be more of a 'feature' than a problem)
Not so great in ice or snow, probably due to the narrow wheelbase and the car being quite light.
Performance is neither good or bad enough to make a particular comment on. If you crave speed and tyre-smoke its probably not for you, but if that's not a main priority this car is good enough.
Deceptively spacious inside, lots more legroom in the back than you would think. Boot space also very reasonable.
Insurance group 4 so not as expensive as some when searching for cover.
All in all I think a great little car, one that I think I will be sorry to see go when I do eventually move on to something else. If every car I have owned had been as trouble-free as this one, I'd have been very happy indeed.
