I can recommend A 1 BMW .My 22 year old Sclass Mercedes has been looked after serviced and repaired by them for the passed 18 years and what ever has gone wrong with it A1 has fixed so if you have an old car like me or a newer car give them a ring ,

Great service and a speedy repair of my mini. Would recommend to anybody with a German made vehicle.

I have used A1 Specialist Cars in Stevenage for over 2 years and they are absolutely brilliant. They provide a friendly efficient service, keep you informed and the rates are very reasonable. You can trust their work which is first class. I Cannot recommend them highly enough!

If you want to bin near £200 just for ‘inspection’ for them then to give you inadequate quote near the total value of the car to fit couple of parts and adjust couple of bits, this place is for you. Just delusional pricing. Staff are nice but a waste of cash. Maybe good for insurance work, when they cover the costs. Otherwise, not fit for purpose. That’s why they’re always empty.

They book me at 8:00 o’clock and put my car o stand for geometry on 13:00…

After I finished my shift at 2 in the morning, wake up at 7 to be at 8:00 on A1 Service Cars… they put my car on stand on 13:00, I walk 45 min back to my home… I need to take one they off from work because you don’t have BRAIN!!!!

THIS WILL BE FIRST AND LAST TIME WHEN I BRING one from my 3 Mercedes-Benz to you.

You should tell me that you don’t have brain and ask me to bring my car at 8 and you will put just on 1/pm my car on geometry…

I’m not coming second tine there!

I've used these guys twice now, and think they are brilliant. A month ago I bought a used 525i 2008 which I took to them for checking over and peace of mind. The service manager there is a great guy, he's very knowledgeable and more willing than anyone I've ever met in the industry to explain and show you exactly what is going on with your vehicle. There is no pressure, only a clear picture of what is needed, how much it will cost, and ideally when you should have it done by.

It turns out I had some hidden expensive issues to sort, but as I'd bought from a car dealer there was some warranty, and they actually called the dealer on my behalf to sort it out and rang me several times with how it was progressing. A lot of the cost was recovered and the repair carried out in two days flat even though they were very busy at the time. It took away a lot of the stress.

I can echo some of the other reviews on here that A1 is a real find. You feel completely confident your car is in the best hands possible and that you will in no way be taken advantage of. The other staff, the owner and the mechanics themselves are all the same, a real team of helpful, friendly and knowledgeable guys.

What a gem ! To the person I dealt with & all the team, a very big thankyou for your friendly & polite customer service, professional motoring guidance and top notch technical work. What a treasure find A1 BN Specialist has been ! These guys have carried out a whole range of services on my Merc S-Class, including: MOT's, Brake Pads & Discs replacement, Electronic Fault Diagnosis, Visual Healthchecks, Oil & Filter change and most recently, a Brake Fluid replacement. These guys set to work, get the job done and give me peace of mind at an affordable price. You will not be disappointed - a professional outfit without the unnecessary thrills (and costs) of a main dealer !

Well my experience wasnt a good one probably because my car its not a bmw but on the other hand they shoudnt take responsibility for a car they're not specialized at. They charged me for diagnostics 3 hours x £65 an hour replaced a camshaft actuator for no reason and the problem was still there and they said well thats as far as they can go so i paid 440 for nothing. So i found a proper mercedes specialist in mk autoclass mk and they found the camshaft was twisted and replaced it and the car was finally repaired. So mercedes owners avoid this garage for serous faults

A1BN has been my second home for about four years, ever since I've owned performance cars. I had an E46 BMW M3 which I took to the person I dealt with and the team for maintenance and servicing. A year into ownership the worst happened and the head gasket went. The person I dealt with and the other man were very sympathetic and did an incredibly thorough job in diagnosing the issue and what needed to be done. They are very open, honest and transparent with their information and constantly keep you up to date with phone calls and photos. Another man did a fantastic job with the head gasket and the car never felt stronger. More recently I bought a B7 Audi RS4 and brought it to A1BN for a health check. They found some important issues which Audi themselves failed to spot in their pre-purchase inspection. Courtesy cars are readily available and there is a comfortable seating area with tea and coffee, and if the person I dealt with is feeling generous he may even share his biscuits. I take very good care of my cars and am very particular - I also live about 45 minutes away, but won't take my car anywhere else. Their labour charges are very competitive given the depth of knowledge and quality of work undertaken. A1BN are a credit to the specialist garage industry.

I'm really happy with the service I received from the person I dealt with and the team at A1BN garage, Stevenage. I took my MINI CooperS convertible, 55 plate in after the car kept going into limp mode whilst driving. It was in safe hands!  The person I dealt with and his team worked hard to diagnose the fault, were transparent and upfront about the costs involved, loaned me a courtesy car when I needed it and taught me more about under the bonnet of my car than I'd ever known before. I'm delighted to have found such a trustworthy team of experts and will be using them for all my MINI needs from now on. My car is driving beautifully now.
