Good Points And Bad Points
Good Points
- Nippy for a 1.4 engine
- Good on fuel on motorways (I average 48mpg)
- Decent equipment level - bluetooth, USB connection, auto lights and wipers.
- Cheap to insure and tax
- Easy to drive and park
- Looks fairly good - 15inch wheels, sports exhaust, tinted windows, colour coded trim
Bad Points
- Very noisy when accelerating over 4000rpm
- Ride quality is awful - suspension must be made from stone
- 2 clutches since new and gearbox acting up
- Fuel efficiency in town is horrendous
- Rear leg room is a little cramped
Comparison
My friend has a 1.4 Match VW Golf. The Golf has much better build quality and feel to it although the Peugeot is much faster on the straights and through the corners. If you are looking for solid build quality - buy something else. If you are looking for a nippy little car that is cheap to run - 207 is a winner.
Overall, if you decide to buy this car - make sure it has a long warranty! You will need it!
