Purrrfection On 2-wheels
I have 13 years riding experience under my belt and have owned 12 600-1200cc bikes including a GSX-R750 K5 which was an excellent bike.
I recently picked up a cheap (£1800) K3 GSX-R600 for my wife to ride when I'm using one of my other bikes and was surprised to find it's every bit as good at the K5 model. OK it doesn't have the outright mid-range punch of the 750 but does have the same confidence inspiring road manners and has plenty of pace for the road.
I wholeheartedly recommend this bike for anyone at lower rev range it's newbie friendly and can be ridden safely by anyone. But from 8K to the red line it'll thrill and reward fast, smooth riders.

I've Had This Suzuki Gsxr600 K1 Bike From It Being
I've had this Suzuki GSXR600 K1 bike from it being 3 years old with 8,000 miles on it. It delivers more than it promises, the harder you ride her the better she is, 100% reliable, cheap spares, looks better than newer models, it may not be as muted & user friendly right out of the box as a CBR for a novice rider, but thats because its a raw performance machine and once you learn that to get the best from it you must commit to ride it hard in the bends (with good tyres that suit you, diablo corsa's are a favourite for the model but i found them too twitchy, much prefure the bridgestone 020) then its a real scream.............ride one, you'll never go back!!!

Id Just Like To Say Guys That My Suzuki K1 Gsxr 60
id just like to say guys that my Suzuki k1 gsxr 600 is the most fun iv personally ever had. yes its my first sports bike but really this nonsence that you need the big 1000 cc bikes to keep up is rubbish. if you are confident with it round corners then you will keep up with the best of them as long as you keep it revving. plus it really looks the part as well.

After Riding My Faithful Old 1988 Kawasaki Gt550 F
After riding my faithful old 1988 Kawasaki GT550 for the last 15 years, I sold it in Feb 2009 and bought a Suzuki GSXR600 K1 that had been very well kept and only had 27,000kms on the odometer. On my first test ride, I was not used to the very responsive throttle and was a bit clunky on my gear changes and it took a little bit to get used to having such good brakes, but I quickly fell in love with it and decided that very day to buy it. I have not regretted it one bit. I agree with everyone who says that riding this model of bike keeps a huge grin on one's face. It is quick when you want it to be, but very forgiving and controllable. It also achieves great fuel economy if you don't cane it too much. I'd have no hesitation in recommending this model bike. It is still a head-turner despite being 8 years old.

The Suzuki Gsxr600 K1 Is Comfy, Easy To Ride, Very
The Suzuki GSXR600 K1 is comfy, easy to ride, very forgiving, reliable, easy to maintain, looks, exhaust note [even from the standard can], can be used on both road & track without any modification, great for long distance touring, good storage capacity in tail section, a seemingly endless supply of after market goodies, huge grin after each ride.
Bad points, standard screen, feeble horn, type of bolts used to retain exhaust onto cylinder head, not able to convert speedometer from mph to to kph for continental touring.
at 600cc it may be the smallest in the range but you get a large package for your money. it never fails to please me whether i'm riding or just looking at it! the gixer is a fantastic machine. throttle response is very good and precise, as are the brakes. engine power and delivery are good, handling is excellent even for someone like me who's now into middle age with a back problem, i can happily ride all day with no discomfort. if your thinking of buying one i would thoroughly recommend it.

Well I Was A Little Dissapointed To Be Honest, I W
Well i was a little dissapointed to be honest, i was expecting this 600 to rip my arms out of their sockets however after riding my nc30 the Suzuki gsxr 600 k1 seems not that much faster and also the brakes on the gsxr are not as good as my nc30 but the most upsetting thing is my nc30 outhandles my gsxr hands down. The gsxr runs very well when accelerating but hates going slow and see saws at lower speeds very annoying, all in all wish it had better tyres the pirelli super corsa tyres although nearly new are not good to say the least they fail to live up to an old set of bt090's on my nc30. So all in all a brand new nc30 would be ideal and i think the gsxr 600 k1 is not a patch on the nc30.
howzit, ive had my k1 for a few months now and the biggest problems i found is she doesnt like riding slow at all.shes really quick but you have to hammer her through all the gears an keep the revs high otherwise she seems abit sluggish at 4 5 and 6 if not at high rev,she does sit really nice through the bends.my buddy has the 2003 ninja zx9 an we sit together to about 240 250 then he runs away but in the corners he cant catch me.considering puting on a power commonder what are your guys thoughts?
Never seen such a miserable review! Don't do it mate... don't drive her into a brick wall to end it all! Life is worth having!
Second thoughts, drive something into a brick wall but let me have your K1 first, I've a srad and am very happy with it! Agree the power delivery is very smooth though, you don't get that power band lurch you do on some bikes, but I find that helps to put the power down with confidence - I'm constantly lifting the wheels in corners.
Bear with it mate!

Good Points? Pretty Much Everything. Power Is Ever
Good points? Pretty much everything. Power is everywhere, good gear ratios for riding in built up areas - can be ridden in 3rd pretty much anywhere. Breathtaking acceleration -throttle is quite responsive, but could be sharper. Handling was much better than I'd expected (I use Dunlop 207s), especially given it's width, there is rarely need to shift your weight on the bike (not that I weigh a lot anyway). Smooth gearbox, reasonable engine braking, front brake seems most effective above 40mph.
Brilliant all round bike, as far as I can tell. Although I'm not the most exprienced rider (just 2 1/2 years), the GSXR is very confidence inspiring giving good feel for it's limits, especially in the wet. The sound it makes (even with a standard exhaust) never fails to bring a smile.

Good All Rounder, Very Comfortable. I Have Ridden
Good all rounder, very comfortable. I have ridden mine for 4 hours non stop and I felt fine when I got off which is more that I can say for the R6. I will be stepping up to the 1000cc when I can afford the insurance if its anything like the 600.
