Great Service

I took our car to Langney shopping centre Eastbourne on the 4th February.

There was a really nice, friendly guy there. He was very polite and efficient.

The work was done to a high standard and he even cleaned the paintwork underneath the window. He rang us when it was ready and |I could not fault the service.

This was for replacing the passenger side window which had been smashed by vandals.

Atrocious - Do Not Use

Auto glass put in "Cheap Chinese Glass" (as described by their own technician) replacement windscreen in to my Audi Q5. The windscreen was nothing like the original in my car - The tint was wrong, the sun shade was missing and it didn't fit my car properly. I have been bounced between 10's of customer service people - who NEVER PHONE BACK and have still not replaced the windscreen in my car for the correct windscreen 8 weeks later.

DO NOT USE

Poor Customer Service

Two months ago, the fitter turned up to replace my screen, unfortunately without side straps. I was told they would be ordered that day. To be fitted asap. I have phone almost weekly to be told it would be chased up and I would be called the next day. I was never called back. The crack I the screen is getting worse and is now effecting my wipers. Poor poor customer service. Another big company not caring

Terrible Customer Service

Absolutely don’t recommend this poor company to anyone I have had replacement 3 times the windscreen on my new Mercedes CLA cause has been cracked, they fitted very poor quality glass on my car after complaint changed and changed again as worst.

Then I called to customer service had another complaint took about 5 months and no one cared! Finally, they called me and gave me an £15 offer to send in bank card!

I mean this new Mercedes cost me a lot then they fitted a horrible quality glass which is blurry in edges. I’ve never seen a poor quality glass like this in my life.

I prefer to leave reviews this is the only way I can send my message and again, I strictly don’t recommend this company to anyone.

Absolutely Insane Pricing

Do not use Autoglass. They don't have a Trustpilot page, and that should be a huge red flag by itself (the company can have it taken down, but the only reason you'd do that is if it's a terrible, terrible company. Which it is.

I never got as far as actually having them do the shoddy work described in many of the reviews here because I was absolutely staggereed by the price quoted. For replacement glass on a 2015 Vivaro van, it was £880!!!

I already had a quote from Car Glass UK at £370 fully fitted and including VAT. When I asked them about why it was so expensive, they said it was 'special glass' – no further information given. I told them 'not to be rude, but your quote is insane'. They then offered to lower it to £550!!!

WHAT IS THIS BUSINESS?!

A Shockingly Bad Experience

A terrible experience.

This company is probably the worst windscreen replacement firm in the industry.

I have worked with cars in the past and run a workshop. So I have a fairly good understanding of the motor business.

Direct line asked me to contact them to replace the front windscreen or my Ioniq 5.

I visited them 4 times on separate occasions to rectify the mess they created and finally after 3 months of complaining and several hours lost from my work, I have the matter resolved.

They lack a proper process for handling complaints and whilst they give you the impression that they are handling matters, in reality their ultimate aim is to make maximum profit and 0 customer satisfaction.

When a company has no reception staff, and wants to replace your wiper blades when you don't need them, the desperation and sales tactics start to overshadow their true purpose.

In short, they fitted a replacement glass, made in China, on my car and kept trying to convince me nothing was wrong with it.

The glass or front windscreen was the cheapest windscreen you can buy from China. It was clear glass, not tinted. It has no anti glare and the heads-up display did not work well with it.

The workshop staff who fitted the glass constantly agreed that this was the inappropriate windscreen and one staff member even admitted that they had received complaints about this glass in the past.

After 4 visits to their fitting centres, where each time my wife and I were promised a replacement better equality windscreen, we finally got the original windscreen from Hyundai.

The windscreen from China costs Hyundai £50 to buy. The original windscreen costs £1200. Direct line would have paid Autoglass in excess of £2000 to replace and calibrate my cars windscreen.

Why then would they insist on fitting a £50 windscreen on my £50k car?

Don't use them. Insist on using other suppliers and fitters who I have found to be more transparent and honest.

Terrible Company.

After 3 attempts of getting glass for my Porsche 992 that wasn’t damaged on delivery. I’ve had a screen fitted that’s to small and scratched. Then to be told you could have OEM if you pay the difference. Why was I not offered this first hand. I am happy to pay rather than have a screen that doesn’t fit. When I complained I was then told we only do this if asked. But for those who have never experienced having a screen changed and expect the right screen make sure you ask. I would also say to be honest if the pattern glass fitted correctly I would have been happy. I now have to go through the hardship of trying to get my deposit back as I am paying for the dealer to fit the glass. To make matters worse I was asked to sign to rebook for another screen to be fitted and in fact they had got me to sign to say I was happy with the work carried out. So check what your signing as now they will be telling my insurance they have fitted the glass and want to claim on my insurance. They will probably refuse from commenting about getting me to sign the completion certificate but why would you sign to say you are happy when the screen is so bad. And if it’s not so bad why would they have started a replacement warranty screen after me signing the consent of being happy. It will be answered with you should let us have another go. But that will be the 4th screen. I’ve also been told they will be making a claim on my insurance for the badly fitted scratched screen.

Autoglass have not replied about the complaint other than to say they only fit like for like screens and they are the leading company blah blah blah. Look at the pics and decide for yourself

Tesla Windscreen Replacement

My Model 3 was booked in for a windscreen replacement. The confirmation email clearly stated that the car needed to have at least 100 miles of range which it did. Dropped the car off at the alloted time. About 2-4 hours later got a call saying that they couldn't do it because the car needed 50% battery. Why did it take so long to find that out and why did it not state that on the confirmation email. I went and collected the car and noticed a curbed wheel. They said they would look at their CCTV footage. They came back to me and said that on the footage the curbing was on the wheel when the car was left off. I never did see the footage.

Left the car back for its new appointment and they had the car for approx 5 hours. When I got home and turned the car off and the screen wasn't on I noticed that my screen protector had been damaged and obviously removed from the screen then put back badly , the bubbles in it would not come out . It had to be discarded . The car was also filthy with dirty finger prints and dust . I understand work can be dirty but at least try and make the car decent before handing it back.

I have been to Autoglass before and they were fine but the one in Duncrue, Belfast I found to be really bad. I will never use them again and never recommend them .

Terrible !

I am extremely dissatisfied with the level of service provided by Autoglass. Nearly 4 weeks from reporting the issue to getting a resolution. 2 failed appointments. Really poor communication. The branch and call centres giving mixed communication. The glass got fitted on 14/3/24 at depot. It was supposed to be at my home however technician told me it wouldn’t get done unless I brought it into depot after a mix up

Really poor. Will try and avoid using this company again
