Jaguar X Type 2.5 Sport - Phoenix Red
What can i say. Bought the car new in 2003 from Harry Thornes in Wakefield. One of the best cars i have ever owned. Timeless in style and absolutely excellent build quality. Engine is ford Duratec with Jaguar head and associated components. The V6 purrs like a big cat!!!
Economy is good for a fairly heavy car but the sturdiness is reassuring in terms of comfort and safety. I love this car, there were not many made in Phoenix Red so if you get chance buy one. Mine has only covered 26,000miles from new !!!!
Its still a head turner. I would highly recommend one to anyone and at current resale prices you could get on areound the 3,000 pound mark.
Problems ?................in eight years.................none !!
Jaguar heritage and such a shame they stopped making them. The baby jag still rules

I Have Recently Bought A 2002 Jaguar X-type With L
I have recently bought a 2002 jaguar x-type with less than 45k miles on the clock. i am only 23 and i too had a few people say to me that it is an older persons car, i can't disagree more. This car is absolutely gorgeous and really looks the part. i own the 2.1 v6 sport version and for the size of the car, it really goes. the interior quality is second to none and the driving feel is spot on. This is real comfort but sportiness at the same time. If you do wanna drive sensibly then you can and the car feels totally smooth, but if you get them crazy days and want go mad around a few bends, the x-type picks up her skirt and performs with no dramas. The only quarrel i have is that there isn't a cup holder in my car, but i totally forgive the car for that.
awesome car, makes a great sound too. Totally recommend the x type to anyone.

The Manual Shift On The Jaguar X Type 2.5 V6 Sport
The manual shift on the Jaguar X Type 2.5 V6 Sport is a bit stiff, but performance and economy for what is a heavy car is impressive.

I Bought A 2.5 Jaguar X-type Second Hand From A Ga
I bought a 2.5 Jaguar X-type second hand from a garage in north Wales, a 2001 model, silver in colour, in great condition 4 the year. cloth interior, electric front windows air con,i must say well made inside ,a fell of quality, it was owned by a chap who hardly used it ,it only had 26.680 miles on the clock when he part ex d it. it has now done 30.000+mls now, and if you drive it at say a steady 50-60 you will return a gen 30=mls to the gallon. It also has a very good turn of speed if you get bored? Oops .having the same chassis as the Mondeo, but none the worse 4 that. Good handling. If you put in 36lbs of air in front and back tyres, dont worry that s what it say s in hand book. It has good boot space very quiet at speed, hardly any wind noise. Yes very pleased with it.
All in all a great car for the money roomy, quiet fast, frugal, and good quality, I recommend one.

I Got The Jaguar X Type When I Was 25 Against The
I got the Jaguar X Type when I was 25 against the views of a few individuals as they said it was for the older person, it's not. I came from a BMW M5 and I drive about 80 miles daily it's now done 56k and it's the daddy. It looks nicer than a 3 series drives better than an Audi. I don't know what I love about it so much but it has never let me down, and every time I clean it a grin comes over my face. If you want to drive it fast you can but equally it is smooth enough to run in low gears and it does gain respect.
The sports pack does add that little bit more of a sporty drive and feel to it and the engine sounds like the beast it is. If you get the chance try one out it really will surprise you, the extras that came with mine like the heated seats (that are both electric) the fully voice activated centre unit blows me away and make the whole experience 'executive'.

The Jaguar X Type 2.5 V6 Sport Well Sure Footed 4x
The Jaguar X Type 2.5 V6 Sport Well sure footed 4x4 family car that can give many miles of fun if you wish but can accommodate grandparents and make them feel secure in style.
Plenty of front seat adjustment (electric) and tilt & rake on the steering wheel to obtain a good driving position. Dash nicely laid out without being cluttered and plenty of indication from invisible lights from the dash when warnings would be required cleverly disguised.
The 04 model now comes with two cup holders on the centre console which I find more useful. 17" alloy wheels look stylish point to watch out for is keep your tyre pressure up or tyre ware will occur prematurely.
The 2.5 lt engine is sweet running nice tone when throttle is opened up and adequate torque available when dropped down a couple of gears for over taking or if you want to have a little fun, it will deliver. No rattles or squeaks from the girl or the car.
The collaboration with the boys at Ford really have done nothing to detract from Jaguar's pedigree this is one fine model that does stand out in the masses where it's distinctive style is unmistakable.
