I Love My Little Car!

I bought my 107 from a year old at the age of 17. All I needed was a cheap, small car that would save me money, and that is exactly what I got. It's a quick little thing and immensely fun to drive. It's fantastic on fuel consumption, averaging 64mpg and the insurance, even for a young driver, is cheap and cheerful. And the tax being only £20 per year is brilliant!

I learnt to drive in this car and it's control and manoeuvrability made it easy to learn in.

it's small, reliable, fun, quirky and over-all FANTASTIC! I would and have recommended it!

Thanks, Peugeot!

Perfect First Car, Really Good On Petrol.

At first I purely chose this car as it would be my first car and at the age of 19 insurance was never going to be cheap. However, because this car is only a 1.0 litre the insurance wasn't too bad.

Size: I love this car as due to its size it is really easy to get used to on the roads and when parking as it usually fits into a lot of spaces other cars can't. It doesn't look like it really has a boot but when you start to fill it with shopping you will understand it does actually fit a lot in.

Petrol: I still complain about the price of petrol but this car does help me in the sense that I don't have to fill up every 2 seconds as it is really good on fuel consumption. However, it does save more petrol just doing short trips around town as I used to have to travel to work via the motorway and noticed my petrol went down a lot quicker whilst on the motorway but nothing drastic.

Comfort: This car is very comfortable to drive and even when I have passengers in the back they say they are comfortable which I didn't expect as the car doesn't offer a lot of space inside when there are 4 people in.

Recommendations: I would recommend definitely getting this car in a 5 door as the car is already small inside and I can imagine it to be difficult getting in and out of a 3 door.

The only thing I wish I could change is the engine size as it does take a while to get up to speed when on the motorway but that may be just because I'm getting used to driving and would prefer something with a bit more power.

5 star can't fault this car.

I Bought A 107 Lite @ A Month Ago And Do Approxim

I bought a 107 Lite @ a month ago and do approximately a 14 mile return journey to and from work everyday. I have just filled up with fuel again and have done a magnificent 82.6 mpg! My average speed is between 35 - 45 mph (speed limits forbid going any faster!) The 107 is an ideal town car and with the cost of petrol as it is I am saving in the region of £40 per month. The only shortcomings are that the Lite does not have central locking or electric windows, but value for money and fuel economy is what I wanted and I have certainly got that. I would recommend the 107 to anyone wanting a small car with oodles of personality.

My Peugeot 107 5 Door Is Great

MY PEUGEOT 107 5 DOOR IS GREAT!!

Changed my trusty old Nissan Almera GX because I had had it from new for 8 years and it had never let me down until 2 weeks ago when the battery gave up (now that's not bad after 8 years!) BUT I am 65 and thought it was time that I had a smaller more economical vehicle.

Did a lot of Internet research and asked around and saw exactly what I wanted at a local garage - one year old with only 2000 miles on the clock. I opted for FIVE doors as I do not like the very large doors on the 3 door model of any car. It is a very good car for its size, very nippy and accelerates a lot faster that I thought it would. It is very roomy, in fact surprisingly so and the boot is adequate for my needs - able to carry about 6 large bags of shopping; there is also PLENTY of LEG ROOM for the rear passengers. It is rather noisy after the larger Nissan but not unbearably so.

There is central locking which also locks and unlocks the boot which is manually opened from the rear.

Upholstery and carpeting is pretty good, kind of a plush grey velvety type with grey PVC trimming. The radio and CD player is good, better than I expected in the size of the car.

All around visibility IS rather compromised by the UN-adjustable headrest of the front passenger seat so you have to lean a little when reversing but otherwise it's OK.

The one real annoyance for me is that there is no REAL glove compartment - it is open so there is nowhere that you can put things out of sight. Things can be put under the front seats BUT only from the rear. However this is really a minor point and is outweighed by the fact that it does 65 mpg and the Road Tax is only £35 per annum instead of the £120 I paid for the Nissan. It also fits into much smaller spaces than the Nissan and is much easier to manoeuvre.

The Insurance is also very low because of the size

You can buy a glove box cover from your local Peugeot dealer. It costs around £35 and is simply fitted by 2 screws

JUST AN UPDATE - WHEN I CAME TO BUY THE CAR TAX AFTER A YEAR IT WAS £20 ONLY NOT £35 - SO I'M EVEN MORE PLEASED!

The Fuel Tank Of Peugeot 107, Citroen C1 And Toyot

The fuel tank of Peugeot 107, Citroen C1 and Toyota Aygo can be easily damaged in the event of a rear-end collision which may result in fire. Many owners complain that airbags of the 107, C1 and Aygo sometimes inflate when a collision is not present, but the driver presses the brake pedal in order to stop the car suddenly. Others complained that their airbags didn't inflate when needed, so they were injured as a result. The 107, C1 and Aygo are prone to rollovers due to their proverbial stability problems. According to one survey, 75% of Peugeot 107, Citro n C1 or Toyota Aygo owners have experienced problems with stability and/or steering resulting in temporary lack of control.

Strange review offering little personal experience of the 107. Are the 'star' marks based on the third party reports or on personal experience and if the latter, what is the evidence?

Even reference/link to the stats offered would be helpful so that the detail behind the data could be reviewed.

I Ordered My 107 2-tronic In June 08 And Waited 4

I ordered my 107 2-tronic in June 08 and waited 4 months for it as it was a special build with electronic stability programme,air-con,rear parking sensors, rev counter and curtain airbags. It has been a superb little car since I got it - easy to park and sips petrol.Low VED,and insurance costs cut running costs to the bone as does its 60mpg consumption. In town it is very nippy in traffic but is really surprisingly good on the motorway too with good acceleration for overtaking with one passenger.Performance does fall off with 3 or 4 passengers however but the car is not at a disadvantage even so.This car is the true successor to the Issigonis Mini of the 1960's with the addtitoon of everything modern technology can provide.Residuals are very good to at around 50% after 3 years. The Peugeot has higher levels of sound insulation than either the Citroen C1 or the Toyota Aygo which gives much quieter running especially on the motorway. The car is quite comfortable to drive long distances and is NOT just a city car. I just love to drive it.

The Peugeot 107 is a good car to have - mind you I like Peugeots. Two alternatives are the Citroen C1 and the Toyota Aygo - they're exactly the same car, made in the same factory by the same engineers, just with slightly different front profiles.
