Audi S4 4.2 V8 Tiptronic

Right then, we all have different desires when it comes to what we drive about in. I'm 56 now and have long since lost my desire to be the fastest away from the lights. Having said that I do enjoy comfortable grunt with a low profile public image. The S4 fits that bill perfectly.

I had a test drive of all the cars in that bracket at the time, the S4 did it for me. It was the quietist and the V8 gave a seemless power band.

The only critisism I have is with the benefit of hinsight. It is a hard ride and it's too small in the back for fat or thin grown ups.

I have driven and ordered the new V6. It gets a lot closer to what I was looking for 3 yrs ago. Choice of ride settings, from really quite comfy to jesus that was quick! It's longerin the rear and a bit wider. Add a 25% decrease in fuel consumption ( the V8 fuel gauge drops like a stone ) and it's quicker. 9.5/10 from a fussy old bloke.

I have the avant (estate) version in black with no badges.It's always a joy to see the surprised look on the faces of Porsche and M3 owners!

I use it everyday and it is superbly capable in all weathers and road conditions and has neve skipped a beat. Suparb motorway cruiser and a joy on the A roads

I have recently had it coverted to LPG (Prins Auto Gas System) with no difference in performance but now the equivalent of a 50+ miles per gallon car with the performance of a suparcar!

I recently purchased an Audi S4 cabriolet, 6 speed manual, black with cream leather, it is one of the finest cars I have owned and driven, the noise with the hood down is glorious, the finish exceptional and performance excellent. It is a true four seater taking my wife and two kids in complete comfort.

Brilliant car what can I say except I love it.

I have had my Audi S4 4.2 V8 Tiptronic Sports Car for about 8 months and have already covered over 20k miles and every one was a pleasure. There are not many cars that can do everything like the new S4; corner well, accelerate very quickly, cruise on the motorway all day and give you the reasurance of the German Build Quality. I know there are faster cars, that are cheaper but for a seriously quick car that you can use everyday, the S4 (in my opinion) wont be matched.
