Unless your insurance company is paying, consider another accident repair company that won't charge you, to charge you! That's right, charge you to tell you what they will charge you! £36.00 for a quote!
There's clearly an issue with their quotes if the only way they can hold you is to charge for a quote!

Worst Dealer Ever
Got a 2yr old fiesta from john grose ipswich. Had some light scratches on paintwork ,salesman said would be fixed. When i collected the car it was covered in deep swirl marks caused by untrained staff using power polisher. Cant decide if i can trust them to correct it . Could end up making it worse. Dont want to end up with a respray. Terrible trade in prices could have got £900 more from we buy any car.com. Puncture repair kit not complete, pump missing. Driver seat belt faulty. Now gearbox is giving problems. Would never use this dealer again. Bad cars, bad deals, bad service.

Worst Customer Service Ever
These people have no respect for potential customers. My wife booked a test drive for Sunday morning and told them she would bring her Drivers Licence with her. We drove 20 miles and were only 5 minutes away when we received a phone call telling us she needs to provide a National Insurance Number before she can test drive the car. We explained that we were almost there and offered other alternative proof of identity but this was declined. Is this their normal policy ?, if so why were we not told at time of booking. Do they get lots of illegals in Ipswich ?
My wife and I have both driven for over 50 years, purchased over 20 cars and probably test driven around 80 in this time and have NEVER been asked for our National Insurance numbers.
We finally went, No NI number asked for did not even accompany us on test drive ( After sending 10 minutes going through the basic features of car ).
We bought a GT LINE PREMIUM 1.6 THP 165EAT6 IN Pearlescent White .That's a £30,000 sale you lost .
Thank you for your recent review. I am sorry that your experience with us was less than satisfactory, I fully accept that you should have been made aware before leaving for a test drive with us that we needed a national insurance number, therefore inconveniencing you – sorry. However, the request itself was not unreasonable and this is due in part to DVLA changes that happened back in 2015 when the licence counterpart was abolished, and most Insurance companies insisting on a robust licence check process through the Uk.gov website which shares driving licence details. Apologies once again for the experience, and can I reiterate the offer made during our telephone conversation of bringing a car to you to test drive.
New Van Purchase
Purchased a Ford Transit Connect Trend Van Brand New from John Grose Ipswich.
Long story short, the van came with black steels and not silver, however the Trend does come with wheel trims, i didn't want these fitted and was under the impression as nothing contradicted this that my new van would come with silver steels, i therefore asked for them to be sprayed silver and received a quote for this, basically i went two's on the quote with the dealer.
If i could show you a picture of the wheels you'd be shocked, the silver looks ok but the lacquer hasn't been applied evenly and has been over applied on some of the wheels leaving huge run marks that on one wheel nearly covers the circumference of the wheel!!
All four wheels have lacquer runs on them with some very much worse than others, thanks John Grose Ipswich Accident And Repair Centre, appalling job, there was obviously no quality control carried out on my wheels whatsoever.
Nothing else i can say except John Grose Ipswich Sales And Accident Repair Centre obviously think it's acceptable to place such poorly prepared wheels on a brand new motor, hopefully they'll get sorted out and maybe the Accident and Repair staff are pushed beyond they're limits, who knows?
Whatever the case it still isn't acceptable, so this review is to let you know that in all reality they'll let you walk off the fore court with sub standard goods, customer care and satisfaction is not a top priority with these two companies..Clearly!!

Disinterested
Popped along to get a quote for a new driver's door and was surprised at how disinterested the assessor was, plus he told me it'd be £30 to get an estimate. Very strange way to try and get business.

Diss Grose Excellent Don't Bother With The Others At Ipswich
We decided to buy new fords in our household, and due to the modern nature of internet quotations decided to go to where ever was doing the cheapest deal (via car wow). This appeared to be in London and did not phase us to deal with them. However when asking a simple question online, we were connected to the excellent team of Diss salesmen. They did a fantastic job, and managed to provide an excellent offer, and were concise and straight to the point. I have to point out that when deciding to buy Ford cars we did visit the other Grose dealerships at Ipswich, Framlingham, and Lowestoft. This was a close call, as none of these other dealerships would have got our custom. I will explain. Ipswich - The ransoms park sales 'team' seems to be operated by a pack of testosterone fuelled kids, who will tell you anything for a sale. In our instance they definitely lied regarding damage to one new vehicle, which wouldn't have mattered, its understandable new vehicles pick up the odd scratch/dent that need to be removed before sales, its just that it was one lie after another. And once we had seen what was going on, it was more apparent not to trust these people.Quotes would vary based on how close each salesman was to his target, or whatever they felt you could afford. Lowestoft - Seemed ok, but they imagine they are far enough away from a city not to give any reasonable discount. I honestly had them saying there was not another penny they could save on a deal when they were OVER £2000 dearer than the best price quoted we had elsewhere on factory order cars. Framlingham - Sales team very hit and miss. To be fair they did provide a test drive that no other local dealer could, but the salesman was very ill informed, and on the return visit, was very off hand.At the time Hammonds (Halesworth) were £500 dearer but would have had the sale based on how this made us feel.(The hammonds sales team are good and on a parr with the Grose Diss salesman)

Appalling Service And Information
I have a 2014 lease Fiesta van (64 plates) to which I needed to fit roof bars. I phoned John Grose to see if they had one, including all information about the vehicle. They said they had one on the shelf. When I visited the branch to buy it the box was clearly a return and had holes in it but the parts staff member, who I made sure was the same person I spoke to on the phone, assured me everything was in the box. I got a staff member from service to check it was definitely correct. He said he didn't know and didn't know how to fit it. I bought it anyway, as the parts person assured me it was correct.
When I got it home and tried to fit it there were no instructions and parts appeared to be missing. I phoned to ask about this and was told I needed to return to get the instructions. I returned to be told I should have come in earlier in the day (I've no idea why) and that the staff member was as clueless as me (he then said he thought this may have been rude- no kidding!). Purely coincidentally as I was trying to sort this out another staff member approached me in the car park and advised there are no roof bars for my van. I found this surprising. When I advised the parts staff member of this he didn't say anything, despite the fact that I'd phoned twice and I'd advised him I'd driven 60 miles to visit the branch twice. No-one apologised to me or offered any explanation at any point.
I would have complained in the branch but after this experience I thought it would be a complete waste of time.

Salespeople That Just Ignore You !!
I initially contacted John Grose through the live chat function on their website. After a brief chat and giving them my name and number, I was contacted a few hours later by a salesman who took additional details of my request and promised to e-mail me some quotes.
4 days have now passed and I have received nothing, not even a follow up call. I was always under the impression that a salesman's job was to sell you something. I can only assume that selling a Ford Fiesta Studio on a PCP deal was beneath this guy and simply not worth the commission.
Not sure where these positive reviews are coming from for this company, but glad I found out before I parted with my cash......Beware !!

New Van Purchase
Van has very poor paintwork, when picked up & was empty on fuel, 12 miles to empty.
Phone system doesn't work with iphone 5 properly.
Have been given the run around for 4 weeks since new now . Grose constantly hiding behind the fact it's a van so finish is acceptable . Apparently it's within !Ford Standard,. They have agreed to reprint parts bugtwon't guarantee them!!
I haven't even been offered a courtesy car while it's being fixed
Pre delivery inspection would have found faults!,,,
I have complained that the part of the phone system not too good and they have ignored it.
Never have I been so unhappy with a dealer and I've bought many new vehicles.
They are all coffee and charm when you buy then not interested when there's nothing in it for them
I always thought Ford were reasonable product reasonable money but this van is Transit Custom made abroad with we don't care less labels hanging from all sides
DONT buy from john grose.
Would Never Use Again...
My Audi went in for a very small insurance job and it took 2 1/2 weeks to get done with them having my vehicle for all of this time! Before this I had my car booked in for a certain date and at 4pm the day before I received a message to say that they had no loan vehicle so pushed back by 2 weeks. I chased for an update on my car twice and had no apology for the delay. Finally picked up my car today and job was ok but customer service wasn't great oh and a side window that they replaced was left in the boot... Overall I would not use them again.
