Vw 1.4 Whoops
Hi I bought a vw 1.4 polo just under 12 mths ago the car had to go back the next day as it was found to be covered in railway fillings this was due to being parked next to a railway siding awaiting dispatch to the customer which took 3 days to be done it then went for its first service and two days after the steering pump went not that it was anything to do with the service but not good for a car just under the year in age I think they are really bad for rear leg room over priced at £15000,00 and although it is the age it is I was going to trade it in but can't afford to its in first. Class condition but only worth £8000 so they loose value very quick as well would never buy another vw I'd rather burn my money

2nd Service In 3 Years And The Rear Discs Are Shot
2nd service in 3 years and the rear discs are shot. 200 quid to fix. NOT impressed. Apparently this is a known problem with VW using shoddy parts.

I Love Our New Polo Tdi, Has Very Easy Handling, C
i love our new polo tdi, has very easy handling, conservative design, comfortable seats, nice heavy doors and not costly on diesel. However, like any good diesel engine, it gets a bit noisy on low gear, road noise is also a bit high on the freeways, the side mirrors are a little bit too small and VW has the worst customer service i know.. that said though i would still recommend this car to anyone, it's a reliable little car.

Please think twice before to buy VW polo and search youtube and learn how DSG problems will make your life terrible and some other problems like constant wind noise and steering inbalance problems are very common within VW polo owners

I Previously Had A Wv Polo 1liter Petrol And I Was
I previously had a WV Polo 1liter petrol and I was very happy with it, I changed it for WV Polo 1.4 TDI and I love it. Everything abaut the car i like, the shape of it, performance, torch, driving position, everithing. The only thing is a little noisy at low speed, however is normal in diesel engine. The diesel consuption is great, so overall Im very happy and I enjoy everyday being in the car.

Hi Although I Love Our New Car It Has Been Back In
Hi although I love our new car it has been back in to the garage three times with faults, and now a serious electronic one, their customer service is terrible and I really feel that they don't care wheather I am a happy customer or not, I don't know when I am getting the car back, as they don't call as according to them they are to busy. I really shouldn't have a new car that has been back to the garage this many times.

Report On A New V W Polo 1.4 Petrol - 59 Reg. Met
Report on a new V W Polo 1.4 Petrol - 59 reg. Metalic Black hatch very good from driving point of view. Very responsive steering & good brakes. Engine suffers on hills & you need to be back in 3rd gear or you loose speed. We are however having a problem with flaking paintwork around bonnet edge. This is on the drivers side at the windscreen end. There seems so be 3 different places where the bonnet paintwork edge has been "touched up" during factory final inspection. 2 areas are at the windscreen edge & another around the front edge where the V W grill badge is located. One of these areas is now flaking off close to the drivers wiper blade & arm, but we have not caused this damage ourselves. More fragments flake off the more we drive the car. Estimated mileage to date is 1,500 miles. V W seem reluctant to accepting a faulty paintwork warrenty claim. We have checked several other new unregistered V W cars at our local dealership & have found 2 cars where there is signs of rough paintwork "touching up" around the edges of their bonnets. These were a Fox & a Golf. Has anyone else experienced this rather unfortunate problem. This is our 1st V W ownership, & the UK based V W's unhelpful customer care response to our problem has made us wonder if we have made a wise choice of car purchase. Finally, we felt we could not recommend any V W cars to our freinds, because of what looks like a commom paintwork manufacturing problem. Please send any helpful replies to support our claim to :- [email protected] or call us on 07825 382428. Thank you. John Quick. (posted 20th July 2010).

Vw Polo 1.4tdi Bluemotion 1. This Car Is Really Lo
VW Polo 1.4tdi Bluemotion 1. This car is really lovelly to drive and has taken us, regularly, up to North Scotland from West Devon 70mpg at 70mph ... amazing. We forked out the extra money to buy the most fuel efficient vw we could, however it the alloy wheels let grit through to the disc brakes and the drum brakes to (screws up functioning of the ABS). I got a three year servicing deal and discovered that only includes a visual check of brakes so I have had to go back five times and fight my corner to get the brakes fixed. But if you stick to your guns you can break through and my main dealer did respond. I got this car because it is meant to be tough ... just not on bumpy dirty minor roads.

Had The Car Two Days When The Fuel Pump Died The C
Had the car two days when the fuel pump died the car had covered 26 miles, that said VW were extremely good, the car was back on the road the next day. Very spacious, well equipped and a real pleasure to drive. I am not interested in torque or speed if I was I woudl have bought something more punchy. It works fine for me.

I Bought A 1.4tdi Match A Year Ago And Do Motorway
I bought a 1.4TDI match a year ago and do motorway miles mostly. I suppose the one issue the cars have is the front of the dash where there airvents are to de-mist you windows do cause issues, in that when the sun shines off it there is a major glare on the windscreen which is dis-concerting and off-putting when you are tyring to concentrate hard on the road ahead and at the end of a 40 min drive you can be left with very tired eyes and a very sore head. Ive just had the tube to the rear windscreen washer come off, but the car is just due its first service!!!
Other than that its totally reliable and manages 500miles on 1 fill-up. I hope VW can do something about the glare as it would be one thing that would put me off again in the future.
