Gsx1400 K7 Fe

The bike is a rocket for its size and weight acceleration 0-60 in 3s. handles and corners well,

good seating position and the pillion seat is really good.

top end is an impressive 160 mph,I have fitted a screen to mine it stops the wind buffering at high speed,

i can get 50 mpg if i take it easy but generally 43 mpg.

riding around town can be challenging 2 up but single is ok.

the engine is bullet proof with no issues.

I have had mine for 4 years love the bike and consider it one of if not the best bike i have ever had, and i have had 30 bikes.

the torque is massive you can ride at 20 mph in top and just accelerate with out changing down, highly recommended but not for the fainthearted.

Suzuki Gsx 1400 K2

bought one for 500.of a friend. Spent a week pulling it apart.

rode it 60 miles sold to we buy bike wrong fool must look for another one

found one a cat [c] [ins] lose,

2016/2017.28/2. hi have had the bike over a year now i did strip down to the bone .as last owner rode it like as if it cleaned it self but a bike like this is for riding.it pulls like a train. Now a lot of you will not no much about the sx1100.this is 1/2 ton of steel. And it will pull your arms out of your sockets. yet the GSX 1400 is some thing not many can talk about owning one, but the ones that have owned one can tell you a story of

a motorbike that as some thing others do not have. They like the gas

i have KAW/GT550.with a full fairing .i can sit at 70 all day.

the GSX 1400 no you could not. But the bike just gives you a shiver just thinking about the GSX1400 its mad but its true,at 63 built so meny bikes. But this one takes the tea and biscuit .cool bike. a true story

Naked Thrills....suzuki Gsx 1400

I have owned 2 of these beasts over the past 12 years. The first a K1 and the latter a K4. Apart from the paintwork not much to tell them apart.

Make no mistake, its a big bike. Looks awesome in the flesh and that engine takes centre stage. It will out accelerate almost anything from a standing start and is most probably the torquiest motor I have ever ridden. For only 106 BHP (at the crank) the torque curve is very steep thanks mainly to the 1400 ccs and it is a ballistic missile - until it runs out of usable power that is. It has a short power band that lasts for 1500 or 2000 rpm somewhere between the 2500 and 4500 rpm marks. Don't get me wrong this thing has so much grunt that you could stay in 6th gear all day, but the real fun can only be found within a small area of engine performance. It could easily do with a 7th or 8th gear or a completely different set of gear ratios entirely. I love em.

The Suzuki finish is not as good as some and the winter weather will take an effect on the headers and frontal area of the engine block if not regularly cleaned. It is, however, a great 2 up touring bike despite the lack of fairing and there is 11 litres of luggage space under the seat. The only real headache that I have found with this bike (both the K1 and the K4) is the suspension at both ends. It is not firm enough and no matter what setting you might prefer it really does struggle with the weight especially when ploughing into bends a little too hot. This is not a bike for an inexperienced rider it takes some muscling and it does remind me of some of the old jap 4s that I rode in the 80s. Fun and fear at the same time only its a lot better and more predictable. I don't currently own one at the moment, but I will definitely have another.

What's It For?

It's insane, it's a blast, it's beautiful but it's ultimately pointless.

I ride all year round and have more than one bike in the garage. Each bike fills a purpose, it meets a need. Some meet more than one or two.

The Suzuki was obtained when I chopped in another bike. I loved the look of it and had always hankered for an old-school Suzuki back in the day but I was restricted to a 125 when I failed to take my test on my 250.

It accelerates like a missile.

And there's the problem: I'd never had a single point on my license until this machine arrived. It is so poorly fueled that it is Hell to ride around town. Despite carrying it's weight brilliantly, all low and a low seat, it can't pootle without riding the clutch. My left hand kills me after half an hour of this.

And so it will go and be replaced by something which can commute or tour or greenlane or something other than just looking brilliant and bursting through the countryside at 146mph.
