Turned Up To View A Car I Had Seen On Autotrader.

turned up to view a car i had seen on autotrader. car was in a right state. i had to point out about 6 faults that would have to be put right if i bought it. i was told that all those jobs would have been done anyway.whilst on test run it cut out and after inspection was told it was the glow plugs. even my wife knew that glow plugs only start the car and then they are pretty redundant. like an idiot i had left 100 pounds holding deposit which i was told is refundable if i dont buy the car.the salesman told me there was a 3 month warranty with the car covered by their own garage as i wouldnt want a third part warranty because they are a nightmare. oops. their service manager then told me it was in fact a third party warranty. i decided to leave this car as there was too many alarm bells ringing and the salesman said (what do you want from a used car). i was told i would be sent a cheque for the 100 pounds but what a shock, nothing has arrived. i think it is only a matter of time before these idiots are on a well known tv programme, avoid like the plague. i got a car a week later from a main dealer and i got the same car, tha same price with excellent service.

Heya these people have completely ripped me off and some how get google to take down bad reviews. I hope we can save a few people from this company.

Horrendous

After seeing a car advertised on Autotrader / their Website, I put a deposit down over the phone as the garage is 200 miles away from where we live.

On getting there, the car was an absolute disgrace. There were scratches all down one side, dents, scrapes and a smashed bumper on the other side.

The inside was disgustingly dirty and various parts of the trim were falling off.

After travelling all this way I was seriously unimpressed, and the salesman couldn't care less either because "while he is standing talking to us, he is not selling cars...."

Apparently they sell a lot of cars per week between 8 salesman... I quickly did the maths and replied back that was only 1 car per day each... so that is certainly no excuse.

As of today (7 days after we visited), I am still waiting for the deposit to be returned.

Luckily I took pictures of the car when we arrived and also have the images from the website. I also paid this on a VISA card so have the option of going down this route to get my money back.

From the overall impressions that I get, it seems like they buy cars from auctions and flog them on with little / no work.

Over the phone and on first impressions they look like a professional car sales company, but scratch the surface and you soon learn otherwise.

This is the only site ive seen with real reviews hope we can stop them tricking more of the publics money because il tell you now trading standards wer next to useless

Worst Car Company Ever

The most terrible car company I have ever been to! Drove 4 hours for a car that has been nothing but trouble. i was late turning up due to an accident on the motor way and they kept ringing me then when I was there they kept talking about the night out and was obvious the couldnt wait for us to leave! I companied about my car 2 days after buying it and 6 months on it still isn't sorted! Denying they have even spoken to me! Customer service is shocking and I DO NOT recommended at all!

Bunch Of Scurvy Knaves

Used them twice. Was suspicious the first time but gave them the benefit of the doubt. The second time there was no doubt, they charged me for work that was neither required, and indeed hadn't even been done! Once my car was in for a service and M.O.T they called with an expensive list of work that needed doing. I agreed as I needed my car for work. However, I subsequently discovered for certain the work had not even been carried out. In retrospect, I should have pursued the matter through legal means. But lessons learned; instead, I will simply never use this company again, neither would I recommend them.

Terrible Servicing,terrible Company.

Three weeks ago I booked my van for a service B, which should have included inspection of front and rear breaks and cleaning of rear drums

so I was told by prestige, therefore I booked it and was quoted £180.00 including filters. I was also promised that no payment would be made until I was absolutely happy with the service, that was not true prestige demanded I paid the full amount or else my van would not be brought back home, after much pissing around they finally decided to bring it back, I spoke to the garage they had taken it to and the garage confirmed that the van had only been booked for

an oil change and filter change. They also charged me and extra £50.00 for change of brake fluid. Don't even bother using them, use your local garage and you'll be better off. LOUSY AND DISHONEST

Upset And Disappointed

I have used Prestige for several years. I trusted them. I am a female who knows nothing about cars. I was going through paperwork looking up details for something and realised that my service costs were hugely different each time I had seen them (5 times) and the same service had been continually repeated. Now I'm sure an oil change and service may have been all that was needed, but to have variations of nearly £80 each time is ridiculous. Unsurprisingly, January was my most expensive bill!

Additionally, through completing minor work on my car they have managed to break two parts of my car, not put the car back together properly and worst of all, they've not told me! They just left me to notice on my own.

I'm very disappointed and upset by this as I put so much trust in them. I would not recommend them but if you decide to, use with caution.

Simply Rubbish Time Wasters

Their sole purpose is to get as much as they can. Their stories keep changing. Very unprofessional. No breakdown of work parts or labour.

I was initially promised that the car will be fixed in 2 days but eventually took 2 weeks. False excuses like parts ; delivery ; dealer unavailibity.

On threatening them for action, the car was dramatically fixed in 24hours through main dealer next day at end of week 2.

Eventually found out that the main dealer could have done the job much quicker.

Unhelpful, unreliable. Stay away.
