The Kia Soul Burner, we purchased in Dec 2009, We fell in love with the wacky style.
A real head turner.
Shame the build quality was so poor, the paintwork started to peel off within a couple of weeks of taking delivery, we were told by Kia that the bodywork had not been keyed.the paint work was so bad, a Kia dealer said it looked as if we had followed a grit lorry up the motorway for about 40 miles.
Bits of trim fell off, door rubber seals came a drift, rear parcel shelf buffers were glued on, so when the car was left in the sun the glue melted and the buffers fell off into the boot area.
The matt black trim around the outside of the doors, is in fact (STICKY BLACK PLASTIC TAPE) even this started to peel off once the hot sun had been on it.
We even had a recall notice to say the in built speaker flashing lights had a fire risk fault on them.
The Soul Burner certainly would benefit from Kia's 7 year warranty, thats if there is anything left of it by then.
Great styling on most of the Kia range,,just full of cheap cheap cheap parts.
