Brilliant Machine

This is one of the best bikes i have ever owned and ridden. Awesome power, smooth, and always responsive. It is a bike that i want to be on even though i have three other different machines to choose from. Got to be a real future classic . Looks good feels good and by God it is good. Heavy on fuel but there are no free lunches in life. If you want power you have to pay for it. An eye turner if ever there was one.Great shape and still looks good. I dont think i would change it for many modern bikes.

Exup Ru

i am on my third one,so yes i love the bikes.love the way they look ( classic red/white speed block) the way they go/stop and handle in that classic heavy but stable yamaha 90,s fashion.they never need more power, only better brakes ( r1 blue spots) and decent sticky tyres and away you go,able to walk after a 200 mile ride.get one if you can, keep and enjoy.

Red And White 1990 Yamaha Fzr1000exup

I have ridden bikes for 40 yrs,i have owned good super bikes in the past, but this fzr1000exup is something else!!!.

I have just bought this bike for £600.00,its got new diablos on,stainless uppers and collector box and a yoshi end can.

she done 30k from new and its verified with mots and service history.

I have just spent £400.00 on genuine yamaha parts, which include a good second hand exup exhaust valve unit.

the bike is in original block red and white design roberts paint.

I BUY IN GOOD BIKES TO RAISE TO CONCORD SHOW CONDITION.

If your interested in a mint fzr1000exup for your collection, please contact me on [email protected].

the price will not be a bargain price, but the owner will get a show bike which has been sorted from the ground up to new specification.

Well So Far My Thoughts On This Bike Are Very Good

Well so far my thoughts on this bike are very good indeed. The power come on very well, more than I could ever use on our English roads. That said a quick blat on the motorway slip roads and uninterrupted A roads see 120mph come up devastatingly quick. 145bhp claimed from the factory but more like 115-130 in reality. Keep the EXUP valve in place for full use of the power throughout. I bought mine for £1000.00, it needed a small amount of TLC but for that money I can easily blow away any car on the road and lots of bike for that matter! Set both shocks up and make the most of its handling, refurb them if you need to, it IS worth it. Wanna embarrass the new breed? Get an FZR1000... Great bike.

Man, This Is One Awesome Bike! The Fzr 1000 Exup I

Man, this is one awesome bike! The FZR 1000 EXUP is my first superbike, before, GS1000G, CB750, GS550 and a couple of off roads. Being my first superbike, i was a bit scarred in the beginning but got on quite well. This bike is all i need. It has so much power that i sometimes get scares on it and have to slow down (ive seen 275 km/ph on it). It realy stays with the newer bikes and also beat some of them!! I bought it for R20 000.00 from a good friend and only problem ive had was a small oil leak which was fixed easily. I use it only for fun, but Fun with a capital letter!! I enjoy every moment on it and recommend anyone to buy one - even if its an old bike, it is still worth it!! Come on all you guys with the new expensive crotch rockets - take on an FZR 1000 and see what happens!!

Put 600 k on it first 2 days of ownership. will put another 1000 on this weekend to get it home. RED white and black model.. complete with Yoshi slip on and dyna jet kit. Seems well sorted. I have 46 years riding ( 64 yrs age) Ive had RD 350,s YDS3 250 RZ 350 Heritage 650 2005 R6 and that's just the Yamys. This thing is minty and so good to look at I had to pick it up 36000 k and strong. Pulls you to Oh my God in short order. No need to mix the shifter pull it up to 120 thru the gears settle into 5th and thats it. Passes are just a roll on away. I love it. Oil/ tire chage today and then the long haul.. More later

The Fzr Bikes Are Excellent For Daily Riding, Espe

The FZR bikes are excellent for daily riding, especially in an urban environment. These bikes are popular with motorcycle messengers because of their bomber reliability and reputation for being able to take tons of abuse due to their solid construction and build. The FZR1000 was the top racing bike of its time and it handles very well for a bike of its age. Upgrade to an Ohlins rear shock and aftermarket fork springs and you will have no trouble keeping up with most other bikes in the canyons. The engine is a torque monster and the bike always feels planted. It pulls hard as you'd expect for 125 hp. I've taken it up to 165 mph and it felt remarkably stable. You will be grateful for the extra 100+lbs it carries over newer sportbikes riding through strong crosswinds on the highway. The 94-96 foxeye models have usd forks too. Of course the FZR will get stomped at the track against a modern sportbike piloted by riders of similar skill levels. Its a blast to ride though, comfortable, insurance is dirt cheap, and you get alot of performance for your money. You won't have to worry about thieves either like your friends with newer crotch rockets (of course you won't pulling power wheelies in second gear either). My bike has been ridden daily for three years, streetfightered.. knocked over so many times (no garage, street parking only on a busy street), been laid down at least twice, and was involved with some kind of fire and crash by the previous owner/s.. and its still going strong!

I Bought The Foxeye Model From New As A Sports Tou

I bought the foxeye model from new as a sports tourer and it was superb.

The rubber mounted clipon handlebars isolate the rider better than all other sports bikes of this generation. This, in combination with the largish fairing screen makes it one of the most comfortable sports tourers around.

The standard shock absorber is fine for normal road riding but not very adjustable. Yamaha owned Ohlins at the time this bike was manufactured and they should have fitted an Ohlins shock as standard.

The engine is somewhat agricultural in sound but provides immense torque and reliability.

I've ridden several versions of this bike including the earlier non Exup to the later ThunderAce and I would choose this model over all the others.

There's Always! More Power, She's A Beast So Smoot

There's always! more power, she's a beast so smooth and forgiving. Lift the frontwheel and forget your worries...

Downside: brakes = not enough stopping power. Brakes could/should be upgraded to early R1 brakes, though.
