I Like My Little Vauxhall Corsa Sport 1.6 16 Valve
I like my little Vauxhall Corsa Sport 1.6 16 valve. It handles like a go-kart; but that's because it's been fitted with Bilstein shock absorbers and Eibach gravel springs! I'm sure if it had been left standard the car would handle like a blancmange.
The brakes are more than enough to stop something that now weighs less than a portaloo. The car has Vectra V6 brakes at the front and SAAB brakes at the rear. The standard brakes were fitted to my sons go-kart as that's all they were suitable for.
Most electrical items have been removed from the car and the wiring loom has been replaced with a custom built one.
The engine now runs on throttle bodies, and the car has a Pipercross induction kit. The engine now produces approx. 135 BHP.
The Corsa is a quick car, and it accelerates very quickly - but I don't believe claims that a standard Corsa 1.6 Sport can outrun Citroen Saxo 1.6's etc. I don't think the standard cars are that quick!
Buy a Corsa if you like
paying a lot of money for your car insurance
having your collar felt by every traffic cop in the area
waking up every other morning to find your car has been broken in to!

My Girlfriend Had One Which Was Dyno'd At 100 Bhp
My girlfriend had one which was dyno'd at 100 bhp and the only things it could beat down the strip were Saxo VTRs (well one of them) and a 1.4 nova! As for handling... the ride is too soft to b able to corner properly so you get a lot of body roll and they aren't much better when lowered! Rear grip is also quite poor when cornering hard and it likes to skip out a bit! However with the right suspension setup they can be good and now in her redtop'd sport she can keep up with my 205 GTi.
So overall they id say they are ok for the boy racers who can ' t afford a faster car.

I've Had My Vauxhall Corsa 14 16v For Almost Six Y
I've had my Vauxhall corsa 14 16v for almost six years, its been fantastic just passed its mot again! I've kept the service history up and its only let me down once due to a worn battery, I've kept the car totally standard unlike a lot of people out there! I'm in to minds whether to sell or not as I'm now in a position to update but thinking of sticking with a corsa sxi model however I'm in no rush to move it on. so I would recommend this model.
