I Have Just Changed My 12 Year Old Astra For A 06 Corsa Sxi

HAD THIS CORSA NOW FOR 3 WEEKS IT IS A LOVELY LITTLE CAR RUNS WELL FOR A 1.2 BUT I FIND IT A VERY UNCOMFORTABLE DRIVE YOU TEND TO FEEL EVERV BUMP IN THE ROAD ITS SO RIGID ITS UNTRUE NOT RECOMENDED, WHY THE SUSPENSION IS SO TIGHT I DONT KNOW TYRES TEND TO PULL WITH THE UNEVENNESS OF THE ROAD WHICH YOU FEEL THROUGH THE STEERING COLUM I HAVE WIDE WHEELS PERHAPS ITS THAT IF YOU LIKE A SMOOTH RIDE DONT GET THIS ONE.

Corsa 1.2 Sxi (12 Plate)

This has to be one of the worse cars ever... Thankfully it's only a hire car!

The fuel consumption on it, is absouloutly terrible!! This little car is thirstier than a dehydrated person lost in the desert! The amount of money i have put into this thing is nuts.

It's ok if you can stick in 5th gear all the time and keep the revs to 2500. If you put your foot down... The needle drops like a pair of concrete knickers!!

If there is a plus side: It drives really well and is a very comftable drive with great steering and handles very well. Vauxhall just need to sort out the fuel consumtion and it would make a great car.

I Have Covered Aprox 750,000 Miles During My Drivi

I have covered aprox 750,000 miles during my driving career and never burnt out a clutch. I purchased a pre reg 2009 1.8 petrol Vauxhall Insigia and apparently I am responsible for burning out the clutch after a mere 3,886 miles (absurd). I emailed the MD VX UK (Mr Aldred) and The General Manager (Mr Harris) who promised to investigate the matter. The conclusion arrived at is that I am totally responsible and they could offer no assistance. The bill is £1624-19. As this vehicle is, in my view, clearly unfit for purpose I have been forced into the position of taking my local Network Q dealer to the County Court. I deeply regret buying this car and I hope that this will assist any undecided potential Insignia buyers with their decision.

This Could Be A Brilliant Car, Apart From Having C

This could be a brilliant car, apart from having clutch problems and niggley other problems. the car looks cool, the space inside is brilliant, goes well in town and motorway. This car could be the best car i have owned apart from the machanic problems and i am very worried what it will cost to keep it on the road in the future?????

If I had known about the clutch problems I would not have brought the car.

Can't Really Fault My Little Corsa 06 For Its Perf

Can't really fault my little Corsa 06 for its performance which is splendid for a 1.2. Similarly, touch wood, she has never let me down. What's so annoying is the build quality: the part leather seats have worn where my bum touches getting in (24,700m on the clock) although a marker pen in grey hides this a bit and the Flame Red paint is going pink in the Isle of Wight sun. Getting bonnet and roof resprayed. Rattles a bit from the dashboard and the boot, but not as bad as some. Quite good fun to drive but does lean over a bit when going round twisty bits, as mentioned.

Owned From 25,000 To 125,000 Miles And Only Water

Owned from 25,000 to 125,000 miles and only water pump failure ever failed, which was not stop me from driving it. Very good engine, good MPG and power for 1.2 but there is too much body roll in corners. also low profile tyres make potholes uncomfortable. excellent build quality, car is still like new. i cant understand people having so many problems, me no problems.

Corsa Sxi 04 Plate The Only Good Thing About

corsa sxi 04 plate

the only good thing about this car its the body work, well its shape. from day one nothing but trouble, from the gear linkage, to the hydrolic clutch, water pump spec changed, due to a pipe burst, and low and behold, new pump fitted and head gasket blows 3 times in total, within 6 weeks.

i wouldnt recomend this car if it was the last one on earth. and vauxhall customer care offered 86.00 for the cost of the faulty water pump.

The Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 Sxi Isn't A Bad Little Car,

The Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 SXi isn't a bad little car, with good road holding. 3 door is awkward for rear passengers, so would avoid if you have elderly relations/friends. The car will hold its value and will give good reliability. Timing chain will need replacing at 70,000 miles. Otherwise engine good. Nippy, cheap parts, reliable. Engine noise above average, paintwork quality questionable. MPG could be better.
