CPS MOT Testing Station, Bradford on Avon

Lovely place to go if you want to get messed around. There will be a lot wrong with your car if you go here and it will cost a lot to ‘repair’

Took my car in today to have a bulb replaced. Quoted £5.Then told there appeared to be a problem with the wiring and to leave the car. On collection i was charged £72.

Joking to my friend is said we'll at least it was cheaper than her last visit which ended up costing her £360 after being quoted £36 for fitting a new belt that she had already purchased.

The joke being that her car had been working spot on prior to having the belt changed. On collecting her car and driving away it literally ground to a halt. After getting it back to CPS they said they alternator had gone. Hence £360 bill plus the £36 she had already paid.

Drove my car away today after taking it in for the bulb to be changed and guess what? 10 minutes after driving it from the garage. CAR TOTALLY DIED. Exactly what happened to my friends car after taking ithe there.

My car had been showing no lights on the dashow prior to being taken in today and had been driving perfecalypso with no problems at all. Exactly as my friends car had.

Sorry but strange this happened twice after being taken there for minor repairs and cars that were both driving perfectly prior to CPS supposedly fixing the small jobs.

Not recommended unless you want a hefty bill and a dead caright it seems.

I used this garage for my service and MOT this year and was quoted a list of repairs that needed doing for 700 pounds. Having little knowledge of cars I paid this amount. I later found out that a colleague used this garage and was similarly given a long list of repairs and quoted 900 pounds. My colleague sought a second opinion and ended up having all of their repairs done for 200 pounds at a different garage. I now feel that I very probably got ripped off with the 700 pounds that I was charged, and I will not be using this garage again. Whilst I don't have concrete evidence that they did charge me far more than required, I am very dubious, and feel that they easily could have preyed on my lack of car knowledge! Be very wary of this garage if you do not know much about cars like me!

I have used this garage a few times now over the years, but never again.

I have had to take the car back to have the window repaired properly, but to be honest is still not correct.

Had a fuel leak coming from one of the injectors.

Rung me back and said it would be over £500 because I needed a new injector.

I asked to have the old one back but was informed it was an exchange only item????

After about an hour I received a call saying "funnily" enough it was just one of the seals at over £200.

Had a nail in the rear tyre and asked them to repair it.

Discovered at the next Mot that they didn't!!

MOT test. Yes you have guessed, wheel bearings, oil leak. Power steering ram apparently leaking.........

All to do with the original leaking fuel injector seal.

Also stated front discs worn. Well, they are always worn when they have beed used. I complained about that and they removed this from the advisory.

OIL Leak- well, well well, it is an oil leak i.e diesel from the leaking injector!!

Changed the wheel bearings and to be honest there was nothing wrong with them, but having purchased the new parts and had it in pieces replaced them anyway.

Having a new cam belt change at a very "reliable garage" who informed me of the injector seal problem as fumes were coming into the car. It required all four to be reground and done properly.

Having all four injector seals done PROPERLY.

Complained and no offer of an apology, no offer to get it fixed, (not that I would have used them anyway) no offer of any good will gesture etc.

Yep I am and will never take any of our vehicles to them ever again.

Please be very aware of shoddy workmanship and poor customer service.

I took my car for an mot here, as they were able to fit me in quickly. The car failed with a huge amount of expensive work required. Cps could also do this quickly. I sought a 2nd opinion which proved otherwise. Clearly there's a reason why so cheap and quick at cps.

Over the Telephone when making some enquiries on some pricing they were most un-helpful and reluctant to offer any competitive prices. The MOT for £25 would appear to be the the only competitive service they offer (provided they don't find any extras)

I went to CPS to have my Citroen Saxo serviced last week and I have to say they gave me the best customer service.

I have to admit I didn't realise that CPS stood for Citroen and Peugeot Specialists, but was pleased that they were experts workin gon my car!

They were most amenable when it came to timeslots and I got my car in when it suited me.

So a big thankyou to the guys at CPS, you made me feel at ease with the whole process.

After telephoning a couple of garages from the local papers and not being able to get an MOT within 2 days, I decided to give CPS in Bradford on Avon a call.

They managed to fit me in the same day and even offered me a courtesy car.

The friendly guys there sorted me right out and offered me a discount if I came back for a service!

I'll definatley be going back there again!

I needed a MOT in Bradford on avon for my car and I was shopping aroung for a MOT Garage to use. I had seen a lot of advertising for CPS the Citroen and Peugeot Specialists, and as I have a citroen, it seemed the logical choice.

The guys at CPS fitted me in for an MOT almost straight away and I was back driving again shortly afterwards.

I would definatley recommend CPS for MOT's and Garage Services.
