First Time Customer
I recently took my car into Formula One in Bedford to have the engine belts changed. From start to finish I was very impressed by the level of work carried out and the excellent customer service. Friendly helpful staff and excellent prices, I will have no hesitation in going there again.
Customer Service Sucks!
I was booking a slop online for an MOT with them, when I realised I had to make a payment onlineI was booking a slop online for an MOT with them, when I realised I had to make a payment online but I am thinking I may need a some work done on the car so price would not be the same. I decided to called F1, Bedford, this morning to help me make the booking. The person that answered the phone WAS RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL because he got flustered by the questions I was asking.. so his way of dealing with something he didn't know how to answer?? HANGING UP THE PHONE ON CLIENTS THAT HAVE BEEN LOYAL FOR YEARS! I have been using them for a long time to service both of my cars but this service today made me realise that my money it's better spent elsewhere! IF YOU DONT HAVE THE PATIENCE TO SPEAK TO YOUR CUSTOMERS HIRE A RECEPTIONIST but I am
Shocks Shock
Took my daughters car for mot failed on rear shock,had the work done when we went to pick up car after they had it for a full day was told they had to get mot guy to check it,so we picked it up next morning i followed my daughter half way home about a mile as she had to go dome where she got home 20 after me said dad cars knocking badly i had a look,the shocks were not fitted correctly a good mechanic would of took 1hr at nost had to return it and hzve it corrected,the xar was in a right mess sll thd cds chucked everywhere wherl braces in boot all taken out spare wheel nut not put back all because the guy couldnt find locking wheel nut which was in the pass side door panel,sfter using this place for the last 10 yrs for repairs and mots very bad service will think twice next time

Great Service, Went Out Of Their Way To Help!
Had to find a tyre repair garage after coming out of swimming with the family only to find our rear tyre nearly flat. Spotted on reinflating that the valve had perished and was shot. Went to kwikfit to see if they could help and they couldn't have been more unhelpful. Even when I ask if they could just help me jack the car up while I change to our spare myself I was told this would take over an hour!
Luckily whilst limping back with our still knackered tyre on we happened across F1autocentre in Bedford. Greeted by the person I dealt with and his team he said they could sort it in 15 mins. The car was in the workshop in 10 mins and with our twins pressed against the window the offending valve was removed and replaced in quick time and when I went to pay it was a fraction of what I thought I was going to have to pay, so much so that I even had to ask "how much" a second time. Many thanks for the great service, keep up the good work.
They Couldn't Care Less If They Tried !
ordered 2 tyres from them, they failed to ring me to tell me they had arrived , I rang them 3 times over a week ,was put on hold straight away without even speaking . Very poor customer service . Was promised if ordered that day will be fitted next day. A week later was still waiting, so went elsewhere
Extremely Badly Managed
I first went in 1999 with an 1989 Metro. They had a £49 MoT and service offer. I was telephoned with a £600 repair bill. I asked them to MoT it anyway and I'll do the work myself. Strangely, when I collected it it had been issued with a new MoT and no advisories. They had smeared the seats with grease and treated me like a war criminal. After compaining, i was issued with a service voucher for £50 and a free valet. I vowed I'd never go back.

However, I accidentally used them as a Black Circle fitting centre. I stood for at least 20 minutes waiting to be served, having to listen to swearing and agression from the manager (Malcom, I believe) Staff walking about at the speed of tectonic plates, barely moving and customers ignored. Something is terribly wrong with this place. Compare it to STS or Orbit Tyres in Rushden - the contrast is truly shocking. I suspect morale caused by poor wages and even worse management are the issues.
Don't bother. The problem is that by the time you read this it will be too late.

Terrible Experience
Today written directly to CEO of company to complain but a word of warning here as well......
Manager has serious attitude problem - rude and disrespectful Zero customer communication skills and acts as though he is doing you a favour by serving you . Told me I had ordered front wheel alignment on internet order when I hadn't ( have paperwork to prove it ) - tyres were going on rear . Tried charging me extra £30 and showed dissent when I declined. I am a senior gent and have been buying tyres for over 40 years .
They are not as cheap as advertised and rely on up selling extras ...... BE WARNED.
There location is out of the way and really not worth the hassle !
Plenty of local and much better tyre fitters in Bedford.

Web site when booked did not indicate £20 oil updrade. Difference between
Master Service and Short Service not explained that well - Master service seems you pay just for them to pick up issues. For Diesel cars I would expect the Master Service to include a fuel filter change and the oil change is the biggest feature. Not a bad price but not exceptional. Should have got a better deal really.

I would never use Formula One Autocentres again, I bought two pirelli top of the range tyres in February 2012 which included balance and tracking at a cost of over £170.00 now 5 months later and only 6000 miles both tyres are totally bald on the inside you can see the thread. When I called Formula One they were not intrested and told me I should have gone back to get them checked! I should'nt have to go back they should do the job properly in the first place!!!!!So now they do not want to know and Im left with a car I cannot use as its totally illegal. Thanks very much Formula One.
