Porsche Cayman S (manual)

I had the opportunity to drive one of these Porsche Cayman S as part of a track day, driving various sports cars and this was the most exciting and involved drive. It is very fast, going through the gears almost too willingly, causing you to go too fast into corners. The braking is absolutely superb though and whilst my instructor was shouting Brake! Brake! it slowed down without locking up or getting out of shape. The long but very fast right-hander of Thruxton Circuit was the most exhilarating, with a 110 mph the rear tyres squealing and gripping the tarmac like a bunny outrunning a fox. So exciting. When getting out of it it took a couple of minutes to get my heartbeat down to normal. Great fun. Go try one.
