Aircon Regas Mercedes C180
I had re-gassed Air-Con in my Mercedes C180 at Erdington Centre, Birmingham last month, it took in excess of 1hour to re-gas it, Aircon is still having problem, it doesn't revert to climate control when air-con is turned off. I took it back to the Erdington center, Manger/Mechanic fobbed me off telling me it works ok. So I wont recommend anybody to go to this Centre.

Rip Off
Absolutely terrible and expensive service. Took my Renault with snapped engine mount bolt and exhaust mount.
They wanted £200 to take the broken bolt out of the mount hole, claiming it would take 4 hours labour (at £50 per hour). I went to ScrewFix bought a bolt extractor kit for £3.99. Put the car on the Jack and it took me less than 3 minutes to extract and replace the broken bolt! Never going to formula 1 again! also replaced the exhaust mount (Total Cost £3.99 + £19.99(mount)and 10 minutes labour! and they wanted £250 for that....

Paid For A Full Annual Service. Checked The Oil Co
Paid for a full annual service. Checked the oil colour before going in, was black. After the service I checked the oil again, and it was still black. Golden new oil doesn't go black in the few miles it takes to drive home. They charged me for an oil and filter change as part of the service, it was specified on the receipt, and ticked on the service book, but the F1 Autocentre in Erdington Birmingham clearly ripped me off. Over a hundred pounds for a service and nothing was done. Will NEVER GO BACK
Rip Off On Some Services
I read these reviews but I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt. They may have staff there which are good at their job behind the scene and some of their prices are competitive but their staff at the front desk are rude and need some training, customer service training more like it. They try and rip you off on the services they charge. After an assessment from another dealer which found the same issues that they found. Ok good sign they know what there doing but I was told the replacements I needed was not needed and all was ok. Sadly I was just disappointed, I thought that you could trust them and not be over charged. Luckily I knew how much some services cost before hand and went somewhere else. I wouldn't use them again just due to the dishonestly of try to make me think I was getting a good deal.

Fixed One Problem And Caused Another
My car was booked in for new n/s cv boot and tracking and to investigate nose coming from n/s wheel. Phoned me 2 hours later cv boot fitted and tracking done no nose found probably due to split in cv boot. Went to pick up found car on forecourt driver window fully down had phone candle on dashboard sat nav in glove box want inside paid bill mentioned window left fully opened they said sorry. Got in car warning light buzzer going off check brake pad on display. Walked back in thinking they forget to connect brake sensor plug. Car want on ramp. After 1 hour or more faulty brake sensor plug. I asked why was it faulty said wire loose from plug needs new plug they said if I bring new plug they will fit it on free of charge. I said the wire was pulled on causing it to loosed from plug meaning it was there fault ie the person who changed cv boot. Oh no they said the car was driven in to the garage with this fault already!!. I disputed this if the fault was there already I would of said checked this fault at same time you fixed cv boot. Also if the fault was there before It's your job to inform me that the brake light was on. You didn't, in fact you were happy for me to take my away knowing there was a fault with braking system. I could tell the person who fixed my car was lying though his teeth saying fault was there before. I have made a complaint with head office today. P's been using Erdington branch for over 6 years no problems except one which was dealt with quick. Notice new staff members old staff were a lot better also prices seem to be high now as well. Outer cv boot with tracking £124 for ford galaxy seem high

Will Not Use Again
Wife took her motor there for the MOT. She was alone. Their estimate for the works required to get it through the MOT was just short of £500. I thought their quote was unrealistic so I took it to another garage. I have since decided that the people at Formula One in Erdington saw a lone female customer as a chance to make extra money. That's just my opinion of course, but we will never go back there again.

Frustrated, Annoyed And Carless
This garage is possibly the worst I have ever come across. We had to take our car as we broke down on the way home from work and were towed there by the AA. After 3 days of constant phone calls and no acceptable answers we were told that they now have to wait for a part. 3 days later, still no part so still no car. No customer service calls to us to keep us updated, not once have they rung us. We are made to feel like we are pestering them when all we want is news of our car as we are both having to pay for taxis to work. I will never recommend this bunch of idiots to anyone and will certainly never use them again.

I Went To The One On Kingsbury Road Recently For A
i went to the one on kingsbury road recently for a service. my car is 9years old and i have had it 2 years. they found a few extra problems with it as expected, which included a new exhaust and they wanted almost £500 for the lot. i had the work done but not long after i left, a light came on the dash which meant there was a problem, with emissions. i had no problem like that the whole time i had the car. it was not there before i took the car to them and when i took it back, they said i needed a new sensor which is around £80 apparently and the problem was not their doing and it must've been a coincidence the problem occurring. make of that what you will

F1 Autocentre Review - On Monday I Went To The F1
F1 Autocentre Review - On Monday I went to the F1 Autocentre on the Kingsbury Road in Erdington, Birmingham.
I had expected to have the front wheels balanced and maybe the tracking checked. It turned out that I had to spend £250 with replacement tyres, which I had not expected. Hopefully, they will serve me well during the coming years; I only drive about 8,000 miles a year or maybe less.
The reason for my review is to say that I was not able to afford to give a tip because I spent much more than I had expected.
However, I would like to say that I found the young manager and the fitter splendid in the way they treated me and undertook the work; they were pleasant, courteous and efficient.
I have been to the centre on a number of occasions for various work and MOT's and on each visit I have always been treated well. So thank you for employing such good people
