Minor Gliches Addressed By Dealer (replaced Interi
Minor gliches addressed by Dealer (replaced interior heater fan which failed). Leather interior stood up to daily 3 kid knocking and scuffing. Will fit 3 booter seats in a line (just!). No engine issues. Suspension needs looking at after 60k+ miles - bushes dry etc.. Excellent family car - on the dreaded school run, loaded up for holidays or running to catch a meal !

Have Owned The Car For Two Months - Done 4,000 Mil
Have owned the car for two months - done 4,000 miles and taken it to France on a camping holiday. Absolutely fantastic car for a family with young children. The onboard computer registered 43mpg on a 250 mile drive to Dover, fully loaded with roofbox and trailer! Ok it's not a sporty car, but it's stylish and for a family, you can't beat it. The Grand Scenic with the extra row of seats and extra storage space is a very clever and useful design.

This Renault Scenic Is Very Comfortable And User F
This Renault Scenic is very comfortable and user friendly, it is what it is a Small MPV, not a van or off roader. I have had the car since new (Feb 03) and only done 3000 miles so it isn't really run-in yet. The ride is fine and even though it's a diesel noise is not overly invasive. The fuel economy is good typically 39 mpg just running it locally on short trips with the A/C on auto. The CD player is excellent as is the overall layout of the car, at the moment I am well pleased buts lets see in a years time.

Purchased The Renault Scenic 1.9dci Priviledge Plu
Purchased the Renault Scenic 1.9Dci Priviledge Plus new and have done 12000 in 1 year. Still have 1 year or 6000 miles to first service. First few weeks had some electrical glitches (alarm sounded wouldn't reset) but all clear now.
It has just about everything you need, seating position is a bit odd, could do with being able to push back seats further back when luggage is limited.
Auto option on aircon takes some getting used too - don't fight it and you are OK
My 3 year old loves the height and plenty of windows to look out of.
A recirculation valve in the exhaust failed after 10000 but was replaced in half a day under warranty - service was first class

Had The Renault Scenic 1.9dci Priviledge Plus For
Had the Renault Scenic 1.9Dci Priviledge Plus for less than a year and bought new.
9000 miles the Eco-Friendly tyres fitted by Renault wore out so had to replace with proper tyres.
15000 miles, Turbo vent pipe fell off and stranded me in the middle of Scotland.
17000 miles, Exhaust fell off on the motorway
21000 miles, Accelerator cable snapped.
These are just the highlights - The car has spent more time in the dealers than on the road. Do yourself a favour and buy a Skoda.
Wore the tyres in 9000 miles, crikey, I don't drive slowly and I have got 18,000 out of mine and still 2 months life left - It's an MPV!!
Have to agree the build quality is a little poor. I mentioned to the dealership when I took mine in for it's first service - was this a friday afternoon model or is this the standard Renault build - no comment, but he smiled pleasantly!
