Vive La Peugeot 207

if your looking for a small hatchback thats cheap to run, insure & looks good.. then look no further.i bought my wife this car for her birthday..in jan last year at bristol street peugeot here in harlow.essex.its a 5 door 1.6 207 sport hdi 90 brake bhp..its blue..& has been brilliant..i really do recomend this car to anyone looking for a cheap little car..it was on a 56 reg & had 42,000 miles & one previous keeper,we had a old 03 reg,1.8 tdi ford focus estate with nearly 185,000 miles on it..i got lucky & sold that to a mini cab company for £1650..so i was on the hunt for a new car..i was going to go for another diesel ford focus at my local gates ford in harlow but as i was heading down there i saw the peugeot on the front of the local peugeot dealers forecourt..it looked the part alloys fogs,etc..it was also blue my wifes favourite colour...i took it a test drive there & then..& bought it..weve owned it a year today.& its been faultless ive now done 56,000 miles so 12,000 miles..its mainly used for the school run & shopping as we both use scooters to go to work..plus points are ....it never drops below 55 mpg in town.it hasnt used any oil/water at all!!. headroom is good, has a great boot, has been very reliable with no faults,,however negative points are..the engine bay is very tight,ie to change a headlighht bulb took me over 30 mins as i couldent get my hand in ,rear legroom could be better but is ok,the kids are ok but adults struggle, short trips are ok but longer journeys are a no no. sometimes when at idle inside the cabin, there is a strange bearing ie ,metallic noise, but if you press the clutch it goes away, its not a mans car as it struggles for power having only 90 brake horses its ok & will sit all day at 80 mph, loaded with a 500 l roof box etc & give 55 mpg..but its no vw passat 140 tdi estate im glad i didnt buy a 70 bhp 207 as i was offered one, mabye the 110 bhp car is better??i may get it chipped later this year when clean it loks great though, but i found the worst problem was its tyres..it came with michelins, & these have a very hard compound ie are very hard.i now need 4 tyres & im getting 4 budgets on for £200 fitted ie 195 x55 x16v.. if you go over a bump/ pot hole you certinly know it,as the suspension is set up very hard..its no lexus gs 300..but overall its good ,no electrical gremlins, etc.it starts first time every time & as mentioned earlier has not used a drop of oil or water.the gearbox is good with no notchiness or issues.did i mention the road tax is only £35..im keeping this till my warranty /finance runs out in 2013 & i will buy a 308 estate diesel just for a bit more space..or a skoda yeti or a vauxhall insignia diesel?? 8/10..take one a test drive you wont be dissapointed!!!!

My Sister Bought Her 207 Diesel From Peugeot Main

my sister bought her 207 diesel from peugeot main dealer with 12000 miles on the clock . and what a disapointment !!!! first time i saw the car you could see the door had been re sprayed a very poorly for a nearly new car ,

anyway she had the car about 6 months and found it difficult and sticky to select gears . took in for routine service and report fault as car was under warranty .. chief mechanic couldnt fault gear change !!! a few months later it got worse . i tested car and when changing down from 5th to 4th you had to select neutral first . wiggle it a little bit then select 4 th gear . took about 2/3 seconds to change gear . my sister had just got used to using 4 gears instead !!! . i advised her to take car back and get it checked again at maindealers .. it was agreed there was a fault .. and new part was ordered from france .. and car was eventually fixed within a week

so if you want small econimcal car with a CHOCOLATE GEARBOX please buy a peugeot

This Car Looking Like Suitable On The Road But Whe

This car looking like suitable on the road but when you take a hole on the road the car can spin a little bit.

When the engine starts there was strange noise at the transmission side, like a bearing noise when the clutch pedal was pressed the noise is gone, you can take the engine noise inside, also while the gear changing after 2000 rpm the engines has a strange noise when the clutch pedal was pressed.

Used peugeot for many years, this is same base chassis as the 307 but has great looks and loads of street cred, definitely first class.
