Best Car In Its Segment

I Have the Nissan Micra 1.5 dci 3dr. 160000km/100000miles and no major problems. Had to replace my right rear wheel bearing. And My Aircon Radiator inside the Car packed up. Overall Fuel Consumption of 5.0l/100km on a combined Cycle. Open Road driving gives an Average of 3.9l/100km.

The Plastics in the Luggage Compartment Becomes noisy on a rough road. And it have a high level of road noise on speeds higher than 80km/h.

Its service intervals is @ 10000KM/6000miles, which is very short. Whatever you win on your diesel consumption you will lose on your regular maintenance.

Services is very pricey and your Timing belt service is due every 60000km, cost me 700$.

The Interior is Surprisingly Spacious, but Rear Headroom for taller occupants is a bit tight.

Headlamps may fade if your car stands a lot in the sun.

Driving Position is excellent and comfortable, you can take the long road with ease.

The Suspension is tight and if you have low profile tyres you will feel every little bump in the road.

The power supply of the diesel engine is Amazing and that makes this little car excellent, once you're in 5th gear you will never have to gear down, doesn't matter how steep the hill. It Cruises comfortable @ 160KM/100MPH and feels very solid @ any speed. Get to a curvy road and your fun begins.

Your Instrument panel is user friendly and the Air vents shift the air where you actually wants it.

The Abs Brakes is reliable and bring the car to standstill in a split second.

The Sound System is not of the best, but gives enough amps to still enjoy your Favorite tracks.

Best all round value for your money.

In 100000km/60000miles I've spent more or less $4000 dollars on regular maintenance.

Top Class Super-mini.

An amazing little vehicle, economical, reliable, spacious, nippy, all from a 1.5 diesel? The seats fold forward giving you the space of a small van. The issue with the unpopular sized tyres (175/65/15) is an easy fix...put 185's on it...simple!!! If your local dealer is charging too much for parts then go on the internet and you will find every part you will ever need for a fraction of the cost. I can honestly say that the only thing i've found that could possibly be of any concern is when pulling away, if you give it too much acceleration it will cause wheelspin, but that is not a bad complaint from a little diesel car. How can a 1.5 diesel car be so nippy yet so economical? Well done I say, and if you're thinking of buying one of these then go for the 80hp diesel...it's just brilliant!!!!!!

Hi

I own a Nissan Micra 1.5DCI Tekna. What a brilliant little car, it goes like a rocket and uses nearly no Diesel to go along, my trip computer gives me an overall economy of 4.4l/100km.

The only thing that I can;t understand is that how can a dealer charge so much for spares? I live in South Africa and to do a normal service on it cost me the last time (60000km) R3144. I can't pay nearly R800 a filter?

Very nice little car, but there is no way you can maintain it. Agents are ripping you off and no pirate spares.

I own a 2006 Micra TDI. A major service cost me R1040 at SAC.

The Nissan Micra 1.5dci Is A Brilliant Little Car.

The Nissan Micra 1.5dCi is a brilliant little car. I've got one on an 04 plate, and its economical, and has never broken down. I've recently had the CAM belt changed (because it had reached that time), and it cost £182 plus labour, so even that was fairly reasonable!

I Have Driven Nissans Since They Were Datsun And C

I have driven Nissans since they were Datsun and can honestly say that this Micra 1.5dCi SVE is the last Nissan I will own. My local dealer refused to believe that it had a cambelt (good bit of product knowledge there) and then an extortionate price is charged for any cambelt change. The cambelt kit alone is almost £200.

It also boasts an uncommon tyre size (175/65R15), which many garages do not carry so have fun with any punctures!

In my opinion this is definitely a car to avoid.

The Nissan Micra 1.5dci Sve Is Amazing. Its 1.5 Di

The Nissan Micra 1.5dCi SVE is amazing. Its 1.5 diesel engine propels it along very easily at amazing economy. We are averaging 65mpg (according to the onboard computer) and we live in a rural, hilly area with no dual carriage way for 25 miles, so lots of gear changing.

On a recent journey it returned 72mpg averaging 60mph.

The cabin is well thought out with lots of space for such a small car. There are lots of little touches like a storage box under the passenger seat which lifts up. The rear seat moves backward and forward to allow for either more leg room (moved back) or more storage (moved forward).

The lights are excellent in the night and there is good vision all around. The audio unit is good with steering wheel control. The service interval

is I think 18000 miles or 24months (please check) which means Nissan have a lot of confidence in this little fella. If you are looking for a car of this size check it out and definitely drive this diesel version.

The whole car is well thought out and looks good. It may not be everybody's cup of tea and you may not want to speak Micra but I consider this car to be a winner.

On the down side (there always is one) the gear change can feel a little clunky but it's not a major issue.
