Alldrive Canada RV Rental, Calgary, Alberta

We were screwed by the review on Tripadviser that All West is a new company that different from Alldrive. In reality, it is a completely same company. They just did their tricks differently now.

We just got back from a 2 weeks 5th wheel rental. There were some stuffs did not work in the trailer. But it was bearable. In the last day returning the car, they check the car very careful for an hour trying to find problems on our friend's RV. He got caught with a stick out mental on the window frame and charged him $450.

Our car had a dent on the window frame. We notified them immediately when we returned the car. They charged a small dent for $650 and claimed that they did not charge for other scratches on the trailer. If we did not have the dent, I think we will have to pay for something else in order to walk out of the door safely.

Be really careful! If you don't want to be ripped off, stay away from this company!!!

DON'T EVER GO WITH THIS COMPANY!!

We rented a van at Alldrive in August 2010 (at Langley, where that monstrous Edith works). It was a beautiful RV, but several things were wrong with it (tanks flooded while not even half full, aircondition attached on the roof inside the vehicle was leaking badly (Luckily we didn't get any electric shocks), the tap was leaking, the table collapsed several times, and the list goes on, and on, and on

We made a list with all these inconveniences, so that it could be fixed for other people. We also wanted to ask some money back, because we paid alot for that van while many things weren't functioning properly. We gave Edith the list and asked her to make a deal.. That woman went totally mad. She called us liars, denied that there was anything wrong with the van, said we made it all up, etc. I mean, what kind of person are you? How can she co-run a company?? (Now I hear that Alldrive is bankrupt, doesn't surprise me at all..)

Then the deposit of $1000 Together with another Dutch couple (we are also Dutch), we informed our banks about the situation (ING, also known in Canada) and they would organise an inspection at Alldrive, if we wouldn't get our deposits back. The four of us called and emailed with Alldrive, claiming to receive our deposits. Alldrive (Doreen this time) went mad, said that they always hold back the money of the deposits for at least a week, so they can pay repairs on the vehicles (does that make any sense??) But finally, after 10 days, we received our deposits! So it's not impossible, just inform your bank/creditcard company and threat them with inspection. No wonder Alldrive is bankrupt! I heard that they operate under a different name: All West RV. Those scammers have to be stopped!

Stay away from AllDrive or AllWest RV. Company is managed by very incompetent and agressive people. Had very bad experience with an extremelly poor camper and even worse the financial settlement upon return.

Looking at this list, I feel stupid.

We had exactly the same experience. Security deposit stolen!!!!!

While the truck camper we rented was nice, the experience of renting from AllDrive was a nightmare. We only rented for a weekend but it wound up costing almost $1500 (security deposit + rental) for three nights.

I got caught in the same security deposit scam as everyone else. They gave me lots of excuses and then went off the radar. I finally was able to get the charges reverse through my cc company. Thank goodness for that. I'd never see my money again had it not been for my cc company.

AllDrive Canada is now AllWest RV, but it still has the same folks running it so beware. I'll never rent from them again.

So we had the same Problems - they don't return our deposit!

But now attention - be carefull!

Alldrive Ca. inc is now trading as Allwestrv.ca !!!!

New name - but the sam persons. We checked the domain-info; there we found that also Doreen W. (President of Alldrive Inc.) ist again on board.

So we think: better keep away....

stay away from ALLDRIVE Canada. They stole your deposit and don't give it back to you!!!

Nice enough campervan. However I paid my $1000 dollar security deposit and have not received it back. We hired the campervan 29th September 2010 and returned it on 13th October 2010 with no damage. Was told it would take up to 10 days for deposit to be refunded into account as it takes longer because we are from the U.K. I have emailed several times and have only had two responses, in the last I was told to try and claim the money back through my credit card company. This is a disgrace. This company should be investigated by the local authorities. Canada is a lovely country, unfortunately when I think of my holidy there, the first thing I think of is of ALLDRIVE ripping us off. This is out-right theft.

I am still waiting for my security deposit refund.I rented a trailer in Calgary back on July 31, 2010 and returned it Aug. 15, 2010. I was told I'd see my refund in a week. It is now November 13, 2010. My wife has called several times and told that there was a problem with the computer system and we would be seeing the refund soon. Now when she calls, she can't even get anybody to answer the phone. It looks to me like their system works just fine as people can get on line to make reservations. My wife told them that if they couldn't find our paperwork she'd be glad to fax a copy of ours, but was told that there was no problem. They agree'd they owe us money - around $600.

I"M STILL WAITING! Pretty sloppy way to run a business. We do a lot of traveling in Canada and have friends who do also, and I'm certainly going to recommend to everyone I know that they not deal with these people.

NOVEMBER 3 2010 after renting the first weeek of aug 2010 I was told in a week a cheque would be sent out for my cash deposit refund after they had checked for tickets . end of sept no refund yet . phoned again they said oops , cheque in mail today . week later cheque . put in bank oct 20 cheque RETURNED NSF . CALL &CALL NO ONE ANSWERING PHONES NOT NICE!!!!!
